The last review of this park was 14 years ago so I wanted to give an updated review. It is a five out of five cute small clean fun. The kids didn't wanna leave. No dog park, but there are plenty of dogs on leash walking around with their owners who are very responsible with picking up after them. The grass is clean and beautiful for picnics throwing the football playing catch or having fun with the kids playing Frisbee plenty of room for multiple families

I didn't discover Elm Grove Park until the start of the pandemic back in 2020 when I started…read moreexploring different streets around my neighborhood. But I am very happy I found it! Usually I do like walking/running 4 laps around the perimeter of the park (two blocks) which is equal to ~1 mile and then relax on the park benches which are well shaded even in the summer. It's the perfect place for families with small kids as there is a playground and is perfect of dog walkers. The park also has a tennis court, public restrooms, a small basketball court, and a grilling area. The only small complaint (which isn't a huge deal) is that some parts along perimeter have a sidewalk and some parts are just a curb. However, traffic around the park is minimal so I think an accident is less likely to happen. I'll continue to come to this park this summer and try out the other amenities in the near future! I used to live about 5 minutes from it. Now that I moved to Northside of Boise, they only time we go here is if...1) its SUPER nice out and traffic doesn't blow! (It usually does lol) or 2) I go to any of the stores on Milwaukee....Natural Grocers, the malls, etc. Frankie boy goes everywhere with me...so yeah, if we are in the area, we will stop here. Just a super pleasant park. Always clean af, great views of the foothills, happy people and even happier doggies!....which makes it even better :) Big open fields for soccer and whatnot. We see soccer tournaments there a lot. So with them, it gets crowded as hell...otherwise, it's a park you should check out.. Each one has their own distinct personality. These photos were taken on 6/2/23, when I stumbled upon this park while out running an errand. It's one I had always meant to visit. Heck, it's got a mini zip line which I myself enjoy riding. There are swings for little ones and bigger ones. Plus, all the slides. A tennis court hugs the entrance off Federal Way. But there is also parking off Overland which is typically less crowded. The real reason we love this park? It has a pond! It's not massive, but stocked with fish and home to red winged blackbirds, geese and ducks. It's a bucolic, quaint area that's definitely quiet compared to Boise's larger parks with ponds. If you're looking to watch some birds, sit and enjoy cattails swaying in the wind, this is the spot. Plus, mature trees left alone when this plot was transferred from the Day family into city hands. Fun little park. Give it a go!

We were looking for potential apartments in either Denver/Colorado Springs or Boise. We wanted a view and a place to exercise (walking, biking, or even a good gym). Our final decision came by walking this park, which happens to have a walk path along the Boise River Greenbelt. So, the park is nice with a fountain, a gazebo, and so on, but it really won our hearts because it conveyed, to us, the spirit of Boise - parks, greenbelt, outdoor activities, and just a nice place to live. I'm sure this prejudiced my five star rating, but I think it would have gotten five stars anyway, just as Boise as a city has for us so far.

my son and I somewhat enjoyed this park. it's tucked away in a little neighborhood in the north…read moreend. it has its own parking lot and plenty of trees for shade, which is good, especially as it gets hotter. the equipment was "little tikes" brand so it's very brightly colored and my son went nuts when he saw it. he couldn't wait to play! he's only 2, but they do have a little kids section and a big kids section. both sections were raised up so high above the wood chips it was honestly dangerous. the gap at the bottom of the slides was taller than my kid. at one point he went down the slide too fast and it's so high up he went flying off into the wood screaming. why are they leaving this giant gap? I will never understand why so many parks have this issue. we probably won't come back to this one unfortunately. onto the next!

On first glance, it wasn't what we were looking for as a potential wedding venue, but we still enjoyed an afternoon outing, walking in the park, getting some sunlight, and seeing the rest of the location. Just shortly passed the park was Indian Creek so we got to watch it flowing by like a raging river. It was truly spectacular. Well, not necessarily part of the park itself. It's definitely a nice charm. Just a stone. Throw away the park and plenty of space for kids, a picnic area, and a very large porta potty.
