After texting him some pics and measurements, his quote seemed very reasonable, so I took the plunge. I had a really good feeling about him and was not disappointed. I went to his shop and he let me take some of his fabric books home. I found one I loved and let him know. He ordered it and then came to get the sofa pretty quickly. He had it for several weeks, which I expected, and just returned it yesterday. The pictures will show why I love it so much. He payed close attention to detail and gave me what I asked for. The loveseat has a whole new feel as they plumped it comfortably. It is so beautiful and I wish I'd done it sooner. I highly recommend his services. I have some other items I will ask him to do. We had 4 dining chair seats re-done, foam and fabric. Rigo was easy to work with on the quote, and he and his guys did perfect work. It might be a good idea to call ahead to make sure Rigo is there in the shop. The first time I went he was out picking up a big job to do. We have 3 nice bar stools in which the faux leather seat material had deteriorated somewhat over a number years. The backs of the stools still looked like the day that we bought them. I thought about simply buying new bar stools online, but after scrolling through product after product, I really couldn't find replacement stools that were as nice as what we already had. I checked with 3 upholstery companies about re-upholstering just the seats, one of which was Rigo's. I got a quote from them within in minutes. They had a material in stock that was very close to the original, which I accepted. Rigo, the owner, noticed that the seating/cushioning material was worn out. He said that he would "rebuild" the cushioning material. This was something that I didn't realize until his skilled eye brought it to my attention. He informed me that this was a relatively small job, that they could knock it out in 1 - 2 weeks. Five days later, I was picking up the bar stools, which looked awesome to me (plus the rebuilt cushioning was firm, probably like it was when we originally bought these bar stools). My wife, who knows about sewing and such things thought that the stools looked GREAT, which made me very happy! read more

Several months back, I put out an SOS for upholsterers in or proximate to Mira Mesa and my Mira Mesa neighbors did not disappoint. I took my tired, old, sad and sorry looking bench to Rigo's. Rigo and his amazing staff exceeded even my most modest of expectations. He worked a miracle, IMHO, with three (3) yards of fabric. I wanted the tufts to be sunk deep. I wanted English countryside overstuffed! I wanted piping! Not only did he deliver exactly what I asked for, he even inserted buttons which were not included in the original bench in the tufts which exaggerated the diamond pattern even more! But wait! There's more! The muslin was replaced as well with an even thicker grade and quality of fabric! To say my expectations were exceeded is understating how pleased and overjoyed I am with my new bench and the quality of Rigo's skill and craftsmanship. It's been almost two hours and I can't stop admiring it! So I have to say TWO very pleased and satisfied 's *way* up for Rigo's Upholstery. I am only sorry that I never got to meet him in person, but truly, it's a testament to how easy he is to communicate with: I needed a couch and a chaise lounge reupholstered in a short window of time. I recently went to Rigo's on a recommendation from a friend. I had 4 dining chairs that needed to be recovered. There were many fabrics to choose from and Rigo was very helpful. I am so impressed with Rigo and his team. We needed our 6 dining room chairs reupholstered; they are 32 years old with stains from years of kids and worn out seat padding. Rigo's team did an amazing job converting our old chair seats to something beautiful and new! He even recommended that I could buy the fabric at other shops (which I did). Rigo and his team's attention to detail was amazing (centering the pattern perfectly on all 6 chairs), and they even added some nice piping/finishing around the bottom of each seat (from the new chair fabric). This makes the chairs look very classy. The new foam padding is extremely comfortable, too. The crew picked up the seats and reinstalled them for me at my house.
