Amazing customer service. Had our AC go out late Friday and couldn't get our unit serviced until the next business day. Gave Right Away a call Saturday morning and Patrick was at our house in 30 minutes. Diagnosed the issue and we were back to getting cool air after replacing the motor. Right Away Air Conditioning was recommended initially to me by another HVAC Company, as Right Away specializes in air duct cleaning. Air duct cleaning, to be done properly, needs to be some specialized equipment. Living in the dusty desert, I find it absolutely necessary to be done every 5-7 years. It was an amazing process and the high tech equipment they use is top notch. The service techs were outstanding. Travis, most notably takes the lead and is highly talented in his profession, communicates the issues/procedures, thoroughly. He was able to identify an issue with the routing of my ducts which another company had done when installing a new system. The haphazard way that the other company had routed the ducts, caused inefficiencies in my system in addition to a possible fire hazard. Travis again, was on top of this, had taken photos and described the issues at hand. I had another issue arise later on that was unrelated to their work, but something that caused an issue that I deemed as emergent, close to the end of the work day. Again, Travis cheerfully came to the rescue, quickly identified and rectified the problem, until more work could be done in the light of the next day. I'm very impressed with Patrick and his team. Our granddaughter's ac went out Saturday night. Her apartment was 95 degrees, so she needed immediate service. The handyman was useless. Came out put new refrigerant in. A week later air conditioning was not working. Called someone else out. Trying to get my money back. He is requesting I give him back the original refrigerant. How would that be possible when new refrigerant was put in. read more

Patrick installed my new AC. I did not give him five starts because, although I am happy with my AC and Patrick in general, everything did not go perfectly. I am suspicious of anyone whose ratings are always five stars. In fact I almost did not hire Patrick because he had so many five-star ratings. I interviewed three AC companies before choosing Patrick. He was not the cheapest of the three but he seemed honest and as a young business owner, I wanted to give him a chance. The day the AC was to be put in, I was not in town so my father came over to open the house. Patrick's secretary called my father and told him they would arrive at 9:00. At 10:00 my father called to see why they had not arrived. At 11:00 he called again and was told that a necessary part was not in stock and it would be two weeks before they could do the installation. My father was very upset that he had wasted an entire morning. Patrick apologized and gave my father a $50 gift card to compensate. Everything went well after that and the AC works great. After the installation, I contacted Patrick to give him the final payment. He told me to wait until the City inspector had been out. A week later, I received a past-due notice and called Patrick's secretary. She said the inspection would be done the next business day which was Monday. I asked if it could wait until Thursday as I would be back in town then. She insisted on Monday so again I asked my father to open the house. Later on that Monday morning I got an email stating "sorry for the late notice but the inspection was now scheduled for Tuesday." That secretary no longer works for Patrick. Finally I got a bill for two smoke detectors which the city inspector required. I thought the bill was excessive. So I went to Lowe's and Home Depot to price smoke detectors. I was not consulted regarding the smoke detectors and they were not part of our contract. After several emails, Patrick called me personally and stated he would not to charge me for the smoke detectors. However I did want to pay him and he accepted a lower price which I thought was more fair. I think Patrick is honest and he did a good job. I am happy to see he has hired a new secretary. I used another AC company... Actually two other AC companies before finding Right Away Air on yelp...I usually only use companies that have been referred to me... ...but the last two companies had been referred to me and they both messed up royally... One company pissed off my tenants & was servicing that unit on an annual basis... Come to find out, that company wasn't totally cleaning what needed to be cleaned so there was buildup that caused a lack of air flow & added to the freezing of the unit... The next company went over & just took a glance at the unit without inspecting it and said that we would need a new AC unit all because it was frozen... they didn't bother to tell me that until taking a look at it after the unit was defrosted...and that was going to cost thousands of dollars...heck no! Plus, that company told my tenants that the AC needed to be replaced & planted that seed...when it wasn't necessary at that time...I'm the customer, not my tenants...that other company knew this...also, I fired them & they still came over the next day & rep lugged the AC in & caused it to refreeze...setting the repair & cleaning job back another day as it took many hours to unfreeze... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...Check out my other Reviews to see who these co's were... I will write them soon... Ok, that's enough complaining about the other companies... This is supposed to be a review of Right Away Air... I guess the above explanation was important because I needed to then call right away air to fix what these other bozos broke... Seeing that many other people were happy with their service on Yelp gave me some peace of mind... my overall experience with Patrick and crew at right away air is that they do what they say they're going to do... After diagnosing the issue, Patrick advised me of several options that I had... And several ways to save money as well... he gave me "good, better, and best" options... I always like that approach... I don't want to be told that there's only one option... That is annoying... Thank You Patrick for not being annoying... :-) Communication between me and office staff and Patrick was not 100% but it was more like 95%...minor things were overlooked...but I can deal with that...no one is perfect...
