A spacious sunroom provides views of the lawns, garden and the old house (which is the main hotel). The bedroom couldn't be more comfortable, and beyond that, the bath is huge and well-appointed--an enormous shower, a bathtub, even a sauna. Both mornings, the traditional French breakfast was fresh and more than we could eat--come hungry! Served to us in the sunroom, there was a hot dish, fresh yogurt, tarts, croissants and bread, and of course juice, coffee and tea to order. The location is a ten-minute walk into Honfleur itself, and has gated (walled, actually) parking. Bring a small car. It's completely quiet, just birds singing in the trees on the property. In early May we slept with the windows open, no insects. The hosts are gracefully and gracious, easy to communicate with, helpful with recommendations (and tips on restaurants to avoid). It's easy to see why Maison du Parc has won so many accolades, yet the prices are very reasonable. Maison du Parc is a wonderful find if you're visiting Honfleur or need a base for your Normandy excursions!

We were all drenched pretty much to the skin but we were lucky enough find this place- ah the French Sunday lunch, a wonderful thing especially when in the company of my French son-in-law who is a foodie who knows his way around a menu and wine list. Lunch was great. They have a wood fired grill going in the kitchen and a ample selection of meat to go on it. Starters were good, the bread was truly inspiration and, it's Normandy so butter! Add salad, veg, potatoes, mushrooms, cream sauce, a good solid red wine- wow. Dried out and drove back to Versailles in the rain.

Everyone had a place to stay, hang out, or get some space. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - making us feel at home. Their morning breakfast was top notch. The chapel, restaurants, cafe's, and sights are all within walking distance. This is a place that reminds you the history that permeates France with buildings that are hundreds of years old (but don't look shabby) and a friendly atmosphere. If you are planning on exploring Normandie you can base out of here and be within 1-2 hours of everything.

Much of Bayeux was walkable from here, and driving to the American and British beaches was very manageable. You can see the entrance to the museum with the Bayeux Tapestry from their front door. Restaurants we planned to taxi to were walkable. The facility is a several century old mansion, totally renovated by the architect owner who has done everything first class. Our room was huge, everything was new, and everything worked. The staff was outstanding in their efforts to accommodate a couple Americans. Breakfast equaled the facility - in a formal dining room setting and with an extensive selection. I would recommend Hotel Tardif Noble Guesthouse to anyone, whether they're five star hotel people or campers.

It took us a while to figure out how to work the washer and dryer properly; however, once we did, they worked like a charm. There is a great outside area where you can sit or have a picnic. This was our meeting place in the morning and nights to regroup and rehash the day and night's events. The area around the house is lovely and quiet. Cows and their calves roam the fields in back of the house. This house is not handicap accessible. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are a bit tricky as they are old and partially spiraled. There is a shower upstairs, which was convenient. There is also a bath on the other side of the house- I don't know why baths don't have shower curtains in France!! It's such a mess. The accomodations are as follows: 2 rooms with double bed 1 room with 1-single bed 1 room with 2-single beds 1 room with 2-single beds and a double bed Beds were hard but comfy. The "master bedroom" has the oldest bed and probably could use a new mattress but we made do. Highly recommend! A perfect place for a family reunion. Enough space and adequate tools (oven, dish washer, plates, etc) to cook and eat meals here. Bring your own towels!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you are willing to step back from the hustle and bustle of the fast life and just take life in at a slower, more relaxed pace.

The tables are pretty crammed in, so just a good casual cafe.
