Jennie is not just an incredibly talented videographer, but she's a wonderful human being too. She was the first vendor we booked for our April 2020 wedding (that obviously was canceled due to Covid) and was super patient and helpful during the almost 2 years we ended up planning our wedding because of multiple cancellations. She gave us tons of recommendations for other vendors, many of whom became instrumental parts of our day, like Kelsey Crews Photo and Tanya of RSVP Weddings & Events. She became a friend throughout the long process of our wedding planning and she even met up with us when we drove down to Santa Barbara to check out some venues and meet some vendors. She showed us this hidden gem of a ceremony venue that I fell head over heels in love with (although unfortunately we didn't get to be married there because I let my husband have his first choice of ceremony venue, as it was one of the only things he actually cared about). My husband and I are both pretty introverted and awkward people, and hate being the center of attention and people looking at us, so we were NOT looking forward to being filmed or photographed. However, Jennie (and our photographer Kelsey Crews) were so warm and sweet and fun that they actually made the photoshoot one of the most enjoyable parts of the day! The 4 of us went off after the ceremony before the reception to film some footage and take photos, and we had an absolute blast! Jennie was even kind enough to send a 1-min sneak peek video the day after our wedding that I got to watch on repeat basically the entire 4.5 hour car ride back to the Bay Area! Choosing Riviera Productions to shoot our day was the single best decision I made throughout this entire process, because without Jennie (and some of the other vendors she introduced us to), we never would have had even close to as perfect a day as we did. I just received the video from our daughter's wedding and could not be happier. Jennie and Heather were so unobtrusive during the filming, I wondered if they captured everything. They did. It's just beautiful to relive the day. Hearing the voices and music brings a completely new emotion to enjoying the memories. I'm a wedding photographer, and I often get asked by couple's if they "need" video. I've always answered that it's a different medium and that if they can do both, they should. I can not express how thankful I am to have had Riviera Productions capture my wedding day. Some might state that a photographer is all that's necessary but I wholeheartedly disagree. Photos can only capture so much. But to hear the music, hear the speeches, and watch the actions during the passing of time brought out so many emotions that I wouldn't trade it for anything. Guests at my wedding will say it was a beautiful and stunning event. While I completely agree, there were so many things that took place behind the scenes ruining my special day until I saw my video. Watching the moments captured by Riviera Productions brought me to tears more than once. The songs, timing along with the moments they captured were so beautifully touching. During the vows, our officiant decided to state the vows all in one breath instead of giving them to me in segments for my speaking portion which of course I screwed up. Heather was able to do some editing magic that saved that portion of the video making me feel so much better. For brides who are concerned of mishaps, well don't worry they will edit anything out which was wonderful. I am so impressed because without even asking them, they captured all the details, the cake, the gifts, the tables, the flowers...everything. It just really took me back to that day but only it was better. I also asked they capture a message from my Grandmother who was miraculously able to survive to see this day occur. I can not tell you how much I laughed and cried watching her. This alone meant the world to me. We had such a great experience with Riviera Productions. Jennie and Heather recorded our wedding ceremony and Jennie stuck around for the rest of the evening to record the reception. We were so happy to work with Jennie. She is such a sweet individual; so nice and cheerful. It was a pleasure having her at our wedding. We tied the knot in April of this year up in Santa Barbara, and realized only a few weeks before our wedding that we wanted to have a video copy of everything that transpired on our big day. Jennie and Heather were rock stars for us! I'm so glad we did capture this because photos tell a beautiful story, but don't capture the full essence of the day. Riviera was so great on our wedding day. They were very good at communicating up front, and responding back to any questions, ideas or concerns in a timely manner. I contacted Riviera Productions in hopes of creating a promotional video for my newborn portrait studio. They were extremely professional in their correspondence, arrived early to the shoot and worked well with all the other vendors I had in my small space. Jennie was calm (totally required around my clients...newborn babies!) and gave me quite and concise directions throughout the shoot. Later was the hardest part for me...the audio voice over! Jennie helped me walk through my script and get the general idea down, but then encouraged me to just talk. This took time, and she was patient. I cannot imagine a better experience with videographers than we had with Riviera Productions. We weren't going to have a video done at all, but were convinced by our parents to at least look into it, so I emailed a few companies in the area. Riviera productions were far and away the most flexible, accommodating, AND had the best price. I asked them to downgrade one of their packages to match our needs better, and not only were they willing to do so, but for no extra charge added additional benefits just because they knew it would make for a better video wanted it to be something we loved for years down the road. During the wedding they were extremely pleasant and friendly, not at all in the way during the ceremony or reception but somehow still capturing everything. And after the wedding, Jennie was in constant contact with us to make sure that the video would turn out exactly how we wanted it. It did, and the end product is now one of our most treasured possessions. We can't believe now how close we came to not hiring a videographer. Do NOT pass her services up! After being bogged down with wedding costs and planning (and my now-husband stressing out about finances because no matter how well you budget, there are always unforeseen costs once you get into the thick of it), I was set on not having a videographer, but my mom was adamant about having video of the ceremony. She found Jennie and booked her, and in hindsight (after receiving my video and highlight video), I only wish that I had requested her for the entire day instead of just the ceremony. She is so artistic and adds so many subtle details that your ceremony reflects the work of art it is.
