The people who work in the office are very nice and helpful. We had the entire field to ourselves so that was a HUGE plus!! But I guess it was because not many people stay there in December. Many people who stay in the hookup area do not clean up after themselves and drive WAY too fast. I wish they had picnic tables for every site and the sites were level. Overall I would stay again as a rest spot on the way to where I am going. read more

They could do a better job to update their website on what sites are available to be booked when making reservations through their website. We booked a full hookup site and found out they were under construction until we pulled up into the place. Even though we received confirmation of our booking, there was no booking details upon arriving after hours. Their bathroom facilities where rough and not really clean. I feel like we totally got Lampoozled!!! We were parked in Ho1 and Ho2... there is NO shade. NO bbq. NO fire pit. NO tables. The pool and spa look like they are from 1970... pretty sure my kids came out with ringworm. Lol jk The "fishing" pond ... specifically says "no fishing" due to power lines in the water, so the pond is as useless as the pool. It's more like spring break party resort. No rules. No security. No workers after the office closes. But the river was fun. read more

Spent a few days there and was lied to regarding the spot we wanted. We wanted full hook ups for our R.V. and only got a spot with water and power. No table. No fire ring. Rude staff. Very noisy location. Constant drone of cars and trucks mixed in with train traffic. No Wi-Fi that was promised. Will never go back there again. read more

Checked in at 2:30pm after making an online reservation. We checked in at the window and received a receipt, map, and bathroom codes. No wifi password. Get to our site and there is trash piled everywhere. (Along with soda cans on table and scattered trash throughout sites.) We went back to the office and told her about trash at our site (so we didn't get charged for it) and was told she already left a note to have it picked up. (Never was) Try to use wifi and it needs a password (which we never received) not sure what that's all about. Get a knock on our door at 10am asking our last name, when we arrived, and who we paid blah blah.... (Felt like an interrogation. Very unsettling and felt like we were being profiled due to the fact our rig was older.) She tells us we need to go sign a release of liability. (Checkout is in an hour so what's the point now) She says she has no record in the computer of us. We said we had a receipt in the truck. We walk to the office, I show her the receipt and she asks what is it? Said she found us in the computer now. Had me sign a release of liability because we did it online and didn't check in. We did in fact check in at the window when we arrived. (How we got the receipt and map) No one had us sign anything. I said we also came back after we hooked up and told the other lady about the trash when we arrived. (Still there at 11am when we checked out) Very unorganized staff. Very loud with traffic and train. Very dirty grounds with trash piled up and scattered on all sites. Not worth the overpriced "resort" for even just one night. read more

The restaurant has closed down and a lot of people permanently live at this RV park which makes it look rundown. Our site was infested with wasps and bees. There is only one set of restrooms and they are far from any of the decent sites. I do not recommend camping here if you are looking for an RV resort. read more

This is more of a residential park. No furniture at the pool, no picnic table at our site. Located right next to the highway and all you near all night is traffic. Workers leave very early in the morning. Not sure I'd list it as a resort. We went to the restaurant which was great. read more

Web site needs to be updated.... Jacuzzi did not work, fishing lake was a swamp. Our site was full of small trash. Numerous bottle caps, candy wrappers , even used bandages. New owners are coming to take over and and help this resort desirable. Couple of office personal were so friendly and helpful. This spot is ok for an overnight stay. No thrills or frills. Not my cup of tea for a one week stay. I asked for full hook up and was not told there was a dump site instead of septic at each site. The dump site was at the other end of the park located in front of the women's bathroom; I'm not talking across the street I'm talking about immediately in front of the restroom. The restrooms were severely run down. My site was in between 2 tiny homes that were junkyards and the women next door had a barking dog who barked at everything. I had to keep my windows closed as the neighbor was a heavy smoker and all her smoke came into my rig. The next morning I requested a refund for the unused portion of my week stay and was penalized for lack of proper notice. I said to him his website was misleading and severely out dated. He just snickered and went on. read more

