After having watched a few parties walk directly in and taken to a table, when the owner asked if we wd like walk in seating on the roof we told him no thank you that we had reservations. A little while later we checked the hostess station again and we were taken to a tiny booth next to the kitchen. The noise level was so loud and the atmosphere so unpleasant that we left before ordering and went to Downtown Kitchen. So very disappointed in RCB after having heard good things about the atmosphere and the staff. We did not anticipate our anniversary dinner being relegated to a small table in the busiest kitchen corner of the restaurant especially after arriving early and watching them "discover" our overlooked reservation in their system. read more

Very friendly and attentive staff. Decor and ambiance was welcoming, comfortable, and stylish and suitable for a date night. We started with the Rosemary bread appetizer which had a lovely seasoned crust but nice and chewy crumb structure. Our entrees were soup and salad. The house salads had fresh ingredients, but the lettuce pieces were massive. The crab bisque had a sherry flavor, which was initially a pleasant surprise. But became twangy the more you ate and thus went unfinished. My chicken noodle soup (substituting for Broccoli Cheese that they ran out of) was flavorful but was primarily broth. The waitress was great, attentive and one could just tell she loved working there. She must have told the manager (owner?) that it was our first time in so he came over and introduced himself to us. The quality of the food is just not worth the price. I came here recently and ordered the Lump Crab Cake Sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and a cup of tomato soup. I received the tomato soup first and it was awful. It tasted overly acidic and did not have any creaminess. The Lump Crab Cake Sandwich tasted ok, but they definitely skimped on the crab cake. It seemed they took a single appetizer crab cake, smashed it thin to fit the bun size, and served it with a bun as an entree. I visited this place back in 2019 before the pandemic and they had some AMAZING food. The pandemic hit and then they moved and the food became mediocre. I love the new location because the view is amazing. Service is pretty good. Seating is a bit too close for my comfort inside so I'll always sit outside. There is plenty parking but not in front of the restaurant, so be prepared to park by Publix or the other shoppes. With Cherokee High School building across the street, it's going to become a very hectic spot to get into. read more

OMG Y'all it just doesn't get any better than this! We were greeted and seated promptly. The waitstaff is attentive, personal and professional! We had Rosemary Garlic Bread, the Fried Green Tomatoes, the Southern Fried Chicken, and Fish & Chips. This food was so fricking delicious! The white sage gravy on the chicken filet was quite possibly the best I've ever had. Everything was very tasty and well prepared. I ordered a drink off the cocktail menu, typically I don't because nobody really gets it right. Here I got the 'Malibu Barbie', it was so, so good. A fantastic adult libation. The manager Tom stopped by and introduced himself, learning that this was our first visit, offered a free dessert. We passed, because we were so full. Can't say enough about this place. We're new to the area and are trying new spots. RCB was highly recommended. We went and are so glad we did! What an awesome facility. I could immediately tell that the building was built as a restaurant and not some location that had been converted from something else. That truly adds to the vibe. What an amazing spot! Food was awesome, portions generous. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had the quiche. We also had the bread pudding. So good. But I have a strong hunch that's pretty much the norm for everything on the menu. (I might add-some guy behind us order the fried chicken sandwich; he immediately asked for a box. It was massive!) But there's something cultural about this place. People genuinely love working there. Went for lunch yesterday with a friend. We were sat on the downstairs patio. It was crowded as they sat two large groups in the middle and we were crammed into a 2 top along the edge. It was not a comfortable temperature, really humid and they had no air moving at all. We ordered our food, we both got French onion soup and my friend paired with the fried burrata salad and I got the fried green tomato sandwich. About 10 minutes later the waitresses came back and said they were out of the French onion soup. This was at 2:30 on a Saturday. We selected new sides and then waited at least another 30 minutes for our food. My fries came out totally cold and hard. My friends shrimp for the salad were cold as well. The burrata salad came with a pathetic amount of lettuce, definitely do not recommend. The fried green tomato sandwich was ok but not seasoned at all. The goat cheese was in one little blob in the middle making it dry everywhere else and it basically just fell apart. I end up just eat the tomatoes on their own and taking the bread off. The service was incredibly slow, even our check took forever to come and over 10 minutes to cash out. I've been here multiple times before and always have been really impressed but it was really disappointing yesterday. I don't know