I came on a Monday to see a new release, which was showing in Theater #1. The concession had about 2 or 3 people working, but the crowd was light, so I was able to get my snacks quickly. I ordered a hot dog, popcorn, and a soda; everything was prepared and I was in and out in just minutes. They have a self serve soda fountain. Theater #1 had automated reclining chairs and were very thick and plush. I could had fallen asleep in that thing if the movie wasn't so good. The theater is a bit of a maze and they don't have signage letting you know which theaters are down which hallways. The theater numbers are posted on the way in a way that you have to be right on top of it to see it. None of the signs are hanging perpendicular to the way to be seen from afar. It would be nice if they invested in some better signs. Knocking a star for the signs. Otherwise, great place to take in a new (or old) movie. read more

Service: Since I live in Grand Forks myself, I go here a lot. The service is never bad and they will always deliver your food. 10/10. Snacks: Pizzas and Popcorn are amazing. Candy is in a good variety. 9.8/10 Cinema rooms: spacious and very comfortable recently. The recliners are so good and never bad. The screens are really nice and big enough for everyone to see. I took my grandsons to the movies here. I don't live in Grand Forks, but for a small town, this was a great venue. The prices were good, the theater was clean and the staff friendly. I will definitely go here again (if there are decent movies for kids available). read more

Place sucks! Manager and management sucks! Don't watch movies here, the seats, floors, and carpet are all beyond disgusting! The prices are over inflated. Don't try to have parties here either, they don't call, they don't message back right away. And they force you to order their frozen tiny pizzas or order from the nasty shire. That's not realistic with a birthday party. Grand Forks is getting a new theater, we can't wait and yall should avoid this place! read more

I am not impressed with the #12 cinema. It has the smallest screen and, there are no reclining seats. The seats are very low and difficult to get out of. But, the worst of it is it was about 80F and 70% humidity! The 11:45AM showings must not get to have A/C! But, my grandson wanted to see the new Child's Play. It would be nicer if it was comfortable. No wonder I prefer my own home theater. Three admissions, three medium popcorns and one medium drink was about $48.00! read more

I've always enjoyed going to the movies here. Haven't been here in a few years. My main complaint is the popcorn....I paid $10 for 2 small popcorn and it was 2 containers of all the broken little pieces leftover that should be thrown away. Not 1 complete popped kernel. They should up their standards a little bit. The sound at the beginning of the movie was so loud the whole theater was vibrating. We had to cover our ears. Thankfully they turned it down after we asked them to. Note to others, check your popcorn before paying for crumbs. read more

Came early for a movie and waited at the counter and no one came for 10 minutes

Saw a movie in Theater 9. Seats were just fine. There was a floor section and a riser section. I sat in the first row of the riser. There were only two others besides me in the theater. Seats were comfortable, you could lean back on the seats. View of the screen was fine! (I saw "We're the Millers") I went to a 3:00 showing and paid $5.50, pretty reasonable. read more

The popcorn is fresh and hot. Special Discount pricing for Tuesdays ($5) night. The movie theaters are clean and comfortable seats. Try the Luxury seating if your movie is playing in one of the two theaters that offer it. They recline and heat (so comfortable). Holy mess batman! First let me start by saying this is the oddest movie theater I have ever been to... First and foremost, its all made to look wood cabin-esk, which I can kind of gt behind because hey, we are in North Dakota. Second, it find it kind of odd that you buy your tickets and concessions at the same place...also, I have never been to a theater where the soda is self serve. I will admit it is kind of nice, but it looked like a hurricane hit the drink station and it was a sticky mess. Then you need to pay attention to where your movie is playing because they are broken off in to weird corridors and you may need to go across the hall. Then, we open the door to the theater itself and I felt like I just walked into a high school combo theater/gym or something. The floors are odd white tile and there is big wide open area of white tile in front of the screen. There is popcorn and empty containers all over the floor.... so, I guess they don't clean up in the theaters between shows here. The chairs are definitely on the low-rider side as someone else had mentioned and the "stadium" seating spacing isn't enough to let you have unobstructed view of the screen. The step is like a baby step, so it may as well not be stadium seating. The whole movie going experience was unlike any other. I hope the other theater across town is better... read more

