Undoubtedly my favourite Thai dining experiance in Melbourne.
When the restaurant first opened they would have a tasting night one Monday each month. $20.00 for a smorgesboard of about 5 mains. Then it went to $25.00 and two sittings, such was the popularity, and then they just didn't need to do it, such was the rise in popularity of the restaurant.
Over the years the prices have escalated, but the quality of food has not changed. This consistency has gained the suburban Thai eatery a regular place in the good food guide.
THE MENU;
The quality of this food is great, with all the classics very well done. But, some of the Burmese Curries are sensational. The duck curry is a standout, lychees, cherry tomatos, snow peas in a coconut curry sounds a little strange, but give it a go. Lab Nir, a spicy beef salad Mrs Evill loves or the beef and basil curry slow cooked.
All I can say is, yes the red curry is delicious, but there is soooo much more to this Thai restaurant.
The staff are good, but sometimes take a little time to come. But you know, take your time and enjoy. The decore is not over the top and nothing says take your time more than good quality padded chairs. read more
