Terrible clinic and staff. For my first appointment (consult), I was not seen by the doctor but by…read morethe PA. The only time the doctor said hello was when my husband was doing his bloodwork. The male doctor is not very compassionate and has the worst bedside manner that I have seen. For my egg retrievals, the anesthesiologist was literally 3 hours late and I lost the entire lot. I got no apology and no refund. The doctor blamed me and said I had suboptimal fertility and refused to even do an implantation. I guess he didnt want to affect his numbers and thought that I would ruin his implant-to-pregnancy ratio. He made me freeze my embryos forcing me to pay storage fees and still would not implant. I ended up being forced to destroy the embryos. The staff was equally as rude and treats patients like liabilities. Look it is bad enough that we are going through difficulties getting pregnant, but they had no compassion at all. Well, fast forward to months later and a different clinic with much better reviews. I saw a better doctor who said my egg count was excellent. We got pregnant on the FIRST ATTEMPT. I am now looking at my little one. Also, be forewarned that this clinic does NOT work on weekends, not even for monitoring. Go at your own risk.

First let me start with Dr. Trivax who is absolutely AMAZING! Unlike my previous doctor, as soon as outcomes were not as expected he left no stone unturned and did additional testing to identify an underlying issue that was the KEY to exactally why I have struggled so long with secondary infertility. I can't say enough great things about him. However the FINANCE DEPARTMENT is BEYOND HORRIBLE!! It's such a SHAME such great doctor staff are supported by such a poor performing finance department. I don't know how anyone there still has a job. My initial retrevial I almost missed starting my meds because it took almost week to get in contact with someone and get the issues resolved. It's close to impossible to get someone on the phone unless you raise all h*ll and call the office non stop leaving messages with every other department. Kudos to the nursing staff whose other main job is trying to get finance to call back patients. Additionally, after I did all my due diligence they are trying to tell me I have significant fees due AFTER I had the procedure done. Which they are now willing to "see what they can do and discuss with doctor" because ya, they dropped the ball informing me of these fees prior to procedure (mind you they even have a call with you prior to go over all fees you will be responsible for). And again, after I did my due diligence to ensure what my expected out of pocket would be for back to back retrievals they call me MID CYCLE to inform me oops that I owe fees and want to make me aware before I start my cycle.. but they are notifying me day 4 which is no where near before the start of a cycle. If you are between facilities, I strongly urge you to do your homework and due diligence as you will have nothing but headaches with the finance department which unfortunately is part of your journey. My reprieve from frustration, disappointment and feeling like a number concluded when I made my first phone call to the Yale Fertility Center of Westport. Christine communicated to me from the get go that I would receive a more personal touch and proved that at my first appointment. Perhaps even earlier that that when I think back. You see my appointment was made for the following week, yet I received a phone call from Dr. Seifer on a Saturday afternoon. He called to introduce himself and ask questions for our upcoming appointment in preparation of my complicated history. Dr. Seifer has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is thorough when explaining the process, procedures and expected outcomes. He has a sweet demeanor and is the upmost professional. Patricia O'Neill, Nurse Practioner is a dream come true. She is detail oriented and is understanding of how overwhelming the process can be. She stands by her words when she says she is always available to answer questions and gets the process moving. The office staff and nursing staff was just as amazing - from getting insurance information completed and approved to having blood work done without the feel of the needle! As a RN, I know how important it is to have good, quality care. Regardless of if we become pregnant or not, it doesn't matter. What matters to me is that the person I choose to take care of me makes me feel like they care. And that, that is exactly how I felt when I got off the phone with Dr. Seifer that Saturday afternoon. Happily, I continued to feel that way every time I interact with the staff in the comfort of the Westport office.

She is very personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about you as a person. You aren't just another number or another patient, you are part of their family as soon as you walk through the doors. Hours are also accommodating to those who work, which is a plus. Blood draws are no big deal when the girls who are doing it are smiling and are so good at it, you don't even feel it. Everything is explained so that you know exactly what's expected of you and know precisely what the next steps are. My overall rating is dragged down by the billing department- it's been an ongoing painful process with them that we are still dealing with. As others described- I have filled out endless forms since 2023 to destroy specimen no longer needed. A year after the forms were signed, I was told there was a clinical error but my initial dates would be honored. Then the bills came. Impossible to get someone on the phone, when I finally did I was first told don't worry, it's a new billing system acting up, ignore the bills. Then the bills came again and I thought we were finally done after yet another round with the billing dept, but now a collection agency is in the mix. It's been impossible to get an accurate breakdown of what we are even being billed for and at this point I just want to pay and move on. So, beware I suppose if you choose RMA, be very clear and capture all communication so you have it if needed.
