Indiska always has colorful clothes and textiles for your home…read more This stores has two storeys, with textiles and home decor on upper floor. Everything from rugs and pillows to and candles and table tablets. They even have a few furnitures, that is pretty pricey. At least not the price you pay for impulsive purchases, which I assume buying a bureau here must be. I love the style of their furnitures! Street floor is women's clothing. The clothing is not what I were, even if there are a few pretty blouses. I go here for home styling - I really love browsing their home textiles. I recently decorated my entire balcony with stuff from Indiska - they had some cute plastic rugs that are perfect for outdoors. They accept AMEX.

I like the fact that this is a clothing store for plus sized women, but why does everything as soon…read moreas it is about larger sizes always have to be so extremly ugly and all designed for someone's aunt? There are of course also cute clothes but I think they are a bit pricy. Not hugely overpriced but it is no fun having to pay SEK800 for a simple blouse that is not of any particular brand. I realize plus size needs more fabric, but I doubt that is the reason, it's more likely a question of supply and demand in this case. Sizes 42 - 52 (EU). Helpful staff. They accept AMEX.

They offer both ladies and men's wear in colors like brown, grey, marine - always a stone washed look. These seems to be the no one color scheme. Why I am holding back the fifth star is because of the pricetags...a little teeny weeny bit on the pricy side. Like SEK 1500 for sweaters. I gasped...but it was truly nice looking! The owner is superfriendly and helpful and really nice. Just ask if you are the least hesitant on your alternatives or what to choose. Accept AMEX.

It certainly is not the best quality and I often find their textiles smelling from dyed color if you know what I mean. But I can live with that. Lagerhaus has everything kitsch you didn't know you needed not even was possible to need!…read more I like the color schemed shelves filled with candles, plastic, paper, decoration, toiletries, textiles, glasses, plates, jars, even eatable (any color) stuff. Probably not the most qualitative items, but still fun. They often have buy-4-pay-for-3 or similar offers so it is easy to bargain! There is even a flower shop and a record shop upstairs (check out for tickets for instance). Crap and kitsch and cute. You find it all here!

Now I was in the neighborhood and in need for a certain store I knew was here. Even though (or maybe because of) it was Saturday it was pretty peaceful and calm here. This is the most well stocked true thrift store I've been to in Gothenburg. A lot of other places…read moreare focused on apparel and footwear only but this is like the ones you'd find in North America, donated items and not just apparel. They have some selection of kitchenware, framed art, appliances and a ton of clothing. Each of the floor didn't seem big but they have 3 or 4 floors, we had been walking all day already so I only made it to the 2nd floor and decided today is not the day to thrift hunt. Though I didn't purchase anything from here, I saw some great items that piqued my interest. Just didn't want to carry all over town with our visit. Definitely check them out if you're in the area and are looking for a true thrift shop, though the pricing on some items can be pricy. Employees seemed nice. Just another note, I noticed that the thrift stores in Sweden smelled the same as the ones in the US. Thought that was interesting that the 2nd hand smell is the same. :)
(This is run for the benefit of the Salvation Army's social programme)…read more Myrorna sell only second hand stuff. You can find clothes, books, porcelain, utensils and furnitures etc. This store is large (3 storeys) and very well organized. Very well. I like that they arrange the glass and porcelain items on the ground floor colorwise. Books are around 20 SEK (paper back) and up. Otherwise i sometimes find it a bit pricy actually. (A second hand shirt from Melka at 110 SEK???) Nowadays it is not easy to bargain, they know how to price valuable and sought for items. Which is a pity. If you even get the chance to find them in the store.
