I have received THREE different emails over 6 weeks from Optimum after being told by Retention that they had given me a small monthly discount. They then emailed me confirmation of my new monthly rate. Yet when I went to pay my bill there was no record of this new monthly bill. This has been going on since April and I finally had enough and am going to be transferring my business to AT&T. I can get 5 Ghz internet there as well as a nice channel lineup for $75 less per month. More importantly I've been a cellular customer with AT&T for 15 years and never had an issue with them keeping their word. My second to last call to Optimum was to ask for an address where I could send a letter. They didn't know their corporate address...but wanted to give me a $50 loyalty discount for the next three months. I said I didn't really care but the woman was very apologetic and really wanted to give me the discount so I accepted. I paid my bill and the local office said that there was a $50 discount. However a week later I checked my account and it showed I had a past due amount of $50. I called Customer Service yet again and they swore to me that I didn't owe the $50 and said that perhaps the computer hadn't updated the bill yet. That was 3 weeks ago and I still owe the $50 according to Optimums website. Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Optimum simply doesn't seem to care one single bit.

Our apartment was supposed to be sprayed for bugs 3 times now and no one came to spray. We now have a roach infestation and we have bug bites. Apparently according to neighbors, the entire complex has them and no one does anything about it. You just have to deal with your own bug problem however you can.. The neighbors all break the pet agreement but management doesn't care. We were supposed to upgrade to a larger, better apartment but it took them two months to get back to us and didn't have any openings for another two to three months. Drug deals go down in the parking lot and no one does anything about it. People blast their music in their cars in the parking lot and management absolutely does not give a shit. Neighbors have the cops called on them multiple times for fighting and beating each other up on the parking lot or outside. The mailboxes are routinely broken into and poorly maintained. And these are "remodeled" with "oversize closets" and "amazing amenities" They do not care. We are trying to get out of here as quickly as possible. DO NOT LIVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The staff at this terrible establishment have will go out of their way to lie. Nobody is ever on the same page, give you the run around and somehow you will get charges to you acct. for all of this. This complex host all types of gang violence and drug actives. Imagine sitting on your porch enjoying the cool air on a nice spring night then all of a sudden you hear a barrage of gun shots less than 100ft from you. Of enjoying the fireworks from the same place you call home and hearing bullets fall from the sky hitting parked cars 20 ft from you. The break ins and theft are at all time high in this hotspot for crime. I've had my car broken into several times over night and know all my neighbors have also. They boast an elegant experience but you will almost always be disappointed in every aspect. The larger of the 2 pool was hasn't been available to use in about 3 years. So a complex with thousands of units is confined to only 1 smalls kitty pool that is only 4ft deep and 40x20ft. I'm sure that in itself is cause for alarm in the hygiene and public health department. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE IS YOU HAVE CHILDREN!!! The dogs run around wish no leashes and on many occasions I've been confronted with very aggressive dogs that will bite a kid without thinking twice. It seems like every apartment has 2-3 dogs. I've had packages taken from my front pour h more times than I can count. I wouldn't dare step onto the golf course either. Me and my wife went to go play a few hole of golf, everything was going great until I turn around and my golf cart was being driven away by a few young kids. The holes in the fence are big enough for anyone to get through so everyone is walking around on the course. The list can go on and on for a for ever. But I am running out of space.
