I am only visiting for the day and this was the first stop I made in this town, walking in I was greeted very warmly and kindly, I didn't stay but the dining area was very clean and fresh, it looked like there were quite a few good spots to set up for work or just sit. Completely random stop - but saw the sign for a River city coffee on the sidewalk and made the stop. I had a dirty chi that was good, the pull in the espresso was just right and it had a little spice without someone overdoing it. The store is amazingly cute with a different variety of things from local soaps to funny shirts. It's a good little place as you are passing through to get a few things specific to Evansville. I've been into River City Coffee & Goods several times now since moving to EVV and I'm thankful for this local establishment. This is a revised review with some more details since my initial visits! You'll find a variety of regionally-made jewelry and other goods, cards, kitchy gifts, knick knacks, plus EVV shirts and swag, local flowers (replenished weekly), and of course -- coffee!! Prices on items vary, but there are price points on something for everyone A few years ago we decided to keep fresh flowers in the house as a "NY resolution" -- we've continued to do that pretty regularly either from grocery/ market trips or from our local florists and farmers markets when we lived in Indy so I was so happy to learn that Timberview Flower Farm replenishes arrangements weekly! I've loved picking out arrangements from the cooler. For Valentine's Day, I got my bf a snake plant + card as part of their preorder -- so great! I've enjoyed shopping for gifts here and the chai tea latte was the bomb. They also have baked goods, but I haven't tried those (yet)! I look forward to more visits here. Staff is friendly/ helpful, behind a barrier with COVID precautions being followed and masked. Hand sanitizer is available and there are arrows on the floor to attempt to flow traffic one way around the register. read more

Stopped by to do some studying and reading. The place is clean and neat with local goods and drinks. I had the lavender vanilla chai and it was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was also chock full of chocolate chips and delicious, especially warmed up in the microwave. There is ample seating, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. We were looking forward to an after dinner coffee and chose River City Coffee because of the 5 star review. We were disappointed from the get go. The young lady taken our order seemed a little aggravated that she had to wait on us and never made eye contact or smiled at all. I needed some sweetener and cream for my coffee and asked a gentleman behind the counter about it. I understand that due to Covid they are not allowed to keep the items out for customers but again, he seemed put out that I asked. We wouldn't recommend even though the coffee was "ok". read more

I love working on homework here! The staff is always friendly and they make really good iced coffee and vanilla lattes. The outdoor seating in the back of the store is a great addition. River City Coffee takes the motto "Buy Local" to the most pleasant of extremes. Filling the shop with many local merchants and artists products. Giving an avenue to many local entrepreneurs that they would otherwise not have. Have I mentioned the coffee? When you go (not if) do yourself a favor and enjoy an "Ameri-cola" Coffee and soda? I moved to Evansville at the start of 2018, I happened across River City the first week I was in town and have been hooked ever since. I'm there 5+ times per week. The coffee is some of the best in town, the staff makes you feel like family and there are some fun, uniquely curated products that have served as perfect gift options. I love the friendliness and the atmosphere of the shop and love the products they sell. Although this is a great place to go they don't have the best coffee. The coffee beans are burnt giving the coffee a bitter burnt taste. That is my only problem. They do have great muffins and cookies but if you're looking for great coffee this isn't the best place for you. read more

I am not from Evansville, but I have a lot of family who lives there. Whenever I come to visit, I always swing by River City Coffee! I make sure to always try something different and I cannot seem to pick a favorite, because they are always exactly what I need at the time. Their latte's, no matter the flavor, always seems to be the perfect ratio. Their over-pours are made to precise perfection and their BLISSFUL ROSE CHAI LATTE is to die for.
