Back a year later to revisit the greater Yakima area! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I sat at a table on the patio. The local people were very welcoming and nice. Morgan was the only server on duty and she is just delightful and the perfect hostess! I ordered a Reuben Sandwich with tater tots. The corned beef was sooo tender and the sandwich was a very generous portion. One of the best Reuben sandwiches I have had in years!! I just want to say that this is an establishment I would go out of my way to visit!! The pricing of items was very reasonable and it was a happy, friendly experience. Priceless!! read more

This place is going downhill fast. Horrible attitude. We had a group of 5 golfing 2 of our 5 haven't really golfed so naturally it's gana take us a little longer. Before starting the round we asked if we could play the first 9 and if we want to go again pay for the next 9. They said of course. After playing the first 9 which took 2 hours (mind you there's 5 of us 2 are new) we went in to pay for the next 9 the rude lady there was shocked that it took 2 hours and said with a terrible attitude "I took you 2 hours?! This is a 1-1/2 hour course, no you can't go again" the experience was terrible. Not to mention the course is in horrible shape. There's literally weeds growing out of the greens which made me miss putts. Don't go to this course. Don't waste your money. read more

Bring 2 coats. ITS COLD! Service is ok, slow night for a Friday. Food is good, but it's hard to enjoy a meal when the temp is soooo cold. I had a cardigan on & a coat fully zipped. My husband kept his coat fully zipped. Not very relaxing! Indoor fireplace is in the corner but there is an L-couch trapping all the heat in the corner. I been golfing and dinning at this establishment since the opening. Now that it's under new ownership it has went way down hill. The new owners are very rude and if you are not one of their little friends they don't give a crud about you. What you pay for golf there you can pay at another local course and play on better fairways and greens. They treat the place like their own little playground for them and their buddies. I recommend paying a little more and going somewhere else to golf. read more

River ridge is recently under new ownership. The restaurant at the course was great. Food was reasonably priced and the waitress mo was a rockstar. The whole lot is very pretty and will only get better in the future. This would be a good place to host an event like a wedding or just to get some food and shoot some gold. read more

The golf course is unkept. The building didn't look safe. The food is mediocre and the wait staff is never the same. Used to be the place to go for taco Tuesday. But now they are just grease balls rapped in a tortilla. Last night we went and it took 2 hours to get our food. read more

I wish I could give this course zero stars. Very poorly maintained, staff was unknowledgeable (simple questions like "are the keys already in the golf cart?"), the fairways are more like rough and greens and tees are poorly maintained. The area was complete marsh. More than half the course was under water. Everything is either unmarked or MISmarked...not to mention, this course is also the most expensive in the Yakima area. Good first time visit. Waitress was friendly. Food was good and we received relatively quickly. Had special which was steak sandwich on ciabatta bread with coleslaw on it along with garlic fries. Atmosphere was positive. Didn't golf, but seemed low key and casual if you wanted to hit a few balls around. Looked like they had scheduled nights of games and live music. There was bar with what looked like mostly cheaper liquor. Tap had around 6 choices at very reasonable prices. Will return for some cheap golf or lunch again. read more

I went to River Ridge one afternoon last week and had a great time. We walked nine holes -- all level, and comfortable to walk -- then had a terrific lunch afterwards on the deck at the clubhouse. I think golf was $15/person for our nine (replay is cheaper, seniors are discounted), on a Par 31 course that was nonetheless interesting to play with two holes over a lake, and others along streams (it was also mapped on my Garmin watch and posted on GHIN, so it's legit). Lunch was super reasonable, with a local microbrew on tap. It's June, so the water issues on the course that some of the reviews noted were long abated but as far as the restaurant and staff, we found everyone very friendly and helpful! It's a great way to spend a few hours in a lovely setting, with very nice people. read more

