First, I will begin with the reception team because they are the first direct contact with the patient. I cannot be more amazed of how efficient the Front Desk people are (Jackie and Mindy). They always have a smile on their faces and are ready to address any question you may have. Next, I encountered Elvie, The Physical Therapist who is another asset to this business. She is also not surprisingly very professional and communicative. She has great bed side manners to where you can receive treatment and have a conversation, which brings character to the staff. Lastly, Dr. Marlowe is an awesome doctor! I am still currently seeking treatment and I cannot be more grateful of my progress. I have spent most of the last year in severe lower back pain. My pain was starting to take over my whole life and drain all of my happiness. I spent months battling with different doctors at Kaiser who told me nothing was wrong and threw NSAIDS and muscle relaxers at me and at one point even telling me it was in my head and to take anxiety medication. I was a 27 year old woman trapped in the body of an 80 year old. Well, no more! I had my first visit yesterday and while I didn't feel different afterwards, I felt much different today! After taking radiographs of my spine they were quickly able to tell me what was wrong and what steps i needed to take to get better. I have arthritis of my lower back and hips that radiates up to my neck and I constantly get headaches. I decided to try Ringer chiropractic about a year ago after referring patients to him for sciatica in pregnancy. I can honestly say I have never felt better. Do not go here. I came in for an issue with my SI joint and he came into the room with a care plan without even talking to me. When I was telling him what was wrong he wasn't listening and just told me this is what we're going to do and it's all just going to come down to whether or not you value getting better. He never took x-rays on me and adjusted me pretty aggressively the first time I came in and on the follow up after his adjustment I ended up with a displaced rib that's rubbing up against my nerves and a pinched nerve in my back. My new chiropractor who did do X-rays on me the very same day informed me of this. I was having lower back aches & tightness for quite some time & just attributed it to holding my child all the the time. It felt like I needed to crack my back but it just wouldn't pop!!! What a frustrating experience when I was really sick! I called to the office (Ringer Back & Injury Clinic) to make an appointment when I had a bad pain. My insurance used to cover Chiropractics for many years so I gave them a brief info about this when I called and arrived. I told them I have a X-ray appointment at another Hospital in the afternoon, but they recommended taking it in their office next day. I told them that I will take X-Ray in their office ONLY when my insurance covers chiropractics. What did they say? "No problem, we know your insurance very well and verify the insurance ASAP" I took several services "next day" without any insurance issue. However, one week after....they gave me a big bill for all services since my insurance dropped the chiropractic benefits several months ago. Whatever situations are, they should have verified the insurance as they promised. But I was OK at that time because it's an insurance policy I have. A receptionist even told me that they're going to apply a special rate for uninsured patients. I appreciated. Next day, they changed their words....they are going to charge more than double than the uninsured rate promised. What they said to me is "I don't care...what another receptionist told you..." Yes.....what I heard was "I DON'T CARE..." All staff including the doctor told me that they requested the insurance verification on that day I visited the office for the first time. If they really did, we could avoid any insurance issue. But.... What I found after I contacted my insurance company is that they did request the insurance verification THREE DAYS LATER! Yes, they lied on the above insurance verification date until I found the fact. I asked them "Why did you promise to verify the insurance on the first day....but didn't do it for three business days?" The answer....? "BECAUSE WE HAVE TOO MANY PATIENTS...." Unbelievably, it's their excuse for their lie to the patient. I couldn't believe what I heard.... Patients want to be cared when they are sick...It's a very simple fact. But they provided wrong info to the patient until patient find the fact....Yes, they even INSISTED that they requested the insurance verification on the first day and BLAMED the insurance company's delay on the response....... It's really sad to see this type of "unprofessional" and "I don't care" business in Tracy, e.g., Friendly City. What I can say at this point is that "This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life." "I don't care.." "We have too many patients"...
