Not sure how many people will check this site for such a small city in France, but needed to spread the joy and love of this restaurant.

Review in English and French…read more This is an incredible little restaurant in Pau. We went there in June 2017 with a friend when visiting (I'm originally from Pau). I hear it's tough to get a reservation for dinner but we were able to reserve for lunch the day of. The menu changes all the time and what we had was absolutely excellent! It's very refined food without the attitude of a very refined restaurant. The staff is approchable and helpful. The wine list is also amazing and people are able to help you choose. We were three and all had appetizer, main course and desert with a bottle of wine. They have a standard menu which offers all three courses or you can pick à la carte if you want something else. The choices are limited, but that's usually a plus in my book when it comes to restaurants (study the Paradox of Choice). Everything we had was complex and excellent and the whole meal ended up costing around 100 euros (including wine). Really not bad for the amount of food you get and the quality of it! Yelp let me down when I was checking in...,their program crashed!…read more This is a fabulous place for lunch. Pau is a sweet town and we walked around before deciding on this place. It was very busy and as we approached the entrance we were greeted with a very sweet and friendly hostess that recognized we were not local. She seated us promptly and gave us an English menu. The staff is fabulous as well....most spoke much better English then my French. We had the Plat du Jour, which was a normal serving of steak, French fries (real and crisp) and a salad. Serving size was perfect! Everything was perfect! Thank you to everyone in this fine establishment. You do a better job then 90% of the American restaurants. Merci. :)

It is everything you expect from a Kebab shop, but the flavor and seasoning of everything knocks it out of the park. You know you have found a great local shop as an American abroad, when you walk in and the place is absolutely packed every day for lunch, and not a single person speaks English. This was shown to myself and a few of my fellow American friends by some French locals our age. They offer a wide variety of sandwich and kebab options, my personal favorite became the kebab in a wrap, with sauce samurai, and also the sauce pimente. These two were two of the spicier sauces and both complimented each other and the well seasoned meat quite well. The local french usually choose sauce blanc, which is calmer and closer to a dressing. This place is also incredibly affordable! You can get a kebab, small french fry, and a can of soda or bottle of water all for a couple of euro. This set the standard high and even going to other larger cities, could not be topped. Although it is slightly off the beaten path from downtown my friends and I would walk or take the bus here even on break from class, despite the commute just to have the best kebab in town. I highly recommend to anyone passing through, especially if you have never had a kebab before! The only drawback from making it 5 star, is that quite often they would close early, and it made it difficult to get some food there late at night. It would be absolutely amazing if they stayed open past 8 or 9 and maybe even until 10 and were able to hit some of the late night crowd. Either way, definitely my favorite kebab shop in Pau, and arguably in France as well.
