We have been going on a regular basis and have never had an issue until tonight. We ordered 6 of the little carne asada tacos, which we order frequently, they confirmed it was tacos when they read back our order and then proceeded to charge us and give us 6 giant burritos. We went back through the drive-thru and they said absolutely no refund and we would have to buy the tacos if we wanted them (my son won't eat the burritos). I'm very disappointed, that was an extra $40, more burritos than we could ever eat, and they weren't willing to help make it right. What more can I say about Rigerberto's? I went into Rogerbertos with the understanding that I had a severe shellfish allergy from my childhood. But when Rigerbertos accidentally gave me the Diablo burrito instead of the Oregon one a potentially fatal mistake has led me to be able to eat not just shrimp but something I have never had - succulent and juicy lobster. Thank you!!! The accidental and potentially fatal mistake actually opened my world to new flavors and for that FIVE STARS. Also the Diablo burrito had chewy shrimp and it wasn't that great but the spices were amazing. read more

Tonight we ordered Nachos with the Carne Asada beef topping. They were amazing large containers of food. The nacho chips were crisp and fresh. The beef Carne Asada is to die for, respectfully spiced and cooked to perfection. Included was a small amount of sour cream, and we chose avacado sauce. Rigoberto's is my favorite place for quick Mexican food in Albany. Their tacos are great, with a good mix of meat and veggies, their burritos are large, and I've enjoyed almost everything I've had. The (Al) Pastor meat is amazing, whether in burritos or tacos, and their breakfast burritos are great, too. Their hot sauces are really good; for most things I like their red sauces more than the green but 1) some things like carnitas the red isn't as good for and 2) the red is usually substantially hotter than the green. read more

So just to be fair, I am not the worlds biggest Mexican food fan. I have heard good things about this place and the fact it's open 24/7 which simply is something that doesn't happen around these parts of the woods. There is a drive though as well as inside seating. This trip was the drive through and we were the third car in line. The service was very quick, not more than 10 minutes and then our turn at the window. So the line moves fast. There menu is extensive with many different combinations and selections. For me, I had the Beef combination #7. The rest of the family got various different things and we were on our way. The Combo meal was delicious. With shredded beef, you get two very generous portions of burrito's beans and rice. Don't forget to order some of the green sauce! I like my burritos to be wet so this for me was a great adder. So if your ever in need of some good inexpensive Mexican food, no matter what time of day or night, you need not look any further! read more

Rigoberto's has the best Mexican food from here to San Diego. It's my go to for authentic Mexican food.

Their shredded beef tacos are delicious. My daughter got their Rigoberto burrito and it was delicious as well. My husband usually orders their shrimp burrito; however this last visit the shrimp burrito wasn't made the same and had an unpleasant taste. Staff are always friendly. We will still go there and try some other things, as they may have just made the burrito wrong. Definitely recommend this spot if you are wanting some good fast Mexican food. read more

While it may not be the freshest Mexican food I've had, it was still very delicious. The tacos were savory, the tortilla itself was ok. I ordered some sort of chicken dish compete with grilled vegetables. It was phenomenal. I wish I could have remembered what it was called. The horchata is a must have with anything you order here. Really nice staff, and they're quick and efficient. But they jacked their prices since the last time I went. A burrito that was 6.50 is now 8 bucks ++. That's almost a 25% increase. And it was across the whole menu board. What they always had going for them was they were as good but cheaper than their competitors. That is no longer the case. Mind you the food is still pretty good, but I don't go as much because I am spreading the love, as it were. Too many places just as good, and better prices. read more

