There's a good range of sizes, styles from casual to formal and a few accessories a man might need like ties, cufflinks (formal of course), socks, scarves and a small range of shoes. Overall a good selection plus there's always the sales rack on hand for a rummage baragin hunt.

However, upon entering inside I must say I was a little bit disappointed. There wasn't even one bedraggled vagrant in sight. It was not as I expected, there was not a line trolleys, laden with bottle and cans, parked out the front, and on the whole, the place did not have the putrid aroma of rotting eggs. Instead, I was met with a well dressed man vending slacks and collared shirts, and, i might add, in pristine condition.

They must have decent stuff their sometimes, I see my friends sporting them all the time. I don't quite know what's going on. There's definitely no where else called LAX. The surprise of seeing one of Australia's biggest young designers inside drew me inside. I had actually assumed from the outside that LAX was more a street fashion/ men's store, with all the sneakers on display, and the name 'LAX' as well. But glancing through the racks I was pleasantly surprised by the selection: lots of big name and hard-to-find-in-Adelaide designers like Antipodium, Jesse Hill, Josh Goot and the like, as well as bits from cheaper fashion labels like Minkpink. Yet, despite having some amazing labels on offer, something has stopped me from really liking and frequenting this store. It could be that the selection isn't huge, or the general food court ambiance, or the uninviting decor. Or it could be their edit of the labels just isn't really my style - it feels street/ surf/ skate even though it has a lot of higher end pieces, I can't put my finger on it.

They often have a sales rack out the front to attract customers inside but don't forget to look down the back near the change rooms as there is usually another sales rack hidden there. They also have a good selection of accessories to complete your outfit.

Their range is quite eclectic, and changes often. When this place is busy, it's a little overwhelming. There are women speaking loudly from all angles, and the shop assistants are very flamboyant, which can be quite fun. I often try to sneak in here for a quiet browse, but if it's busy I don't bother. Though, the sales racks are always worth a look, even if you have to elbow your way in to see them.

And as with any huge store the staff are too busy restocking shelves and carrying out maintenance rather than customer service, in fact...customers can be given a red flag to wave for assistance and over the loud speakers can come the announcement "service to isle 2594". In all honesty and respect, some of the staff are really knowledgeable and great plus you can see it in their eyes when it's time for you to leave....on one occasion I felt I should've parked further away just so they could've walked me over with my purchase instead of directly out the front. This really did happen to me, seriously! Bunnings is like a massive indoor playground short of a roller coaster, it has everything you would ever need to fix a hole in the wall or simply anything - incidentally - I heard this is the only hardware store you can buy the Polyfiller brand! No wonder it has no competitors with an ark like Bunnings and if it were open 24 hours a day, someone will surely be in there. More recently I've had to return a couple of faulty items to the returns desk and I think they have tightened up on what they accept back and in regards to cash back. A classic example is: I purchased an electric staple gun after reading on the label what it can staple. Went home tried to staple a thin piece of picture frame wire to wood and it didn't work but it did work when the staple went directly in plain wood. Now my definition of faulty and not working was not the same as theirs and cutting a long story short, lets just say I had a very hard time getting my money back.

I can't help myself, I'm a hardware store junkie. Luckily, Bunnings easily fulfills this addiction - and more. The Marion warehouse is HUGE, and while some people may get flustered searching for what they need I obtain a perverse sense of pleasure out of aimlessly wandering the aisles. Usually with my 5-year-old daughter perched on the end of the flat-bed trolly munching on one of the sausages from the fund-raising BBQ out the front. I have always found the staff to be incredibly helpful, however of a weekend it can be a little difficult to flag someone down. The only down side to Bunnings is the nursery section. While there is a varied selection of bagged soil, soil conditioners, mulches etc, the plant selection can at times look a little tired and wilted. It is a case of first in best dressed at times. And I know that this is not predominantly a plant nursery, but it would be nice for staff to show a little more care and attention to some of the more 'sickly' looking plants. All in all though, this is a mecca for those who pray to the power-tool gods and deities of paint samples. You can walk here for hours, pop into the cafe, refresh, then start walking all over again. I never get tired of it.

