The Graftwerk is an old mill, with extensive seating, although there are three or four sections, so you still can enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There is a separate smoking section, but separated enough so the rest of the building appears smoke-free. We went in the evening for dinner: we both really enjoyed the food. We both ate and had a couple of drinks for under €50,00. It's also not a bad place to stop in for a beer in the daytime, in Spring and summer there is outdoor seating by the water.

      Their "tapas para muhcos amigos" is what would be called an appetizer platter at a sports bar or…read more"family chain" like Chile's in America (i.e., a restaurant that serves at best medi ocre food). Everything was fried and very salty. It almost made me cry, missing the well-cooked, properly seasoned tapas at Jaleo in D.C. What made this all the worse is that the waitress never came back to get drink orders. It would have been annoying enough had I not just split a platter loaded with salt and grease and was thus incredibly thirsty afterward. My husband had to go to the bar to get another round. We were also charged for a drink we never received (from when the food order was taken -- since the waitress never came back for any other drink orders). Then, after all of that, extremely loud pop music came on, and they started flickering the lights on and off, trying to pretend to be a club. I was eating with people from places ranging from Peru to Italy to Syria -- everyone was annoyed. We grabbed waitress, paid the bill, and split as soon as possible.

      Great breakfast buffet and way more affordable than the hotel offerings. So we came both days.read more

I've never had ice cream in coffee before but it worked okay. I ordered the curry vegetables and wasn't surprised that it spicy at all. Germans are exceptional at many things except spicy foods. The only hot sauce they had was Tabasco, which was disappointing in american and even more so overseas.
