Would it be possible to rename this place, "Wrong Aid?" It's a nice sized store, with the Thrifty Ice Cream area, and free parking behind, but it its just depressing inside there. I don't know what they can do to improve the atmosphere--but you don't feel like returning. Maybe have someone with a clown suit on greet you when you come in? or put some uplifting music on? TV's? The Beverly Hills store is so much more inviting. There is no where to sit and eat the ice cream, and they were out of more than 50% of the flavors. They have these mini carts with long poles on them that do not allow you to remove it from the store so you have to carry heavy things to the car and leave the rest unattended. I don't really want to come back here unless it's an emergency. read more

I went in to order Covid tests two days ago. I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. I had to leave and decided to come back two days later when I had time. My order was given away- they didn't hold them for me and failed to tell me that they would't hold tests???? When I asked to order them now, I was told (very smugly) "That's not how it works here." The clerk told me they were out and wouldn't be re-stocked for days. When I asked another question about why was my order given away, she said "Next." I am just happy that this isn't my usual pharmacy- horrible service, horrible organization. I will never go back there again. read more

The people behind the counter were rude and unprofessional. I spent half an hour filling out the online pre-registration for a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. When I arrived on time for my appointment, I was told (ordered!) to sit in the waiting area. After doing so for 20 minutes, the pharmacy manager informed me that they were out of Pfizer and did I mind mixing with Moderna? Since all my previous shots had been Pfizer and I did didn't know the consequences of mixing vaccines, I walked out, having wasted the better part of my morning. read more

I got both of my Covid Moderna Shots at this Rite Aid (1331 Wilshire Santa Monica). It's one of the best RiteAid pharmacies I've been to. The facility is immaculate and looks brand new. Parking is so easy. The staff is very courteous. Pouya Ferhid,who manages the Pharmacy, gave me both injections. He was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was on time with both of my appointments. If I'm ever heading to a Rite Aid it will be this one! I've been using this pharmacy for over six years now and Pouya Fakheri and his team are so awesome! Every time I go in, I'm treated like family. They remember my name and often have my prescriptions ready and waiting before I've even gotten to the counter. I just experienced the most demeaning and outrageous behavior from a pharmacist at your store by the name of Pouya. I have taken notice that a review was just written THIS EVENING few hours ago that pretty much mirrored my experience and another individual sharing that she too was threatened to have the police called on her and treated with the same indecency. !Being treated the way I was just treated was that much worse coming from someone who's career is in healthcare, who is working within a forum that a customer is supposed to be met with the utmost care, compassion and professionalism, Instead I was met with quite the opposite, I was not made to feel threatened I WAS threatened and I was threatened to have the police called on me for the simple request of asking for my medication to be counted in my presence. I made this request due to be shorted previously at a different pharmacy. !I was so angered that I lashed out and called the pharmacist a profanity, but that is exactly how he was acting, my remark came out of the truth of the matter and the shock in being treated the way I was just treated. !I was scolded like a child and asked to leave the store without my prescription which is nothing less than this pharmacist knowingly posing a very serious endangerment to my heath, as with many medications the one I am prescribed cannot not be stopped suddenly and he is not ignorant to the fact there is a state wide shortage of the medication. !It would break my heart to see someone in the geriatric community or anyone else for that matter treated the way I was treated this evening. I will not stop here. I plan on contacting Rite Aid's corporate office about this matter. This business cannot be trusted to honor their word. I called yesterday to fill a prescription. Their automated system responded positively stating that I could pick up my refill on the next business day (today) after10:30 am. I arrived at the Wilshire store at 11:30am today and was told my refill was not ready and would not be available until after 3 pm. No reason for the delay was given and no immediate corrective action was offered. Poor customer service from Rite Aide. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to!!!! There is NOTHING this pharmacy location can say that will change my mind regarding their horrible service! I would give them negative 10 stars, if I could. Every time I call, the phone rings and rings. I am never able to get through to a person. It doesn't matter what day you call, or time. Today, I tried to get someone to answer the phone 6 separate times between 12 and 5:30 PM. Other than someone answering the phone and immediately putting me on hold for 20 minutes, without first inquiring why I was calling (I gave up and ended the call), I did not get through. This is completely unacceptable!!! Additionally, the pharmacy never follows up when they state that a prescription is not in stock. You have to drive to the pharmacy, wait in a long line, just to find out the status of your prescription. Often times, it's still not ready after being called in by the doctor several days before. And, there is one tall male employee with dark hair (presumably the pharmacy manager) who is often very curt and rude to customers, many of whom are elderly. I plan to transfer all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy and file a complaint with Rite Aid's Corporate Headquarters in Pennsylvania. read more