This is the best theater in Grand Forks hands down. Located in a nice part of town with ample parking. The staff is very courteous. Ticket prices are as low as you will find. My wife and I usually attend matinées and spend 15 dollars with popcorn, and pop. You can go back for as many refills as you would like. Quality HD screens make this the all around package. There is even a party room if you're looking to throw a party. read more

We have the good fortune of living in a town where you can get a first run movie, in a clean theater with brand new seats and a perfect sound system, plus a huge tub of popcorn and a giant soda for aprox $10. That's a pretty great price for what you get. Riverview has recently expanded and seems to be doing great. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of five is because they keep saying they are going to show more indy movies and as far as I can tell, they aren't. Hopefully they will. read more

I really wish I could give them 0 stars, because 1 is way too much for them. A group of friends and I went to a movie that was rated R. The groups of friends included 3 underage kids that were 16 and there was a 18 year old to accompany them. However, they said that it is against the rules, so they said that one of the 16 year olds had to leave. Coincidentally, one of the 16 year olds was African American, and he was the one that was asked to leave. I really believe it was racially motivated. To boycott this experience, we decided to leave the movie theater and get our tickets refunded. We all handed them our tickets back, but they said one of us didn't hand our tickets back. Can you take a guess at who it was? If you guessed our African American friend Kobe, you would be correct. They did not give him money in return for his apparently lost ticket. This is another act I believe was racially motivated. I am extremely disappointed in the two workers that I believe were racially discriminating towards my friend Kobe. read more

I love this place. It's very cozy, sound is great, seats are comfortable, lots of movie times and theatres, never really a line to buy snacks cuz they always have a decent amount of workers at peak times. My main issue with this place is the bathroom. There's not enough urinals/toilets. Plus I think they should build another bathroom towards the back of the theatres. And of course it's a rip off for a ticket as well as popcorn and all the snacks. But they do have ICEE's!!! Which the other theater in town does not which is why I go here. lol read more

Considering there's only two movie theaters within the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks region, it's pretty easy to be the best in town. With that being said, I've always been pleased with the cleanliness, sound/picture, prices, and up-to-date movie listings week in and week out. Decent theater but staff literally couldn't care less. Past three times we have been here the employees behind the counter seem annoyed to be there. Today we had one throw a straw across the counter at my wife and give her an icee that overflowed all over her. If you don't want the job and it annoys you to work then quit and take your attitude somewhere else. read more

We love this theater and it keeps getting better! Yes, the price of snacks are little high (as probably all theaters), but not as high as The Ralph or Alerus charge. On Tuesdays, you can see any movie, afternoon or evening, for only five bucks! For only two dollars more (same for seeing movie in 3D), if the movie is playing in theater #1 or #4, you get to sit in one of their new luxury lounge chairs (the whole theater)! We tried this at our last movie we seen (we could seen it at another theater showing with regular seats), and it was awesome! Not only do they recline and raise your legs/feet, but you can adjust the headrest also (so your not staring at the ceiling). Another nice touch is that it has a built-in heater (although you can't adjust temp--either on or off). The controls are either under the armrest or on left side of lounger. Spouse turned hers on, but had to turn it off about half-way through movie from being too warm, but still nice addition. She said only thing missing was a pillow and blanket! lol After the movie, we happened to see the theater owner in the lobby and had to rave about the new seating. i went here once and will never again. I had a free movie voucher and when i got there i wasn't sure what to see. there wasn't anyone in line so i was thinking out loud and asked the box office guys what was good and they just stood there looking at me, shrugged, kind of mumbled. so i chose 'expendables 2'. they handed me the ticket and that was it., not a word. i didn't know where to go to check in so i just started walking until i saw a guy standing by the ticket box. i handed him my ticket and he ripped it and pointed down a hallway and walked away. i walked down the hallway, looking at each sign to see where my movie was and found it, until i thought better and returned to the snack bar and asked for a manager. she came over and i said, verbatim, "the customer service here BLOWS. the box office people couldn't offer any movie suggestions or any kind of interaction, and this guy over here at the box just pointed down the hallway after taking my ticket, didn't tell me where my movie was, nothing. No smiles, no "enjoy the movie", nothing. I work for a company that spends hours and thousands of dollars promoting customer service and i can tell you, i will never be back here after this." she kind of blinked and apologized and i walked away to my movie. just horrible. read more
