As is the case with many of the reviews below I wish I had visited here first to read about these crooks. I usually order from a reputable Canadian website, but all the poinsettias were sold out. I googled flower deliver to Hamilton and this site came up first. They apparently have scammed Google in some way so that while they are in California they show up as local on every search no matter where it is placed. Poinsettias are not expensive and had I been able to visit Metro or even a convenience store such as Rabba or Brunos a big one would have been only $29.99 or so. However, I am in isolation and had to get a delivery company as I could not pick up or deliver the item myself. The large poinsettias were supposedly discounted and "only" $56. There was supposedly free delivery. However, when I checked out there were two additional processing and handling charges - one for $19.99 and a second one for $8.50. I wanted the delivery and reluctantly agreed to pay $85. Imagine my surprise when my credit card was billed $111. I phoned the 800 number but no one answered and no one returned my message. A day or two later I looked at my bank account again and found out where the $111 came from - the $85 had been billed in USD. When I was on the site I saw no indication that the sale was in USD or that this was a US site. The checkout process involved province and postal code. I am pretty adept at recognising US sites and this one had none of the tell tale signs. This site appears to rely on finding first time customers and getting as much out of them as possible. Placed an order for my mother thinking it was local to Ottawa. I was happy with the price and the process was easy. Checked my credit card to make sure everything was in order and the price increased 30$. :o Turns out all prices are USD adn they are not located in Ottawa. There is a tiny disclaimer at the bottom about charge being USD, but no where else in the processes. I am extremely disappointed and will not be using this service again. I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday this week. It was very hard to choose which to send her. From the website I choose Bejewelled Beauty. I wanted the flowers to arrive on my mother's birthday as a surprise on the 24th, as the company has a calendar you can select a date of delivery option. However, the flowers arrived one day early which kind of ruins the surprise if you ask me. The flowers cost about $89 with all fees in. This is expensive yes, now i'm reading comments and think maybe i was charged in USD not in CAD- omg. So look at what they send my mom compared to what i selected from the website. I ordered Ducky Delight, which was a ceramic duck with yellow flowers however what was delivered was an ugly yellow box with a cheap feathered duck(? - it actually looks like a chick). Nothing like what I ordered. Then there was the issue with the cost being in USD (found that out after seeing the charge to my credit card). I found a small notation on their contact page stating all prices are in USD after searching for it. This should be stated on the checkout page. The order was also supposed to be free shipping however there was a service fee added - so not really free after all. Don't use, RITA's Florist, Waterloo, Ontario or ANYWHERE as they are a swindling outfit based in the United States, charge ridiculous fees for delivery and Bill in US funds!
