Lackluster recall and customer service, and impossible to contact above all. I filed a viable claim with Erie Insurance for a burst pipe in December 2022, which I am still attempting to reconcile, with no guidance or assistance from this agency. At every turn, Casper has failed to advocate for me, instructing me at one point to defer to Erie's adjuster, all the while knowing almost nothing about me, my policy and associated rights, or my prior attempts at communication. Needless to say, I've recently filed an insurance complaint with the Commonwealth. If you've had good experience with Casper, that's as it should be. I decidedly have not, and am disappointed to hear from others than my experience is not only ordinary, it's commonplace. I will be switching to another agency upon resolution of my claim. If my request is denied, I'll be leaving Erie altogether, and largely on account of the indifference of this agency.

Total garbage. They raise your premium without fail every single year, even if you've NEVER filed…read moreclaim, additionally; I recently had to switch to a, "landlord policy" and although my personal belongings are not present in the property anymore, it went up again, to the tune of about $500, if that wasn't enough, they double charged my escrow account causing an escrow shortage and never issued a refund... though they claim it was sent to my old home (the insured property) even though they have my correct mailing address. These people are scam artists and likely taking advantage of many other people in the same way, collecting interest on funds never refunded over the coarse of years. If I hadn't been persistent with my mortgage company (a 2 hour conversation) then followed up after still not getting a refund check... and still haven't btw, I'd be out a large about of money. All the money I've sent them and never even used the insurance... NOT EVEN ONCE!! The ONE time I tried to use it was because I had a raccoon break into the attic... what did they tell me? "You have a rodent exclusion" guess what; raccoons are NOT rodents, they're carnivora and these people should know better. Makes me sick. I'm on my way out from these thrives. Buyer beware.

In 2024, I obtained insurance quotes from several insurance companies, and my husband and I decided to purchase auto, home, and umbrella insurance policies through Madia Insurance Agency, which sells Erie insurance, because they had the best communication, coverage, and premiums. Since then, my husband and I used the auto insurance to pay for a replacement windshield after a rock had flown off the road and cracked the glass. Madia Insurance recommended a particular repair shop. The repair shop replaced the windshield but unfortunately also cracked a bracket for the camera. We paid $100, and Erie paid the rest. Madia Insurance contacted the repair shop and got them to replace the windshield again and the camera bracket for free. My husband and I felt very happy that Madia Insurance advocated for us.

Even the after hours people who answer are great. With Brandy, I have car insurance with Road Side Assistance, life insurance, and homeowners insurance. As of today we just added my husband to the policy to have him and his vehicle covered. In addition to great coverage at a great price, something that's really important to me is who you're talking to when something goes wrong. Imagine something really really bad happens and now you have to deal with Insurance. I know Brandy and her team will be there when it really counts.