Stayed two nights after online reservations, arrived to an unkept facility, it has so much potential yet very run down, dirty restrooms, pool was dirty. Set up camp and took a walk with the girlfriend, very disappointing due to the river had little access, what appeared to be an abandoned hotel converted into trashy studio apartments, just garbage everywhere. So we thought about going to the hot tub and pool, well it was filthy had only 2 pool lounge chairs 1 being broke. $40.00 a night and we get these accommodations? WTF ? Terrible.... UNPROFESSIONAL/INCONVENIENT I'm being gracious with two stars here. Writing this on behalf of my boyfriend who doesn't have Yelp. He stayed in this resort the following years: 2015, 2016 and also some time in 2017. He returned to stay again about two weeks ago and paid for a weekly location. He then moved to a monthly location and had a pending application for a monthly spot. I'm not sure why this application was taking longer than a week to complete, but that's another story. Today he stopped by the office to pay rent and was notified by office personnel, who I presumed to be around 15 years old, that he needed to vacate for at least a day and then he could return. I cannot blame his decision to immediately hook up and leave and take his business elsewhere, because why would anyone choose to stay at a place of business who has an unprofessional office staff who cannot make reasonable decisions? We used to be big fans of the Smokehouse and this RV Resort but it turns out there are other options available that are far more professional and welcoming. Good-by Riverland. Yosemite RV Resort in Coarsegold was extremely accommodating last minute. A very clean, quiet and friendly place. Standards above and beyond Riverland RV Resort! read more

One star is overly generous for this run down place! Not only is it unkept, but is is right next to highway 99. If your plan is to escape the noise and sounds of the city, don't go there. Along with the sounds of semi trucks and cars lulling you awake, it feels like the train is running through your trailer! When we arrived, our site had been drenched with a sprinkler that ran all night requiring us to pull into an adjacent site right next to the parking lot of the restaurant inside the park. I truly have never experienced a worse place to camp in my life! We never slept all night long! When I requested a refund for our planned 4 days, after one miserable night, I was given a refund for one night only, due to such "short notice," but the resort, better known as a homeless encampment, was NOT even partially filled! We even had a full semi truck park next to us! It felt like a rest stop! read more

We were parked behind the office, next to a long term trailer, and the first night was fine. The second night, our next door neighbors were up past 1am being obnoxious. We have a 9 month old baby and twice I asked them to shhh and nothing. They woke her up 2 different times. Very inconsiderate!!!!! My other 3 kids kept waking up asking why they were so loI'd take the traffic noise over the ladies voice next to us. Our picnic table wasn't usable, needs to be redone. The River was fun for my kids and the pool/spa was nice but needs some attention as the plaster is falling off all over the bottom. There are posted rules and ages for kids at the pool, but not enforced and there were many kids there and no adults in site. The bar and grill was great and the people were very friendly. I am updating this review with a five star it turns out that they will except all the rigs if you're staying for a night or weekend etc. however if you choose or want to live here your rig must be new or I just need to charge my batteries for the night and the price was reasonable for water and electric however there is a dump station should you need to Use it I did not eat in the restaurant so I am unable to give a review for that but all in all it was a good experience because I was staying for one night I was put behind the office which was fine it's within a short walking distance to the river. read more

These people show no interest in taking bookings. I tried for over a week to book here because I needed to stay in the area. After calling several times over several days with nobody answering the phone, someone finally picked up and I spoke with a woman who told me to fill out the online form. Several days later I had not received a reply to my online booking request so I called and left a voicemail explaining how I filled out the form and was still hoping to book but had not heard back from anyone. Another day later a different woman returned my call also told me to fill out the form, which I had already done and mentioned in my voicemail, and I explained I had already spoken to someone and was calling to follow up so I could finally book. She told me she had just returned from a trip and would review the emails and told me I would get a call back......... Several days later no call back. Called them one last time and spoke to a third different person who said nothing was available and that they are a small business that gets their wires crossed. Nobody is on the same page here. They have no system in place to properly book or communicate with perspective guests. read more