The food hear is awesome, the portions are generous and they make it fast! The make food fast, but it's not FAST FOOD. We had the chicken taco platter. The chicken was tender and juicy and spiced perfectly. The rice and beans on the side complimented the tacos nicely. The drive thru had a looong line, that told me this place must have food worth waiting in line for and I was right! We decided to eat inside and everything was clean and well stocked. We sat near the register and I was keeping an ear on what other people ordered. I didn't see a single person go "uuuummm..." while they stared at the menu, no they knew exactly what they wanted so I'm thinking they have a lot of regulars who eat there often. For every one of them selling good, authentic grub at a stellar price there's another just coasting. I ordered a chicken Fajita ($5.10) a bottle of real sugar Coke ($1.75, me thinks) and a side chips and salsa ($3 or so) The Chips and Salsa came out with the chips hot (WIN!) but it was full serving, good enough for two or three guys. Kind of a bummer that they didn't offer a side of chips, only an appetizer portion, it would have saved me a couple of bucks. They gave me plenty of salsa too. The chips were good however the salsa tasted like it had sat around a couple days. I ate hoping I didn't pay for it later (I didn't). Big Fajita came out in a few moments. Nothing tasted fresh and it was all one note. There was not really any depth of flavor or anything. I couldn't really describe the fajita if you asked me to (Best description? Hot stuff rolled up inside, spicy. That's all I can come up with.) There was a TV playing in the background. The drive through seemed remarkably busy. Rigobertos could really do themselves a favor and chop all their veggies same day. It's really apparent they a lot of the veggies sat for days. Kind of a shame since fresh isn't any more expensive than old. Like other places of similar style, Rigobertos has a vast menu with maybe a hundred options. That's NEVER a good sign. Trim down the menu and focus on fresh, those two things work quick wonders. Anyway, I'd avoid this joint if I was hungry again. Two stars for portion size. read more

I've been eating here since elementary school and still die over their food to this day. I have now had about a dozen lunches here at Rigoberto's, and all of those experiences have been great. I'm a happy guy if a place can fill my belly (for a reasonable price), and offer me a clean place to enjoy their food. Rigoberto's has yet to disappoint. Have I been there a time or two when I had to ask for a rag to clean my table?? Sure have. But hell... I think we've all been too busy to stay on top of things in our own lives before. The place gets slammed. So what if you have to spend a minute wiping a table or something. I typically get a burrito, tacos, and/or a plate of nachos here. Disgusting. Cheap cheap carnitas. We are not super picky but the carnitas burritos were gross. They tasted a lot like dark turkey meat. Definitely did not taste like carnitas at all. After a couple of bites of fatty weird turkey flavored pork, I found a nice big chunk of something resembling INTESTINE in it. I've added a picture. $12 in the trash. Made us sick to our stomachs. I've had the breakfast burrito here and it was fine but this was just plain gross. I've never had such a disgusting experience at any restaurant. read more

My husband and I recently moved to Albany, and drive by Rigoberto's every day. Yesterday we decided to stop and try it for dinner. We both got the Rigoberto Burrito. Which is steak, potato's and cheese, and they give you 2 different sauces in little convenient containers. It was AMAZING! The meat was tender and not super fatty or chewy, and they didn't skimp on the cheese, which is really important to me, as I love cheese. It was also HUGE! I was stuffed about 2/3 through it. My husband thought it was so good, he went back this morning to try the breakfast burrito, which he said was also delicious!! This will definitely be a new regular spot for us as it's so convenient, and cheaper than going to a sit down place. read more

Staff service was excellent, cashier was polite friendly and helpful. Prices are good. I ordered 3 tacos - 2 pastor, 1 chicken. The pastor was my favorite. Tender flavorful meat and plenty of it. We also tried the tripas burrito. It was good sized and enjoyed that it did not come with beans and rice. It was pure meat and pico de gallo. More meat for the money! Meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Jamaica was very good. This food reminded us a lot like Los Angeles Mexican food. I cannot think of anything that lacking. read more

What's in a name? Well, when I order a "Giant" burrito, I would expect that it be a meal in itself. I was in the other day and asked which the cashier thought were the best. He told me, so I ordered that bacon, egg, and potato one. It was very good. I was done with it in just a matter of moments though. It took far longer for me to get my order than to eat it. I had been told that the shrimp burrito was good, so I ate that (not that great to be fair), and the Oregon burrito (pretty tasty and filling). It took 3 "giant" burritos to get full... so I ask you, what's in a name. As an added bonus, they had "gangland" on tv while my girlfriend and I were there. So we got to see crime scene photos of gang shootings while we ate. She did not care for that a bit. read more
