This was an amazing Bicycle buying experience!
First, they only sell the best of the best made bikes in Amsterdam. BSP is one of the few dutch made brands that haven't been taken over by Chinese or American companies.
The Bike I bought was a BOOZZ, solid well made. Louie "Lowie" (as he likes to be called) showed me the ropes with the bike and basic maintenance. He gave me all the tools I needed to do 95% of the maintenance on this bike. If you are flying KLM, you can ship it back on the airplane for $100 Euro. Considering what this bike would cost in the USA - that is a BARGAIN and a half! The best part was taking the bike to the airport - it was an instant "go to the front of the line" situation!
Oh. one thing I will tell you - the bike tubes are different. I urge you to ask for a handful of extra "Dunlop" or "Woods" valves. The valve structure for bikes is different. You may want to get a pump. I've found that getting the schrader adapter in the USA will work with most pumps. I did not ask for extras and regreted it. Thankfully an awesome place in LA had extras and I was able to pump up my tired again! More info on the valve AND also an awesome place in the states for dutch bike maintenance and parts http://flyingpigeon-la.com/2011/03/pumping-up-european-tires/ read more
