As someone who worked for AMC Theatres in downtown Fort Worth during high school, I'll admit--I'm pretty picky when it comes to movie theaters. That said, Cinemark Rave Ridgmar 13 and XD definitely meets the mark. The theater itself is comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Every auditorium features stadium seating with fully reclining chairs, which makes the movie experience that much more enjoyable. One of the best features is the design of each row--there's a large privacy wall behind each one, so you're not distracted by people behind you or having your view blocked. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference. While the surrounding Ridgmar Mall has seen better days--especially since Neiman Marcus moved to Clearfork and most of the other stores followed--it's worth noting that the mall is still kept in good condition. It may feel like a ghost town now, with just a few stores and a nearly empty food court, but I truly hope someone invests in revitalizing it. The location and structure have so much potential. If you're just looking to catch a great movie in comfort, Cinemark Rave Ridgmar 13 is a solid choice. read more

I've been going to this theater for 10 years now! Not sure how I haven't put in a review for it Lol. Well it's gonna be short and sweet, The theater is always pretty clean in my experience, well staffed and reasonably priced considering the prices around town these days. Nice pleather auto recliners , they offer movies in XD and now D Box as well which I'm not sure even does anything as I went to a movie once and didn't notice anything different about the seat but maybe it was just me or that movie idk. Overall this is my favorite theater in town to go see movies, the matinee is only $7.50 which I love and never had any problems here, so if you're looking for a good movie theater that's not as expensive as the Tavern then I would definitely recommend Rave cinema! read more

We went to an 8 pm showing and they stopped selling concessions right after the show started, so no refills on drinks, or on bottomless popcorn once the show started. We dropped our popcorn about 15-20 min into the show and I went to buy a new one and another water bottle and they were closed... Super disappointed. Staff was super nice though. I decided to go to the movies last night and see the Fabelman's. It was a lengthy film with lots of detail. I'm satiated with the plot of a cheater. So, I lost interest in the movie. The self kiosk reflected that no seats were available however, the ticket booth reflected tons of seats available. The gentleman at the booth was patient and understanding. Popcorn was buttery, oily and oh so good! DP was extra sweet. Employees were ready to clean after movie. The sound was a little loud. I recommend this Movie Theater. It's super clean with nice employees, concessions and good prices. If your on the Westside check out a movie on Tuesdays. You will enjoy it. read more

Been coming to the Rave for years to watch movies. Never had any complaints on the service, food or the quality of the movies or sound system used at the facility. They have plenty of arcade games for the kids any an adults who may want to play before or after watching a movie. read more

Poor experience. Went to an early morning screening and had children who refused to stop talking during the presentation. I asked management twice to ask the parents to quiet their children but the disruption continued. Very unsatisfied with experience and felt management refused to handle the situation appropriately. read more

I have been coming to this theater for years and it's still one of my favorite ones. Has its share of issues like any other business but overall stays consistent. They are one of the Cinemark locations that continues to carry pickles and I love that. Overall they have a pretty good staff; since I go regularly (almost weekly), it seems I have seen some newer faces. My only complaint is that this place usually has some restroom cleanliness issues...seems more so on the right side of the theater (the smaller restroom), not sure why. Otherwise, this is my go to theater. read more

The good: I've been here twice so far, and appreciate that I can't hear the movie next door. Perhaps, I just end up in a "good" theater, but so far 2 times, and I only clearly hear the movie I paid to see. This theater has reserved seating and reclining chairs, and those reclining chairs are super comfy. The theaters I've been in have been so well laid out that even if a tall person sat in front of me, I could still see the screen. Obviously, short folks, such as myself, were involved in the design plans. The theater is located in a mall, so if you arrive early, you can roam around and even snag some tasty treats at the food court. You can purchase tickets online, then print them at a kiosk at the theater. There are also manned ticket booths. Matinee prices are good. The "not necessarily bad, but ho-hum": Only regular movie snacks here like overpriced, not so tasty popcorn, and other overpriced fare such as soda, candy, hot dogs - typical movie fare. They need to clean up between screenings. There's been trash on the floor when I've walked into a theater. There's a huge parking lot outside the theater, but I did not feel safe walking in it by myself at night. The lot closest to the theater is dimly lit. I now park in a well lit lot close to a mall entrance and just walk through to the theater. read more

