This is the pizza I grew up on. I finally had a chance to get it again after many years and it was just as good as I remember. The thin crust that is just right, the tangy sauce, the italian seasoning.....mmm mmmmmm mmmmmmmm. My only complaint was it could use a little bit more cheese. Also if their hours were better I would be able to order it more but I have to get on the road back to my home before they open so I can never get it :( read more

I just tried this pizza for the first time and loved it. The ingredients were fresh and the crust was crisp. Delicious. Lower rating is due to long wait and health concerns. I arrived 5 min after pick-up time and waited another 10+ min because they were back-logged. Another star was removed because they are following no health protocols relating to the pandemic. I had to go inside into a small enclosed space to stand in line to pay for my order alongside customers who were not wearing masks. What really surprised me was that none (zero) of the 6-8 people working there and preparing food were not wearing masks. Service was awful, the lady who was at the register and answered the phone was extremely rude. I've never been to this place, so asked a couple questions of what was the most popular ordered item, and if they had chicken wings and answered rudely as if I were suppose to already know. This should have been a sign just to avoid it but reading some of the reviews on here I just went ahead and placed the order which I regret. The food was very greasy, taste was not great, sauce nor cheese had any special taste. I had the 18" spicy pepperoni thin crust which was nothing special. Definitely the last time I visit this place. I decided to try Rico's after reading El D's review.....this man seemed to take his pizza seriously! Rico's pizza was excellent. I now have it as one of my top favorite pizza's in the area....El D was correct, this area has great pizza. I ordered a sausage and cheese pizza, and I thought they were very generous on the sausage. Loved the old school packaging (pizza in a bag, not box), it was a refreshing blast from the past. I have ordered several times now, and the pizza was great every time. Rico's has the best thin crust pizza I have ever eaten, but I am not likely to order from them again. Rico's lost this longtime customer today. I have been buying their pizza since they were in the basement of Party Tap -- at least 30 years. Today, they quoted me one price on the phone , and the delivery driver quoted me a different price -- about $3 difference, not a big deal. When I asked about the discrepancy, the driver got his boss or someone on his cell on speaker. She was immediately rude and ended by saying that I could have the food at the lower price and then to tell me to never order from them ever again. I paid the driver the higher price and a tip and let him know they just lost my business. They say they don't want my business, they won't get it. I figure I have another 40 years left in me. Figuring pizza once a week at today's prices, Rico's just told my $60,000 worth of future business to take a hike. Plus, at least a couple of my friends and family will stop getting Rico's once they hear this story, so really it is more like $180,000 of what would have been guaranteed loyal business, with tons of referrals over the next 40 years just gone...over a three dollar mistake that THEY made because I deigned to ask about the difference.. read more

I ordered a ground beef,mushroom,and extra cheese pizza from here long story short, the pizza got here and all the toppings and cheese were off the pizza so what I got looked more like a pile of melted cheese mushroom and sausage and a large round piece of bread on the side,I called in and told them and the lady said she would replace my pizza and that the guy probably hit a hard corner and it fell off. I picked at the original pizza and it was bland,the sauce was bland,the ground beef was bland and the crust was as thin as a cracker. One of the best pizzeria's in all of Chicago.. I've eaten at my fair share of pizzerias all over Chicagoland from northside to southside, eastside to westside and each time I introduce people to Rico's, they become loyal patrons to Rico's..
