It has some pretty weighty neighbours, Cafe Bleu, and the newly opened Moorings in its midst, but It easily holds it's own. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed, the Italian country theme is carried well throughout the dining room and reception area, where the impressive wine rack is on display. Service is Brilliant some of the best in Newark, The food is Brilliant, plenty of time to enjoy it, you aren't rushed, and as an endorsement we have seen real Italian customers on vacation in the UK using the restaurant. The Location and current re-development of what was a handy car park makes it very difficult to park near the restaurant, and it doesn't stand out from the road which is a shame, but also makes it feel slightly more exclusive. Big tip: in order to avoid being treated rudely upon arriving, make sure you book in advance. Note for parents: no high chairs available, if you're likely to need one.
