I love this small bookstore!! I've visited Alaska for a couple weeks each of the last 3 years. Each time I've ended up here a few times to purchase books. The selection is small but very well curated. With help of media mail I've been able to ship my purchases home each year. Wonderful little shop! Browsing through bookshelves, discovering new reading escapades, inhaling the smell of written words, immersing yourself in the world of imagination - I love bookstores! It was so nice to come across this wonderful bookstore in Soldotna. They have a delightful selection of fiction: I found many books that I have already read and countless others that are on my "to read" list. The kids' section was equally impressive. My husband and I enjoyed conversing with the bookseller; she even recommended a lunch place nearby. Overall, a wonderful experience. We can't wait to be back! read more

I stopped-in to buy a "2016 The Milepost" and an "Alaska Atlas and Gazetteer" to help me find my way around the many recreational areas and noteworthy places to visit on the Kenai Peninsula. Rude service. Entered building, was told I have to leave if I refuse to wear a mask. It is 2022, we are fully vaccinated and I refuse to put a mask on my face when it does absolutely nothing to help prevent the spread of Covid. Disappointed I couldn't stay, but happy to know where I will most definitely not be purchasing any books going forward. read more

Super mellow spot with really helpful staff who were able to order some books I was looking for with no extra charge. Lucy's Market in the back of the building is also great! Tasty healthy grab and go snacks, sandwichs and drinks. read more

What an a little gem, tucked into a unassuming building. Multiple businesses share the space, so Its a one-stop shop for fun. There's the bookstore, a lingerie/spa shop, and a cafe I didn't try, having just eaten at St. Elias brewery for lunch. The bookstore was wonderfully curated. There was the standard Alaskana for out-of-towners, but what surprised me was the vast selection of contemporary literary fiction. Sometimes I go into bookstores and can't find a thing I want, partly because quality writing and beach trash are so commingled, but here, everything looked good! Everything! I would go back in a heartbeat, and you can bet this will be a mandatory stop on all future trips to Homer. read more

This is a cute little bookstore which is almost unnoticed from the highway. Great selection of reads, and a decent selection of clearance books too. There is a cafe right next door for sitting and sipping. The lady at the front was more than helpful when trying to locate a book for me. They did not have it in but she offered to order it for me and hold it until they called to say it was ready. Had good recommendations on their stock. Definitely going to be coming back! read more
