My 11-year-old granddaughter has been with Rise Talent and Dawn Sullivan, five months and loves it. She has already been going to auditions and was hired for a full feature movie, to be released in the near future! She has become SAG eligible, working with two well known actors, you would know them, as well. Her acting coach is Texas Battle and her modeling coach is Torres Ingraham. Both top notch. Dawn did a studio photo shoot session when she first signed up, for a fantastic price of $375. We were there with other want-to-be first time models, but felt we were given full attention when it was our time. Over 800 photos, 4/5 outfit changes, professional make-up and hair artist, indoors and outside venues. My granddaughter was able to make a complete portfolio "look-book". Beautiful!! I don't know how Dawn does it. Amazing. The reason my granddaughter chose Rise Talent is that her focus is runway modeling, acting, commercial print and stunts. At Rise Talent she can take all of these classes very frequently. There are many other types of classes available, she can participate in as many she wants every day, all month long, for one all-inclusive, very reasonable price. This agency has been called a "money grab" or a business that just "wants your money", but the owner and coaches at this establishment TRULY care about the kids they coach & teach. We have had A LOT of success from Dawn's company and she has proved to us that she does mean business, will support your child, & does have their best interests at heart. If you have ever thought I think my kid could be on tv or a target ad and just want to see what it's like reach out. She has TONS of knowledge and is a straight shooter. If she feels like your kid has a spark she'll let you know and if they don't she'll let you know why and lead you in the direction to perfect the areas that are lacking. I appreciate that kind of honesty it's the kind that shows you money isn't the only thing she's after. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this talent agency. I signed my children up and paid over $300 with the understanding that they would actively work with us and submit them for opportunities. They took professional photos of my kids, but after that, there was absolutely no follow-up. I never received any communication, updates, or proof that they submitted my children to any agencies or casting opportunities. After not hearing anything for a long time, I reached out to ask for an update. Suddenly, I was told that one of my children had been "chosen" for an Old Navy commercial. I expressed that I was very interested in moving forward and asked for details. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never received any follow-up. I repeatedly sent messages asking for the status and was ignored. What's most concerning is that while we were there, there were at least four other families paying for the same service at the same time. It makes you wonder how many families are paying significant amounts of money without receiving any real communication or results. This was our experience, and it left us feeling frustrated and misled. I strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions, request clear documentation of submissions, and get everything in writing before paying. I hope others have a better experience than we did, but unfortunately, ours was very disappointing. read more

WARNING!!!! I want this review to be as specific as can be. I want you to listen to what I'm about to say. Every good comment on here has been asked for by Dawn. These are parent of kids who have been with her and die hard fans. Some work FOR HER! She was in class recently screaming about please post a review. The negative comments are REAL. If you go on Reddit you'll see a review under Torres who is her model teacher that said he was getting scammed. After a dispute he retracted it by posting from another account to make it look like they used his name. THERES A REVIEW ON HERE THAT STATES DAWN CHARGED HER 300 something TO DO PICTURES. WE WERE CHARGED A DIFFERENT AMOUNT. So was another family we spoke to. She also uses 16 year old from her class to do these professional makeup and she takes pictures that are terrible! None of which can be used! She charges what she can get away with! She will also ask you to take classes and claim it's not mandatory. My son and daughter were in class when I heard her scream if you're not taking classes I won't put you in anything. I'm posting a picture of group message chat where she has said she will not get you work if you don't take classes. She also has another scam where she claims you will go to IMTA and will charge WHATEVER she can get away with. We had one family that was paying almost 10,000 and another less than 5,000. They both had ONE kid each same category! Than while taking her class and paying monthly she will also tell you that you need to do privates which are $100 a class. In that class you will be given information that you should be getting for IMTA. You just paid to get that info! She will also tell you that there are bad reviews that call her a scammer. That's because she is. I found out that there is no office for Rise Talent in New York, so that is another red flag. We read reviews and questions on Reddit only to find out that she had at least three other talent agencies in the past, Press Talent, Tru Talent and something called Skyne Talent that I couldn't find much info on. The yelp reviews for Press talent were appalling. Every review of previous talent agencies stated that people had been scammed. Some stated that they were recruited in Walmart and lured to her offices just to find out they were being scammed. She has pictures with celerities because she's like a groupie waiting to take them to make herself look legit. She has someone named Texas battle work with her to make herself look legit. His done some small roles not sure if he knows she's scamming people I won't speak on that. read more