I know that it is a competitive business there, but they do have quite a following and for good reason. Blazae stocks some really nice in season fashionable clothing. One reason why this store is so popular is that the clothing is so well priced than other stores. I have seen some of the designer items significantly cheaper. Also, it is worth mentioning that the owner takes great care and passion in ensuring that her customers get quality for the right price. She tries to be competitive and does not need to do sales to attract customers. As for the clothing, there is always a rotating stock with the seasons and up coming fashion. So you know when you go there that you will get what is in at the moment. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help on style, the owner is so friendly and helpful. She wants all her customers to have a great fashion experience and leave the store looking fine!

Woah, contentious? Yes, well, opinions often are. Here you can buy coloured denim short shorts that look like the ends are turning into a rug. They are frayed to the point of the loose threads becoming dreadlocks, hanging around the thigh. They also sell a wide range of boob-tube tops and cut-off tops that leave the whole midriff bare. I'm getting sick of seeing the stomachs of 14 year olds wandering around in these things. YES, I'm jealous, I have a much older (and 'filled-out') stomach and am not putting it on display! And don't even get me started on the short shorts with the pockets hanging out.... They do have a great range of short, sparkly party dresses, and all at quite affordable prices. Blazae is a flashier, more 'night out' version of Supre, and aimed at the same young market. While I dislike much of their clothing, I have to give it to them - they do what they do well.

I'm always drawn to sale signs and there were a few without being tacky. There were only two staff members on the floor, both attending to others. It wasn't long before I was given the assistance I needed. I do like the styles on offer here and the prices are reasonable, so I'll be back. By the way, as this shop is within the Burnside Village there is plenty of parking.

They have cardigans for $4.95, t-shirts and casual dresses for $6.95, and fancy dresses for $10! Seriously guys, it definitely is a bargain store. I recently bought a dress for $10 from here, and it looks like it cost over $100. Lucky me! The store is big enough, enabling you plenty of room to browse the store comfortable. Considering the low prices, the shelves are still reasonably filled with stock. My only problem is the change rooms. There's not many and when there's big specials on it takes far too long to try anything on. You're better off guessing the size and just buying the clothes without trying them on. For that price, who cares?

The Valleygirl at Harbour Town is the only Valleygirl I ever go inside of. Why? Because it's so…read moremuch darn cheaper. If you couldn't care less with what's "new in fashion" or new on the racks, and just want a cheap as hell outfit - then this is definitely somewhere to have a look at. Filled with very pretty dresses, shirts, shorts and accessories, everything is really cheap. I doubt you'll find anything over $25 (and that's the full priced items). Anyway, the staff are pretty friendly here also. I travel from the other side of the city just to come here.

Artisan, colourful and more exotic than my own wardrobe, while Gorman isn't my exact cup of tea and I haven't bought a lot in the store - it does have the occasional piece I adore (those leopard pony skin boots from last season!) and is definitely worth a visit. The vibe is homespun eclectica: wood, earthy trinkets with pops of bright colours. Lots of African prints and quality fabrics, sweeping rather than body conscious cuts. It's grown up, intelligent quirk: the Frankie girls eat this stuff up. As well as the main line they offer and organics range and a friggen sweet selection of shoes. It's a lovely, spacious store that invites you in - an atmosphere strengthened by the friendly and helpful (though not intrusive) sales staff. Gorman is also committed to sustainable fashion and production processes, which makes them a winner in my book.

I seriously would save up for half a year in order to buy a pair of shoes here, buy 10 pairs and then be known as the girl who lives in a dumpster with amazing shoes. Their shoes are simply beautiful, and I recommend checking them out for hot dates, parties, comfy leather work platforms or wedges. Beware: once in, you may find yourself with a serious case of new lottery dream items.
