Love it here. Clean and cheap. Great place to go for a family on a budget. You can bring your own food.

Went to this fabulous waterfront restaurant with near-panoramic views from almost every angle on Mother's Day with relatives and had a wonderful time here!

My family loves looking in the shops and stopping by the coffee shop for a quick treat before heading downstairs! Beehive is an awesome place for so many things! Music class, birthday parties, pop up kids theater and open play on weekdays and Sundays! My kids absolutely love coming here to make an artistic mess in the art room, go down the slide, cruise around on their ride on toys, climb, make music, build, play with the train tracks, make a meal in the pretend kitchen, read a book or just run around like the crazy lunatics they are. For the parents, they have a bunch of seating options, or you can just plop down in the floor. Free wifi, friendly people and a nice cozy place to hang out. This place is perfect for parents of kids 7ish and under.

All other eateries are mentioned - the other bakery more than once. Second Daughter was a James Beard Foundation semifinalist in 2022 and there have been numerous accolades since. The other bakery, I noticed the last time I was there, offered a savory pastry that was quite similar to the one that Second Daughter has had on their menu for years. My understanding is that's a non-complete violation. Shame on Bok management for what appears to be biased [in]actions against Second Daughter.

This one is up there with our faves so far! Not sure how I missed this one as I've taken my daughters to the playground just on the other side of the fence many times since they were young. The pool however, is actually located ON Fairmount. (2 hr free street parking all around) There are cement bleachers and cushions for lounging, as well as neat little cubbies to place your belongings. The pool is immaculate and separated by rope from the 3 footer end and the 4 ft plus end. Two lifeguards were on duty at all times, one on each side of the pool. They were playing some popular tunes my girls and I had a great time jamming to in the star. Nothing too loud, but made the experience that much more fun. I have never heard music at any other public pools. There are restrooms right there and they weren't awful. Decent in fact. Lol The rules are fairly simple-you must take a quick shower before entering the water and to refrain from taking photos. (I snapped just a few before they officially opened for you guys) They have a little garden, which is a nice touch! Everyone was super friendly taking time to get to know one another and chatting about the neighborhood. It was mostly filled with residents from NoLibs, but I'm going to say it was worth the trek from across town. Nothing like enjoying free access to a large pool without having to leave the city. You can easily make a nice day of it and hit up one of the casual restaurants nearby afterwards...Abbaye, Wahlburgers, Apricotstone etc My kiddos begged to return the following day and we basically have our own private pool just outside the city.

I just happen to live nearby so this is the best resource available. They've got a good range of memberships available. I'm usually staying on the 3-month membership so there's repeated intervals of getting motivated again to make good use of the money I spend. There's three floors here. First floor is mostly the lobby, but also some locker rooms, squash courts, and the pool. Upstairs is the main gym area, including the rooms where classes take place, basketball court, rock wall, and indoor track. If you come over the course of an academic quarter, you'll notice the ebb and flow across time of day and know exactly when midterms and finals seasons are. Suddenly it's a lot easier to get a squat rack for some reason. Things are kept pretty clean for the amount of traffic that comes through, especially student traffic, and the students who frequent are pretty good at re-racking correctly and wiping down benches after use. Membership team here has always been helpful! For some reason, they have limited hours on when you can process membership payments and renewals, but usually it's not a huge issue to get it done. On the whole it's a decent gym for the price. Though I'm no expert, but it's more than enough for me!
