An awful experience with Walton Flooring Centre…read more We visited Walton Flooring Centre to look for laminate flooring for our guest bedroom. We found a model we liked for a reasonable price and were told by the salesman that we could call back the following day to pay a deposit and place the order. We spent the following three days placing calls and leaving messages to try to pay the deposit. No answer at all at the shop and no returned calls. Very poor service and enough to convince us that we had a lucky miss! On the fourth day, we finally received a call back from the salesman who explained that they had been "busy!" He then had the cheek to demand that we pay the deposit as he had "ordered materials". The following day he made a threatening call saying they would go to the small claims court for the deposit! This was despite admitting that no order had been placed. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! (We ordered our flooring from a competitor who are little more expensive but are approved by the Office of Fair Trading so we feel far more secure with them.)

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do not use !!!! Laid flooring 6 weeks…read moreago and kept saying coming back to finish the silicone. Cancelled on the night twice. The initial lay of floor was a messy by them. No communication between managers or indeed floor layers. The manager at Wavertree has no customer skills, no apologies and is argumentative. If you want a good job doing and expect coutesty I suggest you look elsewhere. If a response from company is of "not correct" I am happy to post further info. Manager has no management skills!

Steve has once again provided us with an astounding quality of work, turning our storage "room of…read moredoom" into a fantastic office/studio space. From Dry walling, plastering, electrics to moving and plumbing a new radiator in and fitting a new laminate floor, all work was completed to fantastic standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve for any building work needed.

We used Tidysite to carry out a knock through and to fit a new kitchen. Tidysite weren't the…read morecheapest company but after reading their reviews we decided that it was worth paying more - particularly as they market themselves as Christian builders, but we had nothing but trouble from them, with the exception of the kitchen fitters. There were hidden costs (trying to charge us £1000 extra for minor electrical work that should have been included in the estimate) and poor workmanship (damaging our chimney breast leaving it hanging off and then charging us to fix it). Now our new kitchen has been flooded as the washing machine was plumbed in incorrectly causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage. We have tried to speak to Graham Hughes who refuses to take our calls and has not rang us to apologise and has not given any compensation for the damage they have caused. Tidysite website creates the impression they have their own in-house electrician, plumber and kitchen fitters but they don't. Tidysite employ other contractors to do these jobs. They pay the contractors- charge you more money and then take a cut for themselves. I am flabbergasted by the awful work that has been out and the atrocious customer service. I do not believe that all the reviews we found for Tidysite are genuine. We are in the process of reporting Tidysite to Trading Standards. If anyone wants any proof, I will be happy to disclose all the emails I have had with Graham Hughes and his team about these complaints.
