Very disappointed in the on line vaccine scheduling. I made appointments for Covid 19 booster shots for my husband and I and RiteAid said if they didn't send an email to me then no booster shot. This Review is for the Pharmacy. Terrible experience and getting your prescriptions filled are like pulling teeth. I switched to my Husbands insurance and didn't have a problem filling my prescriptions last month. My husband went in for me today and they told him they didn't have insurance on file but he can pay full price. He comes back with the insurance information and now they have to call the doctor for "Age Verification" before it can be released. He comes back a third time and the lady told him "Well you didn't tell me you wanted to Authorize it." I've been on the same medications for over a year and a half. It should not be this difficult to fill prescriptions. I finally got one out of two prescriptions I needed. I wouldn't have gotten anything if my husband didn't put up a fight. Probably the worst pharmacy experience, not just once, not even twice, but almost always. And I live out here, so that's saying something in terms of how often we have to use this place. I was actually denied my medication by the pharmacist because he didn't agree with the medications together, even though they were written by THE SAME DOCTOR, the same day. I understand some medications can be harmful when taken with certain others and getting medications from different doctors makes this a real issue, but this wasn't the case. He thought it was overkill. He is not a doctor and needs to stop acting like one. Thankfully, my doctor called and told him I needed them, and wasn't very nice about it (probably didn't like being questioned by a pharmacist lol) but guess what that did? Made them magically "run out" of the medications I was just being counseled on (he had both of them in his hand before the phone call!) I had a similar experience a few months back. One of the pharmacist assistants was being extremely rude, so I gave her the same respect. About 5 minutes after our little verbal "dust-up" she flung open the side door and rudely scoffed "we don't have your medications" and slammed the door. Myself and two other customers who were waiting started laughing in disbelief and then we all heard the assistant call out "bitch" from back behind the counter. Sadly, the pharmacy isn't my only issue. Now the store itself has taken a hard hit when it comes to stock. I'm not sure if it's bad ordering, or bad drivers/workers, but items just aren't on the shelves. The feminine hygiene area is almost always empty. As were most of the diapers (baby's lol). Toilet paper and paper towels were hardly stocked as well, and I understood during the Pandemic, but it's 2023... No excuses now. A couple of the front store staff are wonderful. Over-worked, but helpful. But most of the workers simply don't care. We stood in a line of about 12 people with one girl working two registers while calling for someone to come help; a younger male casually strolled up, *on his phone texting*, and took his time opening a third line. He checked out 1 to her 4, because he was still texting while we waited. The group of people I was in line with were baffled. When I was working retail, man, I would have gotten chewed out by my boss! But where was his? Food for thought (especially after reading all the reviews, which are almost all 1 star); Start fresh at this store. Managemant included. This store is a disgrace to the Rite Aid brand, with the exception of the 1-3 good employees. this store rates a 0 on many locals lists. Bad training breeds bad workers, so it needs to be ripped out - root and stem. There are so many people looking for work right now, and much of them would probably work better and harder than what's been displayed at this location. If I could leave no star or even minus star I would. My daughter has a nasty case of pneumonia and her doctor called over her prescription to the pharmacy at Rite Aid on Monday. I came on Monday and they closed early, came on Tuesday and it wasn't ready they said I would have to come back. Came in today, Wednesday at 3:00 pm and it's STILL NOT READY!! When I asked the girl when it would be ready the girl said she had no idea because the pharmacist had 2 vaccines to do first. Ummmm I'm not picking up some random medicine it's for PNEUMONIA!! This particular Rite Aid pharmacy has horrible staffing. Their hours are horrible compared to other local Rite aids, closed on the weekends, during the week they close at 6:00 pm. After they totally disrespected my mother, treating her as though she was a huge inconvenience for asking if her prescription was ready. I ended up calling back an hour later for my mom, only to be treated the same. There was a mix up that was completely their fault, it could of been totally avoided if they would have taken a moment to do their job. Worst pharmacy ever and getting worse every single day I have had the same prescriptions for 6 months sent to this pharmacy... my prescription was due tomorrow since they are closed I asked them 1 week ago to fill it today they said not a problem I showed up ro get my prescription was told to sit and wait and it would be filled an hour goes by and I'm get back in line to ask what's going on and then they decide to tell me they no longer have enough to fill my prescription and that I have to wait