He brought us to our camp site to drop us off and he noticed we didn't have firewood, Spencer his employee brought us two bundles the next day when he picked us up for our boat ride. The boat was beautiful, clean and in great condition. It had great features like a grill onboard and a water slide that really rounded out the experience. Brett was our captain and he was funny, charming, and took great care of us. He also was so helpful in organizing details beforehand (meeting location, what we had to bring, etc.) The cost was incredibly reasonable per person, and our group is already talking about our trip next summer. Like they may have come from the nearby detention center. That is besides the point too. There are also great quirks to it too.Like seeing that all Latino baseball team playing out in the field. Men really ARE great in uniform! Sometimes I wish my birthday(which is today, February 19th) would be in the summer so I can treat myself to this kind of visual gift. Heck I do it anyway. It is ok to look as long as you don't touch-mutal agreement I have reached with my partner. He was looking too!! The Spring Creek Bike Trail goes through this park as well. Definitely a nice little stop to make while biking through... or a nice detour... or distraction that is from your bike ride! Ahem!

The first site of the course is heaven for disc golf. Numerous chained baskets in open grass meadows. How could it be bad. Whelp it was bad. The mass hoards of people make Johnny Roberts Memorial Disc Golf Course (normally the heaviest volume course on an average day in Denver Area) look desolate. Having been in tournaments and simply super heavy traffic days in the past I didn't let it get to me. What I did was the outright rude and often dangerous behavior of my fellow golfers. I mean I almost was scalped because the guys behind us just thought they could throw whenever met their fancy. GGGRRR. We had a talk...that's for sure. Having only gotten to play 14 of the 18 holes due to traffic jams and people throwing the disc maybe 10-15 feet at a time, I wasn't very pleased with this course. I will have to make a trip again to give it a second chance, but from what I've seen so far this isn't a friendly course. PS Disc Golf is supposed to be a friendly, at-leisure sport.

They have one picnic structure and a porta potty that was locked and then several trash cans. It seems more like this is more of a place where you stop to start your float down the river. Maybe you end your float down the river there at the parking lot I don't think I would stop there again for a picnic, but if I was planning to float on the river, it would be a good starting or stopping point.

Don't judge a trail by its first quarter mile. This Kingfisher Point natural area is getting a…read moreface lift that includes habitat restoration. It is sparse and the trees haven't started leafing out yet so I was hoping the whole trail didn't look like this. I'm glad I was patient. About .5 mile in, the trail hot to a neat old bridge and then ran right next to a river with mated pairs of ducks and geese. A little further on, the trail became windy and had a big pond with bull frogs croaking and turtles trying to cross the road. The area will be very shady when the leaves start coming. This is a heavily traveled trail on the weekends so be careful when walking so you don't become a casualty of a runner, biker, roller blader.

Went to St Peter's in Sunday. St Peter's staff asked where I was fishing and what I wanted to catch, picked me out some flies, answered some of questions and thoughtfully explained how to tie the flies and even drew a little picture for me. Back at the river with my St. Peter's recommended flies, I was catching trout in under 20 minutes! I will be back!

However, once the snow hits the ground, that is when it becomes a magical place of fun for people of all ages. Toddlers, kids, teenagers, college students, adults - all come out to play and sled! (or sometimes snowboard) I have been coming here the last 14 years with my kids, their friends, my friends and have countless wonderful memories here. The hill is pretty long at the top so plenty of space for lots of people to come and congregate. The sledding part is not super steep but its also not tiny or flat. If you are in the area in the winter when we have snow, come check it out! you will not be sorry you did!

You can wander through the long tanks with fish of all sizes. The Surrounding cliffs are magnificent, and there is camping on the river next door. A fun stop for a half hour or so, if you like looking at the fish!
