Everything is perfect dinner and they got the greatest donuts in town. they got the greatest cookies in town. Greatest brownies in town. Oh yeah popcorn too. Every Wesco to this one is the best with the popcorn. I'm not giving it any lower then 2 stars because it's close by where I live and for others to. But the cooler don't feel cold where all the drinks sit. Bathrooms need to be clean a little better. When you walk in there you can smell the oil and gas. I get it's a gas station but any other ones you can't smell that. I have been going to this Speedway for years. But they need to fix or keep the slushy and fountain machine working all the time instead of broken a lot. And have the hot rollers go longer pass 5pm other then that great place. The place facility was clean. Well lit smelled great. The layout of the displays were aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I was greeted with a smile and welcomed right as I entered. The bathroom was clean tidy. The soap, toilet paper and hand paper towels filled. I really enjoyed the alcohol selection of both beer and wine. What I was most shocked about was judging them from the parking lot. So happy I went in and am writing this review. If you get a chance to stop for gas, snack and alcohol please do.

So on our way back, in this pandemic, I needed an out of the way gas station and found it at M55 on the West end of Cadillac: Thirsty's! I rushed in the door doing the pee per dance but I was overwhelmed by the smell of ice cream and waffle cones. I asked where the commode was and what ice cream they carried (Ashby's, Hudsonville?) and the man answered "Homemade!" I'm like homemade? After relieving myself in the clean bathroom, I sauntered toward the parlor area and WOW! So many flavors.....basics like chocolate and vanilla bean, butter pecan, but some interesting ones like Kat Nip, which is a malt flavored ice cream with bits of Kit Kat bars in it, Creme Brûlée which is my absolute favorite, and much more! The waffle cones are their own recipe and they curl up the ends so the cone won't dribble too early. The service was EPIC, the social distancing and mask wearing was spot on and I truly feel like this experience is what has been missing from my life for the past 56 years. I'm sold and will make the effort to drive the extra couple of miles here from downtown Cadillac when I go shopping. Can't recommend this enough! I've seen her over work the loyal employees. She chills in a office chair all Day, takes vacation constantly, likes to bash customers behind their back. But I was friends with workers there and she HATED that to the point I was nitpicked over small things. Told I couldn't stay longer than 5 minutes, if I wanted to play lotto I had to take my slips to my car to fill them out. But I'd watch people she liked hang in the store or individuals literally CAUGHT stealing and allowed back. And one day was cornered with my back turned and told consider myself banned if she ever heard me hearsay of me saying I didn't like her privately. It made me feel like I'm living in North Korea and voicing frustration with the Dictator. I spent money that day and left, your later my friend tells me I'm banned. She literally sent her a text on her day off to tell me that instead of saying it when I was in the store and still allowed to spend 38 bucks on fuel while there. I've never heard of a Manager to a Corporate Business banning people because they simply dislike her. And it's a easy fix honestly.... 3 steps Don't play favorites or double standards. Be nice to people especially when they greet you each time. And just don't care what people think. It's America!! If you disagree with a president they don't boot you from the country, they just do their best to win you over in the future or simply let your opinion not matter. But she treats the shell like her private company and can't keep employees very long when they get trashed constantly.

I was staying at The Hampton Inn in Cadillac - and they don't have an in-hotel pantry where they sell toiletries and stuff - which is odd. Anyhow, I got dressed and drove down to the Admiral Petroleum Station - the first place I was that was open. I bought a four pack of Extra-Strength Tylenol and I was on my way! Thank goodness! It did the trick! Of course they sell a wide range of convenience store goods here: bottled water, soda, coffee, tea, snacks, and of course - gas.

This is what just happened at the South end Admiral Gas Station in Cadillac. I tried to use my…read moredebit card to pay at the pump and it told me "please see attendant". So I go inside and ask if they are having issues with their pump. The lady says "no, why?". I explain. She then gets an attitude while explaining to me that I must have at least $75 on my card (which I do) because Admiral takes $75 off your card when you pay at the pump and then they return your change the following day. That makes no sense to me. How can they take money from people without any warning on the pumps or anything? I walked out and got gas at Shell for $0.02 more but saved myself $35 for a day. I just thought people would want to know they're getting robbed part time. I don't know about you but my family is done using Admiral Yes we could have prepaid and yes we would have had we not known but now that we do know, we will not condone it.
