This hotel is located so conveniently close to SFO and very reasonably priced, so we decided to try. Our room was completely updated with new everything and very clean. The Ritz inn is the cleanest most updated motel room I stayed in around south San Francisco. The Staff are awesome the bedding is clean and fresh smelling. The room is modern and updated bathroom. The parking is included in your stay . I highly recommend this place. read more

I feel divided. There are many things that could have been better. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, no Kleenex, and no clock radio. There was no way to open the drapes without losing privacy (no sheers). There was no extra blanket available in the room. The deadbolt on the front door didn't work. No continental breakfast. Still, the price was good. And as they say, you get what you pay for. Most of these things could be easily remedied and I hope they will be. read more

For check-in on Thursday I called on Sunday to ask for a room that did not require stairs to access. I have arthritis and stairs are difficult. Stairs with luggage in tow would be painful. I wad told there were no first floor rooms available for the two nights I was staying, there is no elevator, this is a small 23-unit motel, and I could cancel my reservation since it was farther out than 48 hours. A deal at $49 bucks per night. For those who are used to 5 star hotels, this place is probably not for you. It's by the airport so sometimes jets can be heard overhead. I thought I'd take a chance since I have seen bad reviews on other sites. As I arrived I see a homeless man with his shopping cart under the carport. I am then greeted by a nice Indian man behind the counter. He gives me a (almost broken) key card, that worked fine. Then I open the door of my room to find a clean bed and bathroom. Cable, microwave oven, fridge. Plenty of places to eat and a liquor store near by. My only complaint was that the roll of toilet paper was on the low side (was able to get a new roll at the counter). read more

Don't be fool by the price. We planned to stay one week here, but left within 1 night. We found cockroaches inside the bathroom and table area. We demanded a new room, but the customer service ain't too friendly. It is very hard to understand the guy working there at the time. They refuse our demand claiming all rooms are full nor seem to come over to check out the problem in our room. The bed sheets weren't clean either. I can smell cigarette smoke in the bedding area making a non smoker with kids unhappy. TV did not have cable channels as promised. Only a few local stations with no kids programming. Ice maker was also broken and very bad WI-FI like dial up modem Next day, we are out of here heading to a much better hotel adding better customer service than this place. read more

AVOID THIS HOTEL. Pros: prıce ıs cheap and thats the only thıng... Manager wanna be guy didnt even bother to fınd a place for me and when ı complained they saıd they have another hotel that i should go there. This is the most minimalist experience I've ever had at a motel. They have a sign that says "Microwave, Fridge, Color TV, Internet" and they have all these but literally no other amenities. Its almost an art form. The towels are tiny and thin, the bar of soap is miniscule, there's a water restrictor on the shower head which gives you a fine mist for a shower. Each bed has two flimsy pillows and a barely-there blanket. There's peeling paint in the bathroom and it looks like it previously had a shower door replaced by a curtain, but with all the old hardware still there. It feels a bit like a prison cell, with the only window up high behind the bed. Its on a very busy road so you hear trucks all night. Beside that, I got a good night's sleep. Not a place to hang out- but fine for somewhere to put your head on a pillow and leave first thing in the morning. Very convenient to airport. read more

seemed decent at first but as i spent more time it made sense to me why it was at the cost. it has basics for survival but by no means a comfortable experience. my allergies were at peak levels for whatever reasons you can imagine. The bed was stiff and didnt get much sleep. "free wifi" = had NO connectivity 80% of the time i only stayed there due to an appointment but cant imagine staying there for a vacation or nothing. paid $65 for 1 night but i think could have spent 20 more bucks to get a much better place read more

I walked in to the office to find the manager, a pot-bellied Indian man, looking like he has'nt bathed in days, spitting his betelnut juice right where he was sitting. Gosh, what an invitation. Cant get more third world than this. He had a special running for $60 a night and he was ready in a flash to get us checked in, in what seemed a sleazy move to have me pay asap, not the well-intended snappy service. I didnt pay since I had to go the ATM to get the extra 100 bucks deposit and when I returned to the office there was a verbal duel between the manager and a client who complained about bed bugs and smelly rooms. They both could be heard outside the office. This motel manager is in the wrong profession. Even a soup nazi would pale in comparison. He should be a wrestler or an MMA fighter.