I've never been so demeaned by a service worker, simply when asking for help. This guy has some serious issues, and is probably a danger to have working there. This is the most efficient, on-top-of-it pharmacy I've ever dealt with. There was an issue where my antibiotic wasn't covered by my insurance and they helped me navigate it, demonstrating extraordinary customer service. In particular, I was so impressed with Pouya Fakheri's customer service, his knowledge and ability to quickly problem solve. The store was pretty clean tonight and well organized and stocked. I like their ice cream! I just got a gallon for $5. A couple of weeks ago, it was 2 for the price of one! The only drawback is that sometimes I see suspicious looking people by the door near the trash area. read more

Hands the down the worst pharmacy experience ever. I understand that sometimes businesses can get busy, but on a slow day like today, this was inexcusable. The lack of respect for their patients time is fully acknowledged the moment I walked into the pharmacy area. There were 3 staff members working, nobody in line, I was forced to wait for a 5 minutes before they acknowledged my presence. When you finally do get their attention, I was told the prescription has not been filled even though the doctor sent it over a few days earlier. I was quoted 10 minutes which turned into 35. Again it was a slow day with only 2 other people coming through during my wait. Finally, I had to remind them that I was still waiting and the pharmacist pulled the prescription from the stack of already filled prescriptions. They knew I was waiting and they didn't care. Clearly it was my responsibility to remind them to do their job. I regret my decision to come to rite aid even though it's closer than my regular pharmacy. I know better now and I will take my business to elsewhere. read more

I see several questionable reviews praising a pharmacist named Pouya. These reviews must be coming from friends and family, or some other source. I doubt that I am the only customer to have a different experience with Pouya. I know I'm not, because my husband has had a couple of stressful experiences with him as well. Pouya's behavior is often times arrogant, angry, and unhelpful. He can ruin your day, when all you are trying to do is get a simple vaccination or pick up a simple prescription. He plays doctor by refusing to honor a prescription written by your actual doctor. He is a major control freak and he will make your life difficult just to hold power over you. He should not be interfacing with the public under any circumstances. I had to say something because some of these reviews are obviously fake. read more

Not sure why the low rating ... I just had a nice experience in here. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I needed a forehead care touch thermometer and they keep them behind the counter. The doors are boarded so it looks a little sketchy from the outside but inside is really nice, organized, clean, quiet, and peaceful. I'll be returning for sure. read more

Trying to get anyone to answer the telephone is very difficult. The staff at this Rite Aid are all nice people but I am guessing that when Von's on Lincoln and Broadway transferred all their pharmacy clients to Rite Aid, the flood of clients was too much for this place. What seems to be the answer to all of this is: put in a better phone system, hire pharmacy assistants, and, how about paying the staff a bit more because of the heavier work load? read more

They NEVER pick up the phone. I have stood in line while dialing them and it doesn't even ring so clearly they have turned off the ringer. It annoys the me the most when I see elderly people have to go down there and wait in line when they just have a simple question that could have been helped over the phone. Service is terrible. Wow, got my first Covid vaccination here and I was very surprised at the incredibly professional, warm service from Pouya Fakheri and staff. Pouya especially did a fantastic job of communicating with us about leftover vaccines at the end of the day, following strict guidelines for who is eligible, which is as it should be. I had a prescription that CVS and Walgreens could not fill and this pharmacy was the only one that had it. It was a few minutes to closing time and the pharmacist Pouya Fakheri went above and beyond to get it transferred so I could have it the same night! It was extra complicated because another pharmacy was already transferring it and lost it. He had to make at least 5 phone calls. I am super grateful. This Rite Aid is alittle smaller than others I have entered. The cashier's seem to always be in a rush for some reason even when there isn't a line. I guess that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I can usually find what I'm looking g for in there. The makeup is limited so when I came in looking for the cover girl foundation it was no where to be found. I came in for M size swim diapers for my son's swim class. I looked for them for a while before I decided to ask a cashier for help ( I should have done that from the beginning). Well they ended up being with the regular diapers just way hidden on the bottom. They were also way over priced but I guess we can blame that on the fact that it isn't swimming season. I grabbed them and paid. I was in and out in no time. Also parking is easy and there is plenty. There is a water machine outside and we fill out bottles there. read more
