The Slumberland store in Baraboo is spacious and well lit and they have a great selection, well arrayed. Their sales staff is prompt and courteous, and their managers -- while busy -- are not afraid to help out, which I found to be above and beyond the call. Ethan, who was the sales professional who helped me, was professional, well prepared, and knowledgeable. What he didn't know off the top of his head, he was able to retrieve immediately with his iPad, making the whole sales experience comfortable and seamless. I visited on Memorial Day, and took advantage of their sale. I think I got a good deal on a great brand. I would like to say I slept soundly; however I did wake up a couple of times in the night because I was surprised at how incredibly comfortable I was, compared to sleeping on my old mattress. I got up this morning without the usual backache that has plagued me for a year, and which was what prompted the visit to Slumberland in the first place. There is no doubt in my mind that I will return to the Baraboo Slumberland store for future furniture purchases. My only regret is that I waited so long to go there.

He introduced himself and I let him know we were just looking. Garrett was super friendly and let us know if we needed anything to let him know. What a relief. No salesperson breathing down our backs. Quite the opposite of what I usually experience at other furniture stores, and it was such a shopping pleasure with the approach Garrett used. I went in looking for a new mattress but was drawn to a living room set that caught my eye. It was perfect and we decided we would wait on the mattress and get the living room set. We found Garrett and asked a few questions about the set and decided to purchase it. Garrett had everything done and we were out the door in under 30 minutes. Garrett offered a protection plan which we declined. Guess what, no hard sell, no you have to have it, nothing except respecting our decision all with zero attitude. Garrett was awesome. We didn't get what we came in for as we gravitated to the living set instead. We will wait till Memorial Day and probably get the mattress then as we are on a budget. I am just thrilled with Garrett as he was the "PERFECT" salesperson for my personality. The entire visit was a breath of fresh air. Very happy also with the free delivery! Who does that? Also ignore the expensive sofas near the door if they are out of your price range. Ayers has a wide selection of price ranges and styles. We were able to choose something more modern for a small budget. Although we could have picked something traditional. They have a great in-stock floor selection, as well as an insane custom order area. Our salesman let us take our time and walk the whole store. He was kind and personable. Very low pressure! We ordered that day and we were able to receive it less than 6 days later! We could have received it sooner, but we are quite far from the store. The moving men were very quick and efficient. They didn't even bump anything, never mind actually damage anything. They let me know the timeframe they would be here all the way up to 2 mins away. The couch is sturdy and will last us a long time.

After much deliberation we found the one we wanted and purchased the floor model at a reasonable price. They not only offered free delivery, they took the old one! That was a huge selling point! The delivery guys not only were on time, they were a bit early! They were professional, and very good at what they did. Very deceiving from the street. Very nice selections of all interior things you could need! Lots of "lake house and north woods" decor. We picked a bed (lots to choose from) and all of the name brands. They delivered it the next day. After we slept on it we thought it was a little harder than we liked and they replaced it with the next softer model the next day with no hassle or questions! Think over and over again before purchasing from this business…read more..... This all started in the middle of May 2026. We wanted to shop local therefore we went to Baraboo Furniture. The attending representative, Eloise, was great. We purchased a swivel rocker which was in stock (Wisconsin built) and a loveseat from a different manufacturer was ordered. The swivel rocker was delivered within the week with the material on it having creases In it. I thought they would work out. After 8 days they were still there and seemed worse so we took pictures into the store. Tracy said it was a warranty issue and would contact the manufacturer. She would call us and let us know what is decided. We did not get a phone call back after two weeks so we called her. We had to continue calling every two weeks until July when we decided to contact the company. Nothing had been done by Baraboo Furniture so the manufacturer contacted them. Tracy tried to make excuses for horrible customer service by sending an email stating that she was not getting a response from us and was this ...... our phone number. She had called me on my phone one time before so I knew she had the correct number and was trying to put it on us. We sent an email back letting them know that they were not going to put horrible customer service on us and that we wanted a full refund! Again, after two weeks no reply so my husband went in and was given a full refund from Ken. While doing so Ken said to my husband, "There is no way we will ever be able to please you". Wow!!! This continued on until the last of July. I believe we were very patient with there poor service.

I was able to score a cute little 50's hat and a colorful ascot style tie. If we had more room in our car I would have snatched up the full set of china I found (for only $65!) and some of the cute furniture items. But Carolynne and I are already plotting a return trip to Beaver Dam just for the antique markets. Be forewarned, the Dusty Attic is cash and checks only! Bring your bank roll!