Made a reservation for four sites 3 months in advance and stayed at this place for one night on our way up north. It is right next to the highway which stays busy all night long so take some earplugs. They stuck us right behind the office so we had a bright white porch light shining in our tent all night long. The four sites we were given were all dirt with very little grass, and no shade. There was trash all over the ground on our sites, the trash cans were overflowing with trash, and one of the toilets in the bathroom was plugged up all day and into the next day. The locks on the bathroom doors were in poor condition. There was something sharp on the bathroom door lock that sliced my finger. There is a pool, but absolutely no shade. So everyone got sunburned. We disliked this place so much that our entire group cancelled our reservations to stay here on our way home, and chose to drive 8 straight hours home than stay at this place again. read more

This resort (when you think of the word resort you normally think of higher then average accommodations, Not here) is really run down. They advertise a pool, it only had two lounge chairs so we didn't even bother going into the pool area. They advertise a lake, which is really small but pretty... but what they don't tell you is that all of their full time residents have all the great spots on the pond so your chances of getting one are slim to none, When we walked up to the Check in trailer all the girls were right in front smoking so when you walked in you had to walk through the stench of cigarette smoke, and maybe I'm just one who doesn't appreciate cigarettes and that could be my bias and I admit it, but while checking in one of the gals boyfriend/husband came in and started bickering with her and was swearing and throwing around f bombs, completely inappropriate, but again the gals were really nice. After check in we pulled into our site (which was next to a full time resident) and the resident was using all the hook ups so we had to disconnect their hook ups so we could hook up. Once pulled in we noticed there was no table at our site nor at any around us, so that is a negative cause the only way we could hang outside would be to unpack all of our stuff and we were just staying for one night so to that would have been inconvenient although if we really wanted to we could have pulled it all out, maybe we were just being lazy..., there were tons of gnats so even if we wanted to, it was hard to hang outside, all in all we just looked at it that we were only staying one night so we could live with it but to stay here any longer, In my humble opinion would be a mistake read more

After a particularly scary experience at an RV park in Fresno which we ran from we found this place. It was about 9pm on a Thursday night. No reservations, no idea about anything so we took a chance and called the after hours number. A really friendly woman answered and calmed my rising fears that this place might be as bad as the last. In no time at all we had settled on the correct spot for our trailer and she wished us a good night. We were close to the club (Bullfrogs) which was a bit loud but for us it wasn't a bother at all. There were many other sites to choose from which were farther away and much quieter. Unfortunately there is no water In the river at this time but that's just California not just this place. The price was. Rey comparable to all the other RV parks and for full hook ups it was fine with us! I took some great photos the next morning and scouted out the place wishing they served breakfast. It's all very clean and pretty big and definitely safe! We will stay there again and maybe next time join in on the fun at Bullfrogs. read more

Nice decor and view of river, is loud and more of club than dinner place. We ordered steak dinner plate and apple-blue cheese-pecan salad. Steak was tough and bland, rice was cold, salad wlted. Made a reservation online. They said they never received it so we had to sleep on the side of road until they arrived in the office the next morning. Stayed there for 6 months (big mistake) and the gym/ work out room was never opened or worked on. Just sat there. The kids play place is small & old. There are some aggressive dogs near the playground and I was scared to take my children by it at all. The laundry area is small, 3 washers/ 3 dryers, and one was always broken. The "riverfront" parking is a joke. No sewer and they charge you more for the "riverfront" parking. We were there when the river and the lake was gone, literally dried up. They empty your gray/ black tanks 3x week so if you do the dishes or take a shower everyday you will fill up quicker than they can empty it. Plenty of campers/ RVs older than 10 years and look abandoned. There is gated entry but there's a walk way right beside the gate so this place is far from secure. Chrisann is the so called manager and she is rude and plan nasty. She is unapproachable and a bully. I enquired as to who the manager was after she screamed at me in the office and was told that she handles all the complaints and the owner does not allow his info to be given out. The long time residents call the police frequently for noise complaints (children bouncing a basketball or a car radio on). The rules to cater to the residents who complain. The rules cater to the residents who complain. LOTS of grouchy residents with nothing to do but complain. Also, the WiFi is pretty much nonexistent. The signal is there but unable to connect. Riverland is directly across the street from the railroad tracks and the trains run all night. Very noisy and hard to rest much less carry on a conversation. The dumpsters over flow frequently and you can't even leave the camper open or it will be filled with flies. read more