I usually eat lunch in the restaurant, so I can't comment on their dinner menu. But the sandwiches and salads I've had have been very good. The on-tap beer selection is not huge, but they have something for every taste - something light, something heavy, something hoppy, etc... As for the golf course, it's been perfect for my ability level. It's a little more challenging than a par-3 course, but still pretty short. A few mandatory over the water shots, but as long as you can hit the ball about 90 yards or so, you can make those without any trouble. Lots of fun for a low-time golfer. read more

We had a great dinner at the restaurant. Food selection, quality and taste were very good and prices are very reasonable for comparable restaurants. Service was excellent too! Just moved to this area and disappointed with so many other restaurants we have tried. This will be one of our regular spots and a nice place to bring out of town guests. read more

We had two meetings with the staff and exchanged multiple emails for an event at their restaurant. We were given the distinct impression the restaurant would be closed for our private event. When we arrived there were customers in our party space and remained throughout the event. The staff were unable to answer questions as they did not know there was an event planned. The tables and floor were dirty (tator tots and other food) and we had to wash and sweep it ourselves. The fliers they made were lovely And the food we ordered was sub par and not worth the expense, and we pretested the audio video equipment the day prior and it ran flawlessly. The day of the party it was nothing but issues and we were advised someone messed with their electronics and then that it was my computers fault. The fact that a good time was had, had everything to do with the participants and nothing to do with the venue. I would not refer or recommend this venue!!! Be cautious to review your bill prior to paying as there were additional charges that were subsequently removed. read more

The golf course is okay for a 9 hole, but this review is for the restaurant. My wife and I have visited this golf course many times and we always eat on their expansive deck. The menu is varied and the food is EXCELLENT. I don't understand why this restaurant isn't listed as a local restaurant in the area since it's nice to eat there even if one doesn't want to golf. we went to River Ridge last night with a group of six & my baby. it took at least 15 minutes to bring us water and a pitcher of beer for the table. we placed our orders after another 10 minutes, and it took longer then 30 minutes to bring the food out. during our wait for the food, we received no water refills. when we got our food, my sister in law had ordered no cheese on her sandwich, and there was cheese. my husband had ordered the ruben, who could go wrong with the ruben- us. there was no 1000 island on it & it left the taste of a salt block in my mouth when I tried it. I had ordered the French dip, and it was so bland I had to struggle to finish it.. I don't think we'll be going back. it wasn't very busy and we waited most of the night for food that was not worth waiting for. read more

This place is a dump. The food is over priced. They expect you to spend 10 dollars on 5 tacos you could get at taco bell . Our burgers came out raw. Everything had to be sent back and it took forever to get our meal. There is steak seasoning on the fries which is gross. The whole place smells like popcorn, super tacky! They try to make it family-friendly but the dining area is one room with a bar with a bunch of old guys getting drunk and cursing. To top it off, the owner doesn't even help his staff, he just sits there in front of everyone drinking. read more

What place serves raw hot dogs and then makes you pay for it still? River Ridge Golf Course. After taking three bites of a hot dog, my husband realized that it wasn't fully cooked. The outside was luke warm but the inside was ice cold. Told waitress, who didn't even ask if we would like something else instead, and she stated that she told the cook and they would be putting the hot dogs in water to keep them warm from now on. After all was said and done, we still had to pay 50% of the hot dog meal. And also was still charged the extra .25 cents for the onion on top. My Reuben sandwich was on soggy bread due to them not knowing how to serve sauerkraut on a sandwich without all the juice soaking into the bread, but I ate around the soggiest parts so we could at least get some of our moneys worth. If they made us pay for raw hot dogs lord knows they would make us pay for soggy bread. Never again will we eat here. read more

Great view and food is good. This has always been my favorite restaurant in Selah however after attempting to golf on their course as a beginner I may never return. This course has the expectation of being appropriate for beginners but we were harassed by the management despite the fact that we booked two tee times to compensate for our low skill. If you are still learning this is not the place for you!!! The management was extremely rude about our slow pace and we eventually left from embarrassment.