We showed up at about 340 to get tickets for the 405 showing. Doors were locked but we could see people behind the snack bar. The manager was back there waving at us through the window that they were closed. The guy wouldn't even come explain what was happening with the place. To the point we didn't even know if they were GOING to open. He was clapping his hands together at us from behind the snack bar... So about 350 they finally let us in. No popcorn, no tea, no margaritas.... We finally get into the theater and the AC had clearly been off for hours before we got there. Anyway. This place was a mess. We won't be back. I mean geez... Show up to work so the Popcorn machine, drink machines and the AC will actually work when the customers get there. $11 a ticket for that. Ridiculous. read more

This should be turned into a discounted movie theatre or offer cheaper tickets. When arrived our seats leather was missing and duct tape was holding apart the leather from continuing to tear. For the price of $12.00 could have went to a much newer nicer theatre but this was closer to where I live. Very disappointed. Could not get refills on large popcorn and staff was rude when I asked about if they had the speciality popcorn tins for the Mario movie. Will go elsewhere next time. read more

i went to this movie theater to watch a movie and got declined going in while i was with my dad. They questioned if he would take care of us and if he was our real legal guardian. If this is the rules, we need to update the online version because it says you have to have an id saying you're 17 OR be with legal guardian over 21. very sad experience from this theater. read more

Went to go see Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. Went and saw it in there XD theater. Great experience. The sound quality was terrific and the picture seemed so much better then there other rooms. The other rooms have a great picture, but this one just seemed much better. I believed they had new seats which were alright. I liked the other ones a little more because they laid back just a little more. But they were comfortable. A cool thing about the seats with the intensity of the sound is that the seats vibrated with the sound. Did get a large popcorn and Dr Pepper. Ti share between 3 people. The drink was more carbonated thank flavor and the popcorn tasted old. But during our movie and discovering that our stuff was like that, we didn't want ti miss any of the movie to get it fixed. But anyways, I recommend XD and the StarWars movie. read more

Been here a million times. Love the fact that I can reserve my seat and not have to worry about getting here early to get a good seat for a showing! Online ticket is the way to go! Quick check in and off to concessions! My only gripe is that I like to put my own butter on my popcorn! Yes, I'm that person. But other than that I like this place! The seats recline back and there's so much space! I will continue to go back. I've never had any problems with this theater or the staff. Horrible experience!! Staff was extremely rude. We got here 10 minutes after our movie started and they said there was no way for us to get tickets for it. We walked over to the kiosk and got tickets just fine. Once we walked in, the staff behind the counter was rude and acted put out to help us. read more

This is my favorite place to see movies in my area. It's close, it's got good screens and it's always clean and well managed in my experiences. Further, they recently went through a remodel and now have these amazing reclining leather seats! So comfy to sit in and because they recline, there is a good amount of space between you and the bloke behind you. So no more bumping my seat when you get up, no more kicking my seat when rowdy kids aren't being properly looked after. Loving this new setup. We saw Mad Max: Fury Road here just after they added these seats and it made the whole experience better. I have a lot of lower back pain so often times movie theater seats are very uncomfortable for me. Having to sit in the same uncomfortable seat for 2 hours can be a rough evening. But when my back would cramp up during Mad Max, I could just hit the recline button and change position without bothering anyone else. No shuffling around or annoying the poor guy behind me while I re situate myself and try to get comfortable. Just press, recline, relax. So nice and this will literally allow me to go to see movies more often. I've been to the Rave to see every Marvel movie and they are always fun, big bombastic films and I feel the sound system and screens do the films justice. But they are just about the only films I enjoy enough to head out to the theater to see. Now that The Rave has these new seats, I feel like I'll be making it out to the cinema more often. :) read more

Go here all the time with my kids. All their seats are leather like recliners. They are very roomy and comfortable. The popcorn and drinks are a bit expensive and the large drinks are no longer free refill. The large popcorn is free refill but only once. The pretzel is really good, but it's a bit pricey as well. All in all its our favorite place to go to the movies. Would be 5 star if the concession prices were a bit more fair. read more