when I'll be back, they were obviously busy but when you pay to eat out somewhere you expect at least part of the experience to be positive. The entrees, unfortunately, were not as good. I had a House Salad with Filet Tips and it was very disappointing. Salad was lukewarm and limp, and the Tips were so chewy that 3 out of the six were inedible. My husband had the Salisbury wagyu steak which seemed more like an overcooked burger in gravy and had little flavor; it seemed overpriced for around $30. The restaurant is also consistently packed - lunch and dinner! This says a lot about its ability to appeal to the masses. I really like the crab cake sandwich, but tonight I ordered the grilled salmon with seasonal veggies (squash, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, carrots). I also couldn't resist the RCB house salad - it's very fresh and delicious. As always, I go for the unsweetened tea like a true southern gal and I really like RCB's brew. :) The hostess stand is always friendly and sweet (a rarity in most places IMO) and we love the servers. A very solid four star dinner. This place is small but has a cool vibe. Not too crowded when I walked in and sat at the bar at 5:30 but packed by the time I left. Shalee tried her best to serve me well all evening but they seemed understaffed and service slipped as she was working the bar and a couple of tables. She suggested a local IPA called New Realm and it was quite good. I ordered a ham and collared green soup but they mistakenly brought me a crab bisque. It took a couple of bites to figure out what I was eating was neither ham nor collared greens and they replaced it a few minutes later. The soups were delicious but the ham and collared was much better. I also ordered a small chopped wedge salad and was quite pleased with the mixture. My Cajun grouper sandwich came with a side of overly salty mixed veggies. The sandwich was delicious with their daily special grouper. It was decent sized and quite satisfying. What a delicious, delightful lunch my friend and I enjoyed at RCB today, our first time to the restaurant. She lives in Cumming, and I live in Acworth, so we met here, and RCB will become our new meeting spot. Our sweet waitress Riley guided us through the menu, and my friend and I used her recommendations for a yummy lunch. She got the turkey reuben sandwich and a cup of the soup of the day, a cheeseburger soup for which she wanted the recipe! I got the half/half as well with the fried green tomato sandwich and sweet potato fries. YUM. The green tomatoes were light and tasty, and the balsamic and other sauce with a zing added to the delicious sandwich with bacon and arugula. The manager Todd came by to check on us since he knew it was our first visit (great communication for him to know this and to come by our table). We chatted for a bit, and then he let me choose a dessert (the chocolate brownie on Riley's recommendation -- she led me the right way, again!) for my birthday which is tomorrow. While in meetings in Canton, GA, my boss invited me to this place and what an amazing experience it was! The restaurant was buzzing with activity while their attentive staff took care of our every need. Very well organized operation, considering that every table and seat was taken. As for the food? Where to begin? I had the twin lobster tails and they were perfectly made. My hosts had the trout and the flat iron steak and they loved both dishes. The care that went into preparing our food, even in the middle of a significant dinner rush, was admirable. Kudos to whoever is running the kitchen as everything was on point. Our bartender, who is also their pastry chef, recommended the creme brûlée and it was one of the best I've ever had. I though it was quite unique to have the person who prepared our desert also serve our drinks. Her name is Taylor and she was extremely attentive, helpful and charming. The drinks are truly one of a kind, and I've yet to have anything I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere can be described as casually elegant. Sat fairly quickly and received drinks. Not the best in the world, mojito had zero flavor and the margarita was bleh. I will say that the beverage manager was on top of things and noticed that there was an issue. Remade and it was still eh. No mojito mix used. Also had the whiskey mule. Need a better ginger beer. No taste whatsoever. Fried pickles....hard to eat. Salmon....extremely overcooked and absolutely no seasoning. Meatloaf...I will say what the f with this...not going to mention what it looked like but the flavor...burnt and actually over seasoned. Too much bread in it as well. Mashed pots were cold. Risotto had cream in it. NO NO NO. Risotto does not have cream. Please stop. Not to mention no seasoning. Overall, manager presence was good, but the food/drinks were not good whatsoever. This place used to be much better. Not sure I would make the drive back to this place. Very disappointing adventure. We had to go to another restaurant to get some food after. I will say my BF burger (the Southern Belle) was so good and our appetizers fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese was so flavorful and delicious. I'm not sure where they went wrong on the shrimp n' grits. Perhaps focus more on the overall flavor and the quality of the shrimp and remove the sautéd onions. Just my culinary opinion.