til Monday... Rite Aid pharmacy hours are 9:00 am to 9:00 pm it is stated on their website. Lately the very rude employees there close whenever they feel like it. A couple days ago..i couldn't get my prescription because they decided to close for lunch from 2:00-3:00. Tonight I get a text at 6:46 that my prescription is ready..send my husband in to grab it and when he gets to the window the woman tells him they are closed..the pharmacist is gone..this is at 7:00pm. I have never felt so sorry for a staff in my life. This is the most overworked Pharmacy I have ever seen. It is constantly busy and I usually only see one or two people. I find it amazing that the corporate office would let this Pharmacy be so short-staffed ALL the time. The people that work there or very professional and helpful.They do their best, but for God's sakes give them some help. I managed a restaurant for 20 years and I know when you run short staffed all you run people off. I take care of my elderly father and my husband and fill over 20 perscriptions and month there, so I know it's not just a fluke that they are always shorthanded. read more

Every phone interaction with them has been awful- worst customer service. A couple months ago I had a prescription for my son and I called trying to see if it was ready. I pressed the extension to talk to someone in the pharmacy, when someone finally picked up the rudely said "are you with a draw office?", I said no and the put me on hold... for 15 minutes. Someone picked up, asked me the same question, and when I said I wasn't with a dr and that I pressed the correct extension, they rudely said they were busy and put me back on hold, for another 10 minutes before the hung up on me. I finally had to just go in and check to see if they got our prescription. I had another prescription today that my dr said they sent in- I gave it a couple hours and then called to see if they got it and if it was ready. She said the pharmacist needed to check the phone line and to give her a minute. 25 minutes later she gets on and says they are busy and haven't had time to check their messages-and asked that I give her my number for her to call me when they do. I gave them 4 hours and never got a call. I then called again. By this time it was after the doctors office had closed, and she told me my prescription wasn't on the phone line and that if they faxed it they didn't get it because their fax has been broken. They couldn't have said that earlier? I could've checked with my dr before they closed. So incredibly frustrated. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. I moved to Shasta Lake about a year ago and have had my prescription filled at the Rite Aid ever since. Out of all of those refills they've only had it ready on time once. Normally it takes 5 or 6 days after I call the refill in and usually two or more trips to the pharmacy counter. The usual excuse is "sorry we ran out of pills" come back tomorrow. The service is horrible. I once waited in the waiting room for over an hour and have been on hold for 45 minutes before I gave up. I thought this pharmacy would be most convenient for me but I've been proven wrong. I'm not the only one with this option, just check out this location's reviews and you can tell something is horribly wrong. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for well over three years. I am finally fed up to the point where I will be switching. Today, I went in for my prescription which I called in hours earlier. The automated system told me my prescription would be ready by 4 pm. I showed up at 4:15 pm and was told I needed to come back in 30 more minutes. I showed back up at 5 pm and again was told I needed to wait an additional 30 minutes. I sent my husband back at 6 pm and he was told to please come back in 30 minutes. I have used rite aid for my prescription for several years . ...I moved here last year...this rite aid is by no means as nice or as friendly as the two other rite aids I've used over the years. Still get my meds there but I only use the drive thru...for the most part I've had no real problems getting my meds BUT they still haven't gotten my new phone number right for my notification that my meds are ready to pick up...why is that so hard to accomplish? The location is convenient and the main store employees are nice, but we stopped using the pharmacy completely. Several times our prescriptions have been lost or delayed for hours and the pharmacy employees are downright rude. This has got to be the worst pharmacy that I have ever been too. Unfortunately we live here and the location is easy for us. Right now I have been on hold for 14 min waiting for someone to pick up the phone. Things that I have encountered at this store. Sorry we have not received your RX from your Dr. Your RX is first in line but the Pharmacist has gone to lunch. Two hours later with the Pharmacist back- Oh sorry it's not ready but it is the first in line???? We have one ready but the we had to order the other medication. Sorry we don't have your insurance information. The list could go on and on. The people are rude. Don't acknowledge that you are standing there waiting. I really don't know how they stay in business. I guess because it's the only one here in Shasta Lake. Can't imagine the complaints the corporate office receives on a daily basis. Oh and while writing this it has been 25 min. on hold.
