I always felt completely safe dropping her off each morning and never had to worry about her throughout the day. One thing I especially appreciated was that the entire school is nut-free. My daughter has a peanut allergy, so knowing that the school took this seriously gave me so much peace of mind. There was even one occasion when a parent brought peanut butter cupcakes for a birthday celebration, and I'm guessing they weren't aware of the nut-free policy. Her teacher immediately made sure the cupcakes were not opened or consumed by any of the students and returned them to the parent. I was so grateful that she was so attentive and proactive about my daughter's safety. Over the three years, we had the pleasure of having Ms. Ericka, Ms. Esperanza, Ms. Yoshimy, and Ms. Ariana as teachers, and I can honestly say that every one of them was wonderful, caring, and skilled. We also loved seeing Ms Elena, Ms Kristen, and Mr Rob every day as they I really felt they cared about each and every one of the kiddos there. Our most recent teacher, Ms. Yoshimy, did an especially amazing job preparing my daughter for kindergarten. By the time she graduated, she could confidently write all of her uppercase and lowercase letters and had even learned how to read! I believe she had made her way through around 20 books. My daughter started kindergarten this month, and she is already ahead in many areas because of what she learned at TLE. She is not even learning some of the things yet that she had already mastered with Ms. Yoshimy! I have recommended TLE to friends and family many times and will continue to do so without hesitation. His teacher held him, comforted him, and patiently stayed with him while he worked through his emotions. She gave him so much reassurance and care. There is a difference between enforcing school policies and personally involving yourself in a conflict based on emotions or assumptions. This became especially concerning in an incident involving a child who was repeatedly being bitten and hit by another student, resulting in bruises and eventually a fear of going to school at all. While I understand there are procedures the school must follow when addressing incidents between students, my concern is with how the director handled the situation beyond those procedures. From what I witnessed, she became personally involved and appeared to let her own emotions and assumptions influence her response rather than remaining neutral. All in all, my takeaway is that if your child ever has an issue involving another family at this school, I would hope that family does not have a close relationship with the director. Based on what I witnessed, I would have serious concerns about whether both sides would be treated equally and without favoritism.

I saw the family in a parking lot, and my daughter was actually afraid of their child. I told her it was okay and encouraged her to go say hi. I introduced myself, and I had my daughter say hi to their child. & Said we should do play dates etc. since there's been a behavioral concern between them and a play date would help etc. & You know this because I specifically told you this when you called me yelling saying I confronted her. Then you said sorry she must have just been embarrassed about it cus she was crying to you. She didn't even say I confronted her, you just assumed and later acknowledged that wasn't the case after I explained what happened, so please don't misrepresent what happened. What also bothered me was what happened during our conversation. You told me that the family's other son was very ill (I won't mention the exact condition you told me out of respect for the other family's privacy) and that the mother had been crying to you about the situation. I have empathy for what their family is going through, but then you told me that I should apologize to them when I see them, even though I did not confront them or do anything to them. That was the part that really left me questioning the situation. And frankly, given how close you are with this family, your response makes me question how neutral this situation is actually being handled. I understand that you have a responsibility to remain neutral, but that same standard needs to apply to how my actions are being represented. And our issue was from day 1 I came to you about another child hitting mine. I had prior 2 meetings with you before I spoke with the parent. So please don't misrepresent what happened. It's not even about the incident itself, it's how you painted us as the bad person and tried to cover for the other family making excuses saying "they are great family, he's a boy and boys are wild, he's the youngest" those reasons don't matter. if a child hits bites another child you should believe the parent coming forward and try to help instead of taking other family's side. And it's funny you didn't try to believe me at first because you didn't know I had incident reports and teachers telling me about the hitting incidents at first. Your attitude towards it all was extremely disappointing. You are the reason why we left, not because of the incident itself. -------------------------------------------- Stay away from this preschool. We left this preschool, mainly because the director's rude attitude when we raised concerns after repeated incidents of our child coming home hurt, reporting being hit and bitten. When we brought these issues up, DIRECTOR seemed to side with the other family who appeared to have a close relationship with them, consistently sided with them and made us feel like maybe our concerns weren't believed making us feel unheard. Those experiences, and the discourteous way our concerns were handled led us to leave.

My kids absolutely love being here and can hardly get them to leave when I pick them up. Communication is always clear and respectful. Mrs. Amanda always gives advance notice of anything that is upcoming on the calendar. I appreciate that so much as a working parent. She is flexible and considerate when it comes to the kids. The education and what is taught is also advanced. For example, my 2 year old knows how to count to 10, knows his ABC's and knows his colors! At 2 years old!! Ms. Tammy is also very helpful with the kiddos. My kids absolutely love their time at Bright Beginnings.
