Stephen was our designer and was with us every step of the way. He explained the different types and cost levels of each cabinet. We had an idea for the layout of the kitchen. Stephan took our ideas and transformed it into my dream kitchen. The installation of the cabinets was flawless. My husband commented that they thought of everything. We were both impressed with the quality of work, great communication and patience. We had several delays before installation, but Holman's had no problem with the delay. We were so satisfied with the entire experience, we had Holman's design and install our bathroom cabinets. They also built our island wood countertop. Larry is the first to tell you that he has been in the business for 30 years and knows how to build a home, and he does. However, I would not recommend him to anyone. Our home is a Superior Walls home. If your home is 2 stories, Larry and crew will not be able to marry up the upper floor correctly. If there is a way to get out of fixing something, he will. Friends of ours who used Larry as a contractor for Superior Walls had to do major reconstruction to fix mistakes. We also have uneven floors. Since he subcontracts out himself for carpentry, he can charge you anything he wants for labor. If you decide to go with him, watch him closely. Ask him what he charges in labor per hour. Clock the time he is there working. Our build was in two phases, he charged twice as much per hour the second phase than he did the first. This resulted in a build that was 5 figures more than what we budgeted. Bottom line, don't go with Larry for Superior Wall home construction and make sure you have a contract with detailed charges on labor for carpentry.

We made a written offer to DHC on 1/4/19. We came to a verbal agreement that afternoon and we were…read morewaiting to receive the signed offer. My agent (Jeff Cason) met with DHC's agent (Shawan Weathers) on 1/5 to give her my earnest money ($4,000). We were told several times we needed to pick the brick color immediately. We offered to do that on 1/6 but the store wasn't open on Sundays. We agreed to meet at 4:00pm on 1/7. We were told we'd have a signed offer the morning of 1/7 and would also get an address for the brick company. Jeff reached out to Shawan numerous times on 1/7 and she wouldn't respond. I left a message with her at 1:00pm. Shawan sent Jeff a text to call her. However, when he did, she wouldn't get on the phone with him. Instead she had her husband talk to Jeff. Jeff was told DHC had signed a contract with another couple for the same house because they didn't have a contingency on their offer. This happened within 48 hours of him accepting our offer and check. We were not informed another offer had been received nor given the opportunity to remove the contingency from our offer. The original completion date for the house was February 9th. We were asked to extend that to March 22nd and then to mid April which we agreed to. This gave us three months to sell our house which had been placed on the market when we received the verbal agreement. Because of the way we were treated, I asked to have my check returned via certified mail instead of standard mail but my request was refused. I could either have it sent standard mail or Jeff would have to drive back out to Murfreesboro to pick it up. I had to incur a $30 stop payment fee because I don't trust that they will return my check.