I debated writing this review, but I feel the reviews on here are a bit misleading so I wanted to share my experience. I took my daughter to an open casting from an ad I saw on instagram. We met with Dawn Sullivan and she said she saw so much potential in my daughter and could get her working right away but that we needed to invest $375 in pictures that were to be done at the studio by her photographer. Felt like a red flag because from the research I've done most talent agencies should never ask for fees upfront, but I went ahead paid the $375 and scheduled a photoshoot for the following Friday. We showed up Friday morning to locked doors and no one in the office. I texted Dawn letting her know that we were there, she responded about 20 min after our scheduled time to say that "they were on set" and to wait there and the photographer would be there shortly. I agreed. She then texted back saying that the photographer wouldn't be available for a couple hours and could I come back. I responded that that would not work for me and I would just like my money back. She then proceeded to ask several times if I was going to do the shoot and I kept replying I would just like a refund and that this behavior was pretty unprofessional. She told me she had a number of jobs she was looking into for my daughter and that photography could be there in 30 minutes, I declined and said I would just like a refund. She asked me how much I paid (which seemed strange and made me feel like she's just charging whatever she thinks she can) and the payment method. She later had me come back to the office several hours later and I did receive the refund of the full amount. While I am thankful I got my money back, this experience was stressful and not what I signed up for at all. She told me "sometimes in this business people run behind" which I understand, but she made the call time and if she was running late she could have easily texted to let me know and set up another time. Getting a toddler ready and out the door early in the morning is never easy and my time was not valued or important when I was paying for a service. I wasn't expecting my daughter to become an overnight celebrity, but I thought this would be a fun experience for her and it definitely fell very short of that. I write this review in hopes of warning other parents of the unprofessionalism that they may encounter dealing with this business. I should've believed the Reddit threads online. I want to add since writing this review I have been messaged by multiple with the same experiences telling me she pays or coerces people at her studio to write the positive reviews. If we could give ZERO stars we would. We are writing this review in hopes of saving the next supportive parent over $3000.00 and also the heart of a young teen. Please, please, please follow your first mind! This is 1000% a SCAM. Long story short, our teen auditioned, everyone "loved" them. The modeling coach, the "owner, coach & photographer" Dawn Sullivan convinced our teen to sign up for classes & what was SUPPOSED to be a professional modeling "lookbook" session & IMTA modeling convention! In addition, our teen worked a job after school to save up their hard-earned money. Our teen was taken advantage of by the owner, Dawn Sullivan, who did not fulfill her contract of providing a professional modeling lookbook and professional modeling pose/catwalk training. Dawn Sullivan got mad because we would not allow our teen to be used to make Rise Talent Agency appear to look" legit" by potential customers. Our family has morals & does not condone fake advertisements at our expense. The owner, Dawn Sullivan, promised our teen their money back. Once, we were made light of the severity by our teen of what was actually going on (our teen crying and overall dreams being crushed). We proud ourselves of continuing to support our teen by trying to get their money back, but it was too late. The bank could not retrieve the funds back via fraud transaction reports due to the manner of the transaction being CashApp. Rise Talent modeling classes and overall experience were a nightmare and the owner, Dawn, is a liar, manipulator, and will steal your teen's dreams just to replace them with mediocre model coaching & inexperienced lookbook photos. When we reached out to the owner countless times requesting our money back for no service rendered. We were completely gaslit for over 4 months. We have back and forth email receipts and financial receipts to back this up. Still, to this day, we have not received an apology nor our money back. In closing, PARENTS DON'T DO IT. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to Models.com, get you a mother agency. We will see Rise Talent in small claims court really soon unless Karma gets to this agency first! read more
