    Bright & optimistic shopping experience

Re-visit for Higi. Two Rite Aid stores near my home in Palo Alto. This one is pretty good. Very good shopping experience. Convenient. Lots of items to shop. I will shop here more often.

Wow. Previous yelpers are really down on this Rite Aid. They've obviously never been to the CVS in Sequioa station, which may be the worst drug store on the peninsula. Good selection of products; They have everything, and the staff on the floor is helpful. I've never used the pharmacy here. With that said...It is true what others have mentioned: The lines for the cashier can be ridiculous sometimes, but it's a roll of the dice. That's their main weakness.

Hmm, I better get gas before getting on Hwy 101-South to San Jose. I spot this Shell Station w/ a Food Shop, and decide to fill up. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Located at Woodside Rd & Sequoia Ave, in Redwood City, CA. -

You know all those rules about how calories don't count when ______ ?…read morea. you eat food off someone else's plate b. you share dessert c. you're cooking (cookies have calories, cookie dough does not) d. it's a special occasion Well, my personal "calories don't count" is "when you are trying something you've never had before". Suddenly not only do calories not count, but it's also less important whether something has partially hydrogenated fat and/or corn syrup. I can't be the only one that thinks this way, because the U.S. food industry introduces tens of thousands of new products EVERY YEAR, most of which have no staying power at all. They must know how many of us love to try something new and are pandering to that desire. Sometimes I wish I lived in Japan where country size and population density make it easy to produce and distribute smallish runs of limited edition items in a place where gentei items are highly in demand. Since i don't, 7-11 is the next best thing. 7-11, paradoxically open 24 hours, always seems to be so conveniently located and for me and this one is no exception. THE closest store to my house AND they are the most likely place to find limited edition candy bars, Doritos and sodas, and also where I can go ANY TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT to get my Diet Rockstar fix or pick up a can of Starbucks Doubleshot or even get an egg salad sandwich or some emergency catfood. Really when you think about it, this place is like a little japanese style distribution microcosm and if I try hard enough I can find something new here every time and that means... ...the calories from anything I eat at 7-11 don't count!

This is the Chevron Gas Station at the corner of Veterans Blvd & Main Street in Redwood City, CA…read more It has a food mart, a carwash, a fairly spacious lot, and multiple islands (with one pump per island). It has a nice location on Veterans Blvd, just a few blocks from Kaiser Hospital. I was just here last week with my coworker. I got gas, some snacks and used the restroom. Sorry, I can't review the car wash. I'm guessing alot of the poor reviews are from car wash users. I have a tip for you: mechanical car washes that use rollers or brushes will leave swirls, streaks, and fine scratches on your paint. "Touchless car washes usually use harsh chemicals to clean your car, then use high pressure spraying to clean it off. If you're okay with all that, then there's no problem. The price of gas was about average for the SF Bay Area. I had to get mid-grade to offset some cheap gas I pumped the night before. I went inside to use the restroom. WOW! This restroom was super clean. It was like a showroom for bathroom fixtures. The food mart was clean too. It was well stocked with all the snacks, drinks, and candies. BTW, do you know why gas stations sell junk food? Very rarely do you see celery sticks and melon balls. Drivers are usually in a hurry. It's a fact that hungry drivers get tired faster, and you don't want to stop again do you? So it's a good idea to grab a drink and a snack for the road. Maybe something to wake you up. I'm sure you'll find something in this food mart. So, average gas prices, clean restroom, and well stocked food mart! Oh, and friendly service! The lady clerk was very friendly and joked about high prices on the snacks. Located between Jefferson & Main St, on Veterans Blvd.

This is more 7-Eleven energy--with slightly better lighting and a prayer that the chicken's still warm. The chicken? It's... fine. Crispy-ish. Salty. Juicy if you get lucky. Honestly, it's not wowing anybody--but here's the thing: you didn't stop at Circle K expecting a five-star meal. You stopped because it was there, it was fast, and something deep in your soul whispered "fried chicken now." It's kind of like Hooters. Let's be real--nobody went to Hooters for the wings. They were mid at best. But the vibe? Legendary. Boobs, beer, and bravado. Circle K has the same energy--except instead of cleavage and curly fries, you get fluorescent lights, energy drinks, and a hot case full of "sure, why not?"
