This is a very convenient place to stay if you happen to get stuck at this Rio airport! The staff was very professional; well dressed, actually, too! The room was spacious, but the kind of amenities you find in an airport hotel in the US (e.g., several hangers in the closet) were absent. Conveniently located inside the airport for those whose flights have been canceled, upstairs in terminal 1, domestic. My flight in aeorolinea Argentina had a sick pilot and no replacement which meant the flight was completely cancelled and rescheduled for the following day, same time. They then dealt with the situation very slowly and finally ended up compensating the passengers with a night's stay here with meals included. Staff was professional though not completely friendly. Rooms are clean and furniture doesn't look well worn and bathroom looks updated. Room includes a safe in which you sign a waiver at check-in saying you understand anything valuable should be placed in the safe. A snack bar and mini fridge is well stocked with a menu of the prices. Amenities include basic shampoo, soap, tissues etc. Shower was hot and clean. The bathroom was so small that the door didn't completely open, it hits the toilet, which ensures whomever is using it needs to close the door. Wifi was spotty, I had to get my password reset because it wasn't working. There's a couple corners of the hallway that open up to a sitting room with couches where you can receive the airport wifi since the room only supports one device at a time. They have a tiny gym consisting of a weight bench, treadmill and bike. Food was decent buffet style accompanied by a drink (soda or the like). Something were bland and others too salty but many options allow one to find something they like. Waiters were cordial and you can charge to your room, just tell them your room number when you enter, and sign the tab when you leave and give the receipt to the person at the door. read more
