For the last two years, my wife and her sister visited numerous facilities, determined to find a place where their mom would truly be happy. But time after time, something was missing. Their mom was understandably reluctant to move. She had deep emotional ties to her apartment--it's where she had lived with her late husband, and leaving it felt like leaving part of him behind. Then they discovered Tuscan Gardens. From the moment they walked in, everything felt different. The staff was warm and welcoming. The community was immaculate, bright, and full of charm, with cozy nooks and inviting spaces around every corner. They spoke with residents who genuinely loved living there--and it showed. Still, the biggest test was introducing the idea to their mom. They brought her to visit... and she lit up. She loved it! The decision was made, and she moved in shortly after. Now? She's thriving. She has a big smile on her face every day. She's surrounded by friendly, caring staff in a beautiful, healthy environment. For our family, it's been a huge relief. We finally have peace of mind knowing she's not just "getting by" but actually enjoying her days. That confidence and comfort are priceless. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Tuscan Gardens! My sister went to this facility and few years ago for pt. She recently had surgery and needed pt so…read moredecided to go back. This place has gone down hill. The staff, except for pt, is mostly bad. They are not responsive and act like you're bothering them. She actually had to tell the nurse to change the dressing on her wound. When she finished she was actually going to put the soiled, bloody bandage back on her until I told her no way!!!! The fiid is horrible. It is dark and dreary and they don't clean. She had something sticky on her floor that we complained about and it they didn't clean it til the next day. Her tray was grimy and they didn't ckean that either til I complained. The worst of all was when she woke up in the middle of the night with roaches crawling on her and in her bed. Needless to say she left the next morning. This place is gross. Do not go here!

I never had any problems and when there were concerns they were well communicated and addressed immediately. This was a very clean facility and the food was very well prepared and tasty. I would highly recommend Solaris Healthcare for anyone seeking a short term rehab the therapy was the greatest and worked wonders with mom she made great progress with fantastic therapist. I highly recommend Solaris Healthcare.

Cannot say enough good things about this facility…read more I contacted Pam at Grand Care Assisted Living when I was searching for a location for an elderly relative to live. He had been in a skilled nursing facility previously, but was receiving sub-par care there. Pam was quite helpful; although this location is listed as "assisted living" rather than "skilled nursing," Pam questioned whether this relative really needed skilled nursing. After speaking with her for a bit, I realized she was right. This relative simply needed a change of scenery, a smaller facility in which to live, and one that would keep an eye on him. We made arrangements (along with my brother) to have Pam evaluate our gentleman relative at his then-current location and scheduled a visit to Grand Care while I was in town. Immediately impressed with the actual location: easy to access, one-story, small, pastel-painted and beautifully decorated rooms, multiple amenities and staff that has worked here for years. Cost quoted was quite reasonable. We made arrangements for our elderly relative to move here as soon as it could be arranged. The improvement in this relative's demeanor, health and outlook on life skyrocketed. Where he had been withdrawn, irritable, refusing to eat and in pain (he had multiple falls in the skilled nursing facility), within weeks we saw an extremely positive change. He's eating, socializing, exercising, moving more freely, no longer in pain and has developed multiple friendships here (both among the staff and other residents). Absolutely heartwarming for us to see such a marked improvement. This is a small facility. It is more of a home-like setting rather than an institution. Staff is wonderful. Pam remains a great communicator and motivator. Her handling of the residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian was stellar. I've interviewed and seen my share of home healthcare and assisted living facilities. Some are downright despicable, presenting either sanitized living space and/or caregivers that demonstrate little compassion. Grand Care Assisted Living is, in my opinion, top notch and probably one of the best locations for assisted living in the area. Highly recommended, as the the care that my elderly relative is receiving is nothing short of remarkable, and the transformation in his outlook, health and attitude has been extraordinary.

Wow has this place gone downhill quickly - mainly after Hurricane Ian (Sept 2022). It was…read morepreviously one of the highest rated in Venice and I thought we had found a hidden gem. My MIL recently moved out after 5 months. As we live very close we saw all this first hand. When she moved out almost all the former staff had left - and more have left since - in fact one manager made it only 3 months. I am afraid that says something about management at the corporate level. Food had been fairly bad toward the end and at one point they were asking people hired for management or activities to cook and some of their spouses even showed up to help. Server turnover was unreal as they expected servers to also clean apartments. Corporate should have handled cooks leaving better. 3 meals per day are included and if that means you have to have it catered or bring a chef from other locations then that is what should happen. Dang even go to Costco and get food! You should not be having managers attempt to make grilled cheese sandwiches (which they burned btw. The units do not have cooking facilities (only a fridge and sink) so residents depend on the food service. Transportation was to be provided but at one point the driver quit - another one was hired but eventually failed a background check. Then management told residents they would have to "find a their own driver" if they wanted to be transported. Many residents do not have cars or should not be driving this is unacceptable. They only have one elevator that is shared by everyone and it is not dependable. Pool had still not opened 5 months after the hurricane (maybe it opened in the last month - who knows). Roof is still in need of repair after the hurricane (6 months now) - I drove by to check. Beware they have no generator. Until improvements happen look at someplace else for you or your loved ones. Do not listen to empty promises of coming improvements.
