We had also asked for the salt waaaaaay into the beginning of the meal, but she ignored our request blatantly, and seemed hell bent on doing so, which was very unfortunate and puzzling! Then we asked a male server and he brought us the salt and pepper right away. And quickly it was taken away again by the lady to whom we had made our first request. Really?! Why does she hate me so? It was very puzzling but rather blatantly done, as to leave no confusion about how she felt about an Asian person in that restaurant.

The food was presented beautifully and in creative ways. We all really enjoyed the warm bread served on rocks with the bread looking like potatoes and rocks themselves. The white asparagus, which was in season when we dined, was prepared simply with ham and salad but was delicious. The risotto was cooked perfectly al dente, creamy and rich without being too heavy. The lamb was melt in your mouth tender served with potatoes and veg. The 5 course meal was perfect for us, and I thought the portions were good for a tasting menu. The price was reasonable given the quality of food and level of dining experience. They brought little cookies and chocolates as a perfect ending to the meal. Service was very good without being overbearing. They didn't have a printed menu in English so the server kindly translated for us. Overall, we were really happy with the food, decor and service. Highly recommend a visit to Clara for a fabulous dining experience.
