My family and I are big fans of Thrifty's ice cream. My parents loved it as kids, I loved it as a kid, and my kids love it. It's always a big treat when we visit McCall and can visit Rite Aid's Thrifty's ice cream counter. Yesterday afternoon we stopped by and my children went inside with Grandpa, absolutely thrilled. It was such a damper on the excitement when they returned to the car discussing how the male employee serving the ice cream had such a terrible attitude and made them highly uncomfortable. I do understand there doesn't seem to be someone exclusively assigned to the ice cream counter, and employees likely are pulled away from other duties to serve at the counter. I could see how that could be frustrating but please don't take that out on customers. read more

I love this rite-aid! They have so many more products than the store by me at home. And it's very clean and organized. Lola was a wonderful employee--friendly and efficient. She made sure we got the best deals ($75 worth of savings!). read more

Used to love this Rite Aid but I really hate the remodel! They took away so many items that the locals relied upon. All the dedicated employees quit, that speaks volumes by itself. I won't even attempt to fill my prescription there even though my local pharmacy burnt down. I'll stick with Savon. read more

I am so thoroughly disappointed in rite aid, I have lived in McCall for 8 years and always loyally filled my prescriptions here. I've been patient I've been kind I've understood that there are shortages of employees and that this isn't the employees fault. But I'm tired I'm tired of never ever ever having a prescription filled on time. I'm tired of suffering side effects of going without my medication because they refuse to fill until a certain date even though my doctor approves the fill. The last visit they were supposed to fill on 9/1. they told me they wouldn't fill until 9/6 I then waited and waited until the 6th in which I show up and they tell me no not till the 9th. After they finally fill it. I read through the phamplet and it specifically says they can fill on 9/6 so why are they telling me not till the 9th?? I would understand if you ran out of ice cream ?? Maybe ? But people's well being depends on the service you provide rite aid and your service is unacceptable. bottom line, your store sucks after your latest remodel you took everything we locals need and rely upon in our small resort town, and then you tripled the prices. your pharmacist are overworked and simply no longer care about the service they provide and it's unfortunate. My better half has the rewards system here down pat. We're never out of deodorant, mouthwash, toothpaste or soap. On the other hand, if you are in need of deodorant, mouthwash, toothpaste or soap, come see me. We're running out of room under the sink. This is a very nice store in McCall. HOWEVER, they have self-serve THRIFTY frozen yogurt!!! I grew up around Thrifty drug stores, which became Payless, then Rite-Aid. The Thrifty ice cream was the best. I got excited to see the Thrifty logo in this store but was a little disappointed to find out it was only frozen yogurt. The frozen yogurt is pretty good, though. Or maybe it's terrible and nostalgia is messing with my taste buds. Who knows. Either way, we always get some when we come in. Small selection of fruit and candy to top it off if you want and a coffee bar, too. Three stars because.....it's a Rite-Aid. Plus one star for the Thrifty frozen yogurt. Bring back the ice cream and I'll give you five. read more

We have been trying for days to get thru to the pharmacy- if no one answers the phone (which they don't) it loops back around to the beginning of the message. There is no way to leave a call back or talk to a real person! One of our major drug stores, where sick people tend to fill prescriptions doesn't require staff to wear masks?

I used to like Rite aide . They just continue to get rid of products . I absolutely hate they lay out, the items are so low on floor I had to get in my hands and knees literally just to get a product that was shoved back on shelves. My knees are bad I could hardly get up . Everything's so low hard to see , so far down towards floor. An employee said now you know how we feel . They hardly carry anything anymore and no more yogurt . just not at all the same. I was told it did more sales than any other rite aide. Now I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business . why would they change a good thing anyway. read more

Wait? A pharmacy with Froyo? Yes! What you do in the middle of a blizzard in McCall when Icecream Alley is closed? you go to Rite-Aid, sit inside and get froyo with all the toppings that you wish. Very convenient! read more
