The food is of high-quality, the service is excellent, and the interior is quaintly comforting. By the layout, you can tell this restaurant was converted from multiple old buildings and rooms that were connected together to form this establishment. In the back, you sit "outside" where there are 4 walls around you, but no roof. It was pleasant to sit back there in the evening with a cool breeze as long as you don't mind the occasional bug flying around (not a bad thing, just adds to the unique ambiance). If you're thinking pizza, I highly recommend ordering their namesake pizza, the Donna Fortunata. This wondrous concoction consists of smoked cheese, tomato cherry, mozzarella cheese, bacon, oil. The edge stuffed with tuma and olive paste. Yes, get this! If you like surprises, maybe get this one: "Fantasia Del Pizzaiolo: ?????????" Everything we had here was delicious and 100% picture-worthy. The mussel dish we ordered was unforgettable. It was a ton of mussels bathing in a flavorful tomato-based broth and a thin bread was baked over the whole thing. Dip the bread in your broth for a good time. The Cuttlefish Ink Pasta was interesting/tasty but wouldn't order it again unless it was pitch black like the picture. So if you're looking for real local flavor in a nice little Sicilian town, Donna Fortunata (Lucky Lady) is a gem you shouldn't miss out on.

Whether you're in the alley, or you're at a table out front, you're set up so that, at some point in the evening, _somebody_ you know is going to swing by. And in between, you get to hang out with your friends, have good pizza (and other stuff), and enjoy the evening! Speaking of other stuff, pretty much everything here is good. And the service, of course, is great (as it usually is in Modica). So yeah, do hang out here!

Service was very friendly and helpful. We both had pasta, me with clams and my wife with salsiccia and funghi. Both very extremely good spiced and the pasta was perfectly cooked. We had the small chocolate cake as desert, which was amazing as well. Prices are more than fair: all together with 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water we ended up with 50€. Today both of us had pizza and what can I say, it was just delicious! Very well prepared with fresh toppings! Again we also had the chocolate tart as desert. We had two wonderful dinners at this place and we can only recommend this place though it is not in the center but maybe that's why it is so good and not too expensive!

This is a family run business...I am starting to think that every business in Sicily is family run. One of the things that I love is the wood burning oven. It is just amazing to stand here and watch the owner Lina make pizza after pizza. There is also a wood burning oven here too and it smells so good...I just love the smell of wood on a fire. The oven is just roaring and it takes like 5 minutes for a fresh pizza to bake in this massive brick oven. I need one of these at home!!! My personal favorite pizza is olives and fresh prosciutto...I could eat that all day long. Plus I love the personal pizza...it is so nice to not have to worry about what other people want. Just get your own pizza and I will see you after I am done cutting mine up. Yeah you have to work hard to eat your pizza in Sicily...you have to cut it up yourself...there are no squares or triangles here...I can cut it into circles if I want...the choice is mine!!! I usually make a mess but it is a delicious mess. Some of the toppings that people get are just surprising to me...for example I saw someone get french fries on there pizza...it was kind of like someone just dumped a side of fries on top of a pizza. This is not for me but it seems like many locals like it. There is also ice cold Peroni Beer and some nice house wines (in a pitcher)...it was hard for me to decide, so I drank both. I had to wash down all of that yummy pizza with something...can you blame me?
