Wow! Old fashioned movie theatre with the coolest metal statues made of car scraps! Across the street, the Blue Moose, Thai place and the Boardwalk eateries by the river. Watched Top Gun 2 tickets for $14 yay:)

Nice clean theatre, prices appropriate for movies! Concessions overpriced as usual. But we only paid $9 today for 3 adults, 1 toddler with a bottle of water! Pretty good deal! Baby is in the stroller so he can take a nap if needed!

You buy snacks & movie tickets @ the same place!

I don't live in Grand Forks, but for a small town, this was a great venue.

This past summer, our family visited the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site in…read moreNorth Dakota during our summer road trip, and it was an unforgettable experience! This museum is not just a fascinating glimpse into Cold War history; it offers a deeper understanding of the era's impact on our country and the world. The middle-of-nowhere site features a restored missile silo and an informative visitor center, showcasing the history of the Minuteman missile program and its role in nuclear deterrence. Walking through the exhibits, we learned about the technological advancements of the time and the strategic importance of North Dakota in national defense. It was enlightening for both the adults and kids in our group. What made our visit even more memorable was the sudden summer thunderstorm that rolled in while we were exploring the outdoor exhibits. The dramatic skies and the sound of thunder added an unexpected thrill to our experience. We huddled together in the visitor center, watching the rain pour down, and shared stories and laughter while learning about history. It was a beautiful moment of connection, both as a family and with the rich history surrounding us. Driving across NoDak, the be can spot many decommissioned missle silos-- for a while, some folks were buying them just to own a piece of history, and maybe recycle the metal left on the property (pretty sure the military took all the Uranium and Plutonium when they left...) If you're looking for a unique and educational stop on your road trip, I highly recommend the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Museum. It's a great blend of history and family fun, and you might even get a dose of that quintessential North Dakota summer weather to make your visit even more memorable

Awesome tour! We…read moredrove about a hour and a half from Fargo to check out this site. You pass lots of farm land. The location is just outside of Cooperstown. Pulling up to the location it was hard to tell if we were at the right place but there was a sign on the fence. The entrance is in the front of the building. We were greeted by Mickey and she gave us a great overview of the facility. The tour costs $10. It starts with a 20 minute video about the Cold War area, why the missile silos were created, and information about the building of this location. After the video there are some descriptive posters about the Cold War and where the missile sites were located. Then you go through the facility as it was left original in all its 80s glory. After the above ground tour you get to take the elevator below ground to the launch control area. The tour was highly informative and really opened up your mind to the historical importance of this location. Although there is no missile silo to see, it was still very much worth the trip. The tour guide also gave a great overview of how the facility operated and was great at answering questions.
