She did a great job demonstrating the steps and breaking down each step so we knew exactly how to move. Each class, we would revisit the previous lessons and learn more advanced moves. We went through lots of reps and practiced a lot to the music. By the end of our sessions, we felt extremely confident and our first dance went really well! She broke down all of the dance steps into small parts to build our confidence and had us put them all together once we mastered them. I saw the video and said to myself, "Thats what I want in my life, to be able dance so freely and powerful, in a random street in Barcelona. I hadn't been to any dance socials and Cecilia was super friendly and had a family warm feeling. I was very shy to see my inspiration but when a particular guy was badly bothering me, I told Cecilia and she protected me by blocking his passage my way. With Cecilia I gained a proper Salsa and Bachata foundation. Today I take her Zoom classes twice a week because she is so fun and explains the movements so well. The studio is a shared space, and the instructor played music from a phone or a weak speaker, making it extremely difficult to hear our song. The lesson itself felt disorganized, and my partner and I had to continually redirect the instructor to stay on track. Ultimately, we sought out a different studio because we did not feel we were getting the guidance we needed. We would appreciate a refund for this disappointing experience. Would not recommend -- consider booking elsewhere.

I was visiting a relative in town and was just looking for a place to run and work out in that wasn't outdoors in 90+-degree weather. (We Southern Californians are weather wimps.) It was so nice and cool - which is not true of all DC-area gyms. It was also clean and felt very safe for my first indoors post-pandemic workout. Best of all, the people that worked there were super helpful while being low-key. And it wasn't crowded both times I went, with the customers also seeming to be pretty low-key while being focused on their workout. (No grunting loudly every single rep and slamming weights down at the end of the set, which, any pro will tell you, honestly means you need to take the weights down a bit until you can control them.) I just wish I could transport Energy Club to Southern California. But if you live in the area, do yourself a favor and check them out.

The equipment variety is endless, giving you a ton of creativity with workouts so you never get bored. The facility is clean and very well maintained. Not only is the entire staff incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming but so are the rest of the members. There is zero judgment or ego here.
