He was able to let me in the gym while he was at his second home in Costa Rica. I was impressed with his level of sincerity and just overall pleasant demeanor. Although I had heard some negative rumblings about the previous owner, Ryan was super nice and easy to deal with. He informed that he has owned the gym for two years now and installed the most modern and advanced exercise equipment on the market and it shows when you walk in the door, surprisingly the gym was not crowded for the week I went in my guest pass and was always very clean and all of the members were very nice. I am a few pounds overweight and non of the members made me feel uncomfortable or out of place. I will be going back when I visit next and look forward to meeting Ryan in person! Lack of respect with certain instructors and classes. It all comes down to poor management and a lack of a working Board of Directors. This will lead to quality, long time members pulling their money and spending it elsewhere. It's consistently gotten worse. Such a shame.

I've been coming for about 6 weeks and have already made friends. Some of their classes have a kid's room available so someone can watch your little one while you workout. They are welcoming whether that means you're a grandparent looking to get in better shape and stay active or whether that means that you're 20-something that wants the thrill of competing in a sport. We didn't bowl but we spent time in the arcade. On a Tuesday night it wasn't busy and there were plenty of games to play. You have to purchase a game card from a machine to play. They do not have money at the game itself. Multiple card denominations are sold and you can pay with cash or card. Some games are for entertainment only (shooting games, driving games and air hockey. Lots of games dispense "tickets" which are recorded on your card. Tickets can be redeemed for prizes. Price for the arcade was a bit steep. Some games are over $1 a play. And once the kids start choosing games where they are trying to win tickets the money goes fast! Overall playing at the arcade was fun. Something to do every once in awhile.

It wasn't busy at all (being a newer park) and it felt as though we almost had the place to ourselves. I assume that will change as more people find out about this gem, but we definitely enjoyed it. It was amazing to not have to wait in long lines. In most cases, there was no wait al all and sometimes our party were the only people on the ride. I thought staff was friendly and I appreciated the commitment to theme at the park. My favorite part oddly enough was how CLEAN the park was. I couldn't believe it! No trash, no random sticky messes, etc. The dining facilities we went in were air conditioned, clean, and spacious. Our food was decent. Typical park pricing I'd say. The only drawback for us was that the kid rides were frequently going down so we needed to come back to a handful a couple of times so our toddler could try them. We held our wedding reception in the reception hall of Centennial Oaks this October. Though the primary event planner left to take a job about 5 months before our event, the general manager (John) was in contact with us shortly after to assure our reception would go off without a hitch. The size is nice and the room configuration can be switched around to accommodate anywhere from 50-300 guests. There is a nice view from 2 different sets of glass doors looking out to the course. We were allowed access to the space the day before to decorate, and John was on hand to answer last minute questions including table set up, tear down, and serving guidelines. About 105 people attended our reception and it never seemed overly crowded. The buffet lines for dinner were fast moving, and Centennial Oaks provided staff to dismiss tables. For our tasting, Centennial Oaks staff worked with us to arrange a time that fit with our schedule. They were conscious of our budget, provided great suggestions, and were happy to alter our appetizer order as the size of the reception grew. We found the price to be fair, it fit our budget perfectly, and the guarantee cost for liquor and food was reasonable. Staff the night of the reception were very friendly and quick to respond. Several of our guests commented on how surprised they were at the cost of drinks we did not host -- much less than they expected, which was nice to hear. Cons: -We did not receive a proper seating chart and table information until four days before the reception. This caused a bit of a hassle as we had to re-do seating charts based on a number we had been provided earlier in the summer. -At times, the management was difficult to reach and answers to relatively easy questions seemed to take longer. -We received a refund check and when attempting to deposit it, realized the club had not signed the check; thus the bank would not accept it. D'oh! We have yet to receive a response from management about sending a new check. Pros (finish on a positive note): -Fair and reasonable pricing. -Appetizers were excellent. -Easy to work with via email contact. -Staff assisted with tear-down at end of the night, leaving less for family members to take care of. -Great guidelines for decorations -- we were allowed to hang some hand-made decorations from the ceiling and set-up of the reception was a breeze. -Great space that didn't break the bank, way less than other reception sites we priced in the Waverly and Cedar Falls area!
