The book selection is pretty good, it's the best bricks and mortar retailer in the town if you're looking for books, the prices obviously are more than Amazon. It also is home to a decent selection of stationary and the post-office. The typical old-fashioned WHSmith decor in older stores remains, the carpet is less than ideal as it looks ragged and dirty, I much prefer the wooden style floors in their newer stores. Still a pretty decent WH Smith location, useful location within the town offering some decent services. 3*

While it is only a small store, it does feel slightly nicer than other locations as they've replaced the outdated carpet with a nice wooden floor, which makes the store more cleaning and more appealing. The selection is OK, although it is small in some areas they did have a nice selection of books and stationery. The drinks fridge and selection of newspapers/magazines was smaller than an average WHSmith store. 3* - Good store for books/stationery or visiting the Post Office but they don't seem to have the whole WHSmith offering you'd expect.

They have a good range of collectables as well as reasonably priced jewellery. We have bought two Christening items and each came well presented with and offer for free engraving, because we were buying more than one item they also knocked a bit off the price. I think this shop is great for the offers they have on their books. They always get the best sellers in here and if they don't have they will order it for you and have it in store for you by the end of the week. I really can't fault them! It's a shame really because the wh smith in blackburn has had to move to a smaller premesis as there is a nwe shopping centre being built. They don't have as much stuff in this shop but still i can't complain! I just hope they get a bigger shop once the new shopping centre is built. I love the sales in here!