4/21/2018 OK. Just OK. We were able to get in here for an overnight on a Saturday night, which was good. We have been here numerous times before on our way down the Central Valley. However, like mentioned before, I didn't notice too many improvements for the 1-nighters. Our site was located behind the office which is probably closest to the very busy and noisy Hwy 99 and an active train track. I didn't check out the laundry or bathrooms. We did eat dinner at the Smokehouse Bar and Grill. I think this must have had a name change. Was it called Bullfrogs? The food was good, the waitresses friendly, though not real attentive and service was a little slow. There were numerous TVs around the eating area and all were turned on. The TV located above us was turned to an infomercial and pretty loud. I finally asked a staff if we could change stations and the waitress accommodated our request. As for the river, well I didn't see it, but that's not the Resorts problem, that's just California drought. I walked the Resort area and talked to a couple residents. They have spots for RVs that stay longer, an apartment, cabins and long-term modular, a path around a fishing pond (catch and release). The long-term residents seemed happy there. It's just noisy for us overnighters. The final straw was when a person left the bar and spun donuts in the parking lot before hauling out of there around midnight or so. I didn't see any Security patrolling so not sure if that's something they have there. As big of a place as it is, I would hope so. read more

Oh Riverland Resort... First of all, the manager: Super awesome! She is very nice and very friendly. Alright so here is the skinny; it's a good sized park. They have a great walking path throughout the park and around the lake. Unfortunately it's off season, and also a severe drought down here, so needless to say there is no fresh water. The lake is drained and the river is all sand. It is a little pricey in my opinion comparing to other RV park prices which I could justify if they had the water... They do have a good sized pool (it's particularly cold) but bearable on a hot day, and the hot tub is slightly warmer than the pool temp (broken). We stayed in the studios... Some "interesting" folks living out here and not living quiet. Between the train, highway, kids, dirt bikes, & loud music from patrons you might want to invest in some earplugs if you value your sleep. The Bullfrogs Bar & Grill is pretty tasty but also expensive and you have to pay a $5 cover just to get in because it's more like a club than a restaurant. The park is supposed to have wifi but it doesn't work in the studios, and the computer center is always locked. They have a dinky yet appreciated workout center. I am dissatisfied with the lack of rule enforcement out here. Several dogs off leash, lots of cats all over, loud music and dirt bikes at night. The studios are bare bones when you move in, a few pieces of furniture, naked mattresses, and bugs & cob webs everywhere. They are equipped with a microwave and small fridge, makes it hard to make dinners... This place isn't horrible... But it should be cheaper... And I think they could make it better. read more

First, there is no river. I'm sure California's water problems are the reason the river dried up. Second, the road and train traffic is very loud at night. Not particularly well groomed landscape. This is not a "resort" quality RV Park, IMHO. We would come back. We would not recommend. NOTE: Our trip was end of September early October. read more

I stayed here about five years ago and probably would have rated it a four then, the years have not been kind! It appears they are putting money into cedar cabins and some kind of ownership program. The rest of the place has really gone downhill. I was in the gravel area and was not able to level my trailer. The group that pulled in next to me had there slide out 18 inches from the side of my trailer. There were prickly weeds all over. What disappointment, I was looking forward to spending a couple of nights there. Instead I forfeited my second night I'd paid for and got out of there. read more
