The items change depending on what comes in and when and how much they sell - if you're after a pair of chairs, for example, you should consider buying them there and then as this is a very popular place to buy furnishings. We have bought a few things from here, and on one occasion, my girlfriend was 50/50 on whether to buy a certain white, embellished dressing table. Great finds often occur in Antique shops, but are also snatched up very quickly. The owner, a charming old Indian man, offered to hold the dressing table for a few days if we left a £20 deposit. This allowed us to see other places, and was extremely kind of him because it definitely would have gone. We ended up buying the dressing table at a great price. Sometimes there are great things in here, and other times, it is the same old stuff, but if you ask the owner to take you around and show you what is what, he would be more than happy to do so, and he will even show you pictures of him when he was in his 20's. He has done this to us every time we have been there, he's great. He also provides a restoration service.

The first thing that caught my eye was a big chest outside - no, lads, not THAT kind of chest - it was like a big wooden treasure chest you'd see in a cartoon. I thought it would be great to put all my fancy-dress stuff in, because I have A LOT of it, and was pleasantly surprised by the £45 price tag. Pretty reasonable when compared to other antique and vintage shops! Among the random junk there was a retro rocking horse, antique desks, dining chair sets, cabinets, old records in their original covers, beer pumps and all sorts of other weird and wonderful bits 'n' bobs all crammed into a tiny shop. There were things hanging from the walls and stored up high so you didn't know where to look first and every glance brought you another interesting little (or large) trinket. Unfortunately I couldn't stay long as the boy was hungry and Banners jerk chicken was beckoning us, but I'm sure I'll be back soon for a more leisurely look around. Each of these items had a very good price. The staff took a lot of pride in the chest of drawers. Apparently, they had just stripped off its coat of paint and, finding the beautiful wood underneath, decided to leave it alone. Hattie Carnegie, Trifari, Kramer and Eisenberg were just some of the designers represented in his collection all beautifully displayed. This place is like a tiny museum for high end vintage costume jewelry. The owner also makes a line of jewelry using old stones and new settings. I bought a huge Christmas tree pin he made and wear it every year and get compliments galore. There are many great dealers in the road but my favourite by some distance is Eddy Bardawil. Mr Bardawil deals predominantly in 18th century English furniture and those who subscribe to the lazy modern notion that all antique furniture is "boring brown" need to visit asap. Mr Bardawil is particularly interested in mahogany furniture with incredible colour and surface patination and will not buy anything that has had its original surface tampered with or repolished. He has helped steer me towards quality pieces for my collection and made sure that I have stayed away from poorer pieces that I might otherwise have bought. A visit to his gallery is highly recommended and, although furniture dealers in London are never cheap, he is much more "realistically" priced than most of his competitors. Whether buying or simply browsing you will certainly be given a friendly welcome.

Beautiful 1st additions, poster dating back to the 1800's and some of the most amazing vintage postcards we've ever seen which are perfectly organised by subject. There's little gems everywhere if you look hard enough and we were told that the stock changes frequently due to a huge back stock that they haven't brought to the floor because of space.
