Long story short, it was a great choice. You'll love it! This is a traditional Italian style restaurant (Italy is about a mile down the coast), with a menu to match. I had a four item pizza - it came with each item in its own quadrant. The crust was hand tossed, had an irregular shape, and was delicious. My wife had Prescutto and melon. The ham was thinly sliced and very tasty, and the melon was very fresh and sweet. Of course we shared. Bottled water (Pelligrino) for me and a Coke for her rounded out the meal.

Eravamo in visita da fuori città, affamati e alla ricerca della cena, non rendendosi conto che hanno una piccola cucina e servono i pasti per la gente che ha prenotazioni anticipate. Invece di rifiutarci,, sono stati in grado di ospitarci e offrire piatti di tacchino impanato e patatine fritte. Era assolutamente delizioso ed esattamente quello di cui avevamo bisogno. Ci hanno controllato spesso, erano molto dolci, e ci hanno anche acceso un fuoco nel camino, dato che era una notte fredda e piovosa. Ci torneremo e incoraggeremo chiunque a provare questo posto!

Be it the special welcome drink in combination with a very warm welcome, the proactive suggestions how to get the most from your stay at Lago Maggiore (e.g. by taking a ride with the hotel's own Thömus bikes) or the spa area. All this goes with a superior service - be in the recently renovated rooms or the restaurant and bar. Definitely, one of the best hotels in Switzerland with a very family-like touch. Though not inexpensive, but more than worth the money. We will for sure return for a longer stay.
