Worst massage of my life. To start, no customer service. When I phoned, the person seemed eager to get me off the phone, did not ask my name or contact details. Usually you are asked to come early to fill in paperwork and ask your problem areas. I know there is call display but I was calling on my work phone so cell is different number. Told me the address but not that it was a home with no parking and where to come in. No one answered the door. I finally walked in and called but no one answered. No one answered the phone either. Finally got someone and had massage. It felt rushed since she moved with rapid speed from one area to another. I left with a headache and pain along my spine that hadn't been there before. read more

Weixiang Wu is the Dahli Lama of Massage. He is a Registered Massage Therapist and Acupuncturist and does Tuina Therapeutic massage and I think others do Reflexology. I am able to walk today and could not walk well before treatment due to lower back pain. Prepared to be amazed. I also love the tea he serves and his beautiful but simple treatment rooms. Love my full hour, full body massage. It's a combination of Chinese tuina, Swedish massage, sometimes depending on the symptoms/problems it's paired with hot stone massage or aromatherapy. I've been getting massage, physiology, chiropractic and acupuncture done on my shoulders and lower back for the past year but this technique is so far the only style that really relieve my pain. I still visit with the other practitioners but I regularly visit this clinic and it doesn't seem to matter who works on me. I can't say enough of this practice and the clinic is calm and quiet. Don't let the location fool you this place is professional and does a great job. I had a Tuina massage and was worried it wouldn't be deep and relaxing but the owner assured me it would so I went in. The building is an old house with signage and hours posted outside. When you enter it's obvious that this is their residence as well as office which is the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. Nothing wrong with living there and operating a business but it needs some minor things done to distract clients from this fact. A small sign inside the door pointing to the office and closing the kitchen door are two examples. I was greeted at the office door by a man and woman who were the owners/operators of the establishment. They were both wearing white coats over their normal clothing which was a nice touch. The man, who I was talking to over Kijiji chat, asked me to fill out a consent form (similar to any professional RMT or Physio/acupuncture establishment). The woman who I believe is his wife handed me a small teacup of Chinese tea which was great to set the mood. Once I finished the paperwork the man told me that his wife is very strong and can get deep into the muscle but if it wasn't enough he could step in. I received my full hour massage. They offer a few different services I believe all of them are dry and the go overtop of a sheet. The massage started on my back and neck and then to my legs and arms including some shoulder work. They used some nice stretching technique and joint manipulation as well. All in all this was the best massage I have ever had and I have been to a few different places in the Barrie area as well as Ottawa and le Nordik in Chelsea Quebec. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a professional no nonsense massage. read more

I was a little skeptical at first, as it was a home based business. I was very pleased though. The appointment went great! I was greeted at the door by a Chinese couple and handed some standard paperwork along with some Chinese green tea. I booked an appointment for an hour long tunia massage. It was the best I have ever received! My right shoulder was in a lot of pain and after two days (along with a ginger heat pad they gave me to use at home) I felt great. I had the husband? massage me and he was not afraid to use some force. The tunia massage was done with no oil and mostly through my clothes. Its great because I prefer my massages this way as using lots of oil is not a good thing for me. He did use a little oil here and there for some of the very tight spots, but it was minimal. After the massage I was given more tea and some advice on how to deal and what to expect when I get home. I had a very good experience there and will be going back as they work with insurance. If you are looking for a different experience or want a change from your standard types of massages (which they also do!), I suggest giving them a call and setting up an appointment. This is the best massage I ever had and I'm fussy. This guy focus also on joints as well and he knows what he's doing. My husband swears by him and now he has moved to a lovely home on grove street giving very comfortable surroundings. My whole body feels good. Don't worry, if you like deep massage, you will get it. This is definitely different than a therapist just massaging muscles. Just look so forward to my massage here! May even get a cup of Chinese tea. read more