Never had this problem with this movie theatre until now. Went to go see the movie "scary stories to tell in the dark", and while I was watching the movie, I felt something on my arm. Simply assuming that it was just my girlfriends hair, I didn't think about it until the end of the movie when I saw ants crawling all over me. Afterwards, I went up to the manager and all I was told was that he would go check it out, but I never heard anything back from him. Today, my arm blew up in size so I tried following up to make sure the situation was handled. I called a manager and while I was waiting to hear from one, I was put on hold and then hung up on. After that, I called again and I was told there was a "ticket for them to spray the seats down" but nothing more. Upset with the staff and with the lack of professionalism, customers are the only reason you get a pay check so I'd advise that they take it seriously when a customer has a serious complaint. read more

I come almost every weekend to watch literally every movie in theaters and now I can't because some lady claims I have to be exactly 21 to watch a rated r movie? Since when does a human have to be 21 to watch a RATED R movie I've been able to watch almost every rated r movie until now I am above age 18 and cannot enjoy a single rated r movie because of this women me and my boyfriend showed her proof of I'd saying we aren't under 18 and still couldn't now what? This is an update. We will not return. We have supported you weekly since you reopened. The young people who work there are terrific. The older man with glasses and older woman "manager" are absolutely horrible. He was a vulture harassing us about staying 6' feet apart. We were in the circle. He wanted us 15' behind that circle--and he came within arms length to tell us. We complied yet he still harassed. I told my friend that we should leave. I could just envision this man stalking us in the auditorium. What is a stressful situation already was made worse. The manager was loud, rude and embarrassed us. We got our $25 back and will not return. Unprofessional. I pity the young people who work under them. read more

I usually love this theater because of the comfortable reclining chairs and the privacy walls between rows. So, I went to see the 10am show of La La Land on Friday, because it's the only theater in Fort Worth playing it. During the previews, I noticed that the focus was soft. No big deal. I found someone and let them know. Previews continued and NOTHING changed. You couldn't make out details on actors' faces. The film started and the focus was still off, so I found someone else, apologizing for bothering them, and let them know again that the focus was soft in the La La Land theater. Missed the opening sequence and returned to my seat. NOTHING changed. I watched the entire probably-Oscar-winning movie in fuzzy focus. Thanks, projectionist. You had one job. read more

This was Rave- and they are still hanging onto the name. The kid that took our tickets said "Welcome to Rave." I was never here before Cinemark took over- so this is based on the theater as it is now. All the stars are for the assigned seating, XD option, new leather recliners, and because Cinemark is my preferred theater since work gives up free tickets. The XD in my opinion is just as great as the IMAX that AMC offers. The screen in this XD theater is huge and the sound more than drowns out people munching and chatting around you. The partitions on each row prevents you from having to be bothered by anyone on thier phone in front of you as well. The leather seats recline and have extra space in between each set of 2. Each section has only a small cup holder seperating the seats- so if you don't like being that close to a stranger you can buy the set- I like to use the extra space for my purse. I always buy the refillable cups every January. You can use them at any Cinemark for the entire year and it's on $3.50 to full everytime. Its more than enough soda pop for a movie. This location has the dirtiest bathrooms I've ever seen at a cinemark. Obviously I'm just speaking g on behalf of the womens- but it always looks like some drunk teens TeePee'd the stalls. Also the popcorn seems to be either overly salty or old when we come here. I have to ask them to make fresh popcorn everytime. read more

The screen image here is okay. No visible damage on the screen; however, they cropped it wrong. I was a little suspicious at first, but had nothing to confirm my feelings. It was only after reading the credits at the end did I notice the bottom being cut off. I'm sure some allowance should be given as not everything is perfect, but to have the bottom of a studio logo cut off is a bit extreme. Sound here is also meh. It's not very crisp nor loud. You can hear everything clearly, but there's not that extra 10%. I wouldn't recommend watching something like an action movie here. Most of what makes a movie is sound so having good audio is important. Otherwise, you lost a little bit of the experience. read more

The concessions are typical of a theater, so expensive and bad for you but I still buy them every time. Reserved seating is great. They kick phone users and annoying people out. Disappointed. The "luxury seats" do NOT recline. I watched customer after customer hunt for the non-working 'magic' button. Misleading and poor management. Only a handful of customers had seats that reclined. The employees are amazing and helpful. Upkeep of the theater needs SERIOUS improvement. read more
