Avoid Dr. Antero!…read more Dr. Antero performed surgery on my foot, and it was a disaster. She excessively shortened my bone (first metatarsal), and the head of the bone was not properly placed into its joint (causing poor range-of-motion). Dr. Antero insisted that my surgery went well, but I kept peppering her with questions, because my foot just didn't seem to be okay -- I went from having a foot with a very minor problem, to having a foot that was so bad that I couldn't walk around the block without wearing an insert in my shoes. Dr. Antero responded to me asking lots of questions by trying to normalize her poor surgical outcome (she told me that other people had bones that were shortened more than mine, that other people had less range of motion than I had, and that she had bad range of motion, as if other people were happy with a surgical outcome that was significantly worse than the original condition!). It's especially infuriating that Dr. Antero became friendly with me, and used that relationship -- as well as her relationship as my surgeon -- to try to manipulate me into being okay with a terrible surgical outcome! Finally, after 3 months, Dr. Antero acknowledged what I already knew -- that I needed a revision surgery. Had she done closer post-op inspections, Dr. Antero would have noticed, for example, that my big toe didn't even touch the ground (maybe she noticed, but she never mentioned it to me). I'm sure that part of Dr. Antero's failure to accept that I needed a revision surgery was due to wishful thinking on her part, but surely her incompetence was the main culprit. As if all that wasn't bad enough, I later found out that I qualified for a minimally-invasive surgery option, but Dr. Antero didn't even inform me that such an option existed, because at that time, she wasn't trained to perform that procedure. Unbelievable! *** Update: I ended up having 3 surgeries to repair Dr. Antero's quackery. Because I had so many surgeries and I was immobile for so long, I had a pulmonary embolism (two, in fact). Dr. Antero's quackery literally almost cost me my life!

Crazy long wait time. Lack of respect for patients. The office is very dirty. Avoid this place.read more

This con artist will make you think he is your best friend.... Don't buy it! I knew something wasn't quite right on my initial visit, he shares the building with a chiropractic clinic.....strange.... Dr. Brown, as he calls himself, did the expected X-ray routine, after a short consultation, I uneasily agreed with his assessment... a steroid injection would cure the condition. I could barely walk an hour later, the pain was excruciating. I destroyed my shoulder a few years ago when the hang glider I was flying failed at around 200'....the pain in my foot was 10x worse.... I called Mr. Brown's office while driving home .... My initial concerns regarding the clinic became evident...My situation was a problem for them and they knew it... "We have an open space on Friday at 3:00pm, is that okay?" ..... Brown's treatment was on a Monday morning, I was out of the building around 10am...by 11am I was worried, I have a 45 - 60 minute drive left to my house and I can't feel anything but ice pick's going through my right foot.... The person I am speaking with took my information, co-payment and treatment fee 60 minutes earlier is insouciant. I am a retired pro, of what doesn't matter....I'm really pissed off at myself for missing the scam... W. Jude O'Donnell Fayette Co. AL 35555

I was sitting smack dab in the middle of Lurleen Wallace Blvd. about to be heading Up 69N. I called and got their after hours line and just left a message anyway. It was a 3:00 ( Friday afternoon),I felt quite sure they were not going to still be there by the time I got there. To my pleasant surprise, they were still open, even had people still in the waiting room when I rumbled in like a run away freight train, explaining my plight. This angel of a lady from behind the desk smiled and assured me, I was fine; she had gotten my message but bc she knew I was in heavy traffic and I had told her in my message that I was coming " just in case" they were still there, she had not phoned me back. ( now how considerate is that). She helped me fill out the necessary paperwork and after a short wait, Dr. Jeff Brown, himself, welcomed me back to the treatment room and addressed my foot issues. He did a spectacular job. He and his receptionist are both, helpful, courteous, compassionate and truly focused on the patient's needs. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied when you leave. Dr. Brown, where have you been all my life???? 100% satisfied.
